- I couldn't believe it when Ferrari Colchester asked if I wanted to drive their Ferrari 488 GTB! Of course I said yes! We made the best video we could...without my Go Pro! Enjoy!

I don't think the 488 sounds as bad as everyone is saying. Iv seen a couple on the road and they actually sounded quite good. But, if I owned one Id defiantly fit a Novitech exhaust system. It sounds incredible!
It sounds about as good as McLarens. But not quite as good as its predecessors.

Paul, man, your content is freaking awesome and I love it. But I'd say you should consider upping your production quality. There's so much scope for creativity with video, maybe try some stuff like:
- Rather than uploading in 50p, maybe think about going all the way to 60p or bringing it back down to 30p or even 24p (personally I think 24p offers the nicest effect)
- Consider doing some actual colour grading to the videos as a lot of the time they just look really lifeless and dull. I'd really love to see the stuff you film with some proper colour grading applied to it.
- DON'T USE THE CAMERA IN AUTO MODE. Try exploring with different adjustments, as cameras in Auto mode have a tendency to hunt around for focus too long and will also show a more stark shift in white balance, like when you transition from a shot of the interior to the exterior of the car.
- Maybe invest in a gimbal, or at the very least, a lens with OIS built into it as the video can look really shaky at times. Some kind of video stabilisation is completely necessary especially when filming moving objects; if you still want to leave your camera in auto mode, having it stabilised will help it find focus and adjust exposure easier, so there are less glaring changes in white balance + exposure, and less focus issues.
- I'd invest in a lavalier microphone when in the car, as the built-in mic on GoPro's are horrendous!
- I remember in a video from a long time ago you said you use Sony Vegas as your video editor. Maybe give Adobe Premiere Pro a try as it's MUCH more flexible, though it does have a steeper learning curve. Or if you're willing to use a Mac, try FCPX.
I understand there may be financial setbacks with everything I've said, but a lot of stuff on there can be done at no extra cost!
And JUST TO BE CLEAR, I am not hating on Paul or his videos, it's just a suggestion. He's reached 500k subs, so I'd say now would be a great turning point on the journey to 1M subs.

Gotta say the 488 did sound pretty good. For me I still prefer a naturally aspirated V12 but Ferrari did a good job here.

love your content Paul and have for years but your videos recently are becoming personally for me very amerture dull boring and poorly edited I know in the past you've banged on about how you edit your video for hours but mate recently it just doesn't show for me you made such a good car like the 488 gtb look boring and unprofessional I'm sorry to further say but I think 90% will agree with me we are sick to death or seeing your face so frequently throughout the video, as an automotive channel we come for the cars and to be disappointed by a poorly edited video makes me sad as I've recently been watching seen through glasses videos and comparing his quality of editing in his videos compared to yours it really show for me as a long time viewer sorry for the negativity I don't usually submit feedback like this hope you see it as constructive criticism and not a hater

I don't know why but for me the 488 looks like a cheap car compared to the 458. I know is more powerful and faster than the 458, but I would choose the naturally aspirated 458 instad of this turbo 488

The 675LT is the competitor of the 488GTB, not the 570S, and the closest thing that Porsche has in their line up is the 991.2 Turbo S, so that comparison you talked about is non sense.
Michael id say the 650s instead of the 675, because of the similar price tag and its not a limited edition.
675lt is track version of 650s the serial production Mclaren. So I would say 650s is competitor of the 488 and when 488 speciale comes out that will be competitor to 675.
McLaren's track record suggests when 488 comes out they will very likely come up with a new regular model and also a limited model.
As for the 570S, he probably thinking about tuning the engine upto 700+hp if he ever gets one. He kinda asked a dealer guy if he can do that in another video.
Michael true. The 570s (an entry-level supercar) seems more like the competitor to the California T (another entry-level supercar), than the 488.

In my humble oppinion I think I would take the Huracan Spyder over the 488 coupe, I would take the Huracan coupe over the 488 coupe, I would take 488 spider over the coupe Huracan. And I would probably always take the 488 over the F12, even though I love that car. But if I ever get in such a horrible dilema, I would probably drive them, and seeing all of them side to side could easily change my choice, and the spec too. :)
if you want a turbo ferrari you just buy a mclaren because their the best in the business but if you want a real ferrari you buy a 458 or an f12
