Final Fantasy 9, the story of a decendant from another planet. Growing up and joining a band of unusual folks, to only later realise the truth of his existence and the worlds existence. A journey of discovery and adventure in which every stone unturned presents even more questions than answers. A beautiful experience at the envy of anyone who hasn't felt the touch of this masterpiece. To play these games again for the first time would be a dream come true.
Music has never quite touched me the way it did in the old FF games. The music and feelings are imprinted on my soul. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
@@Fizz-Pop I just saw Nobuo Uematsu play live last night. I was near the front with the perfect view of this legend play music for me that has touched me for 3 decades. I smiled for 3 hours straight as those feelings crystallised.
I love FF9's core theme -- coming to term with your mortality. It's the driving plot. It was the driving plot for the main villain (he denied and later decided to destroy the world if his life was about to be run out), and it was the driving plot for Vivi (who is the most beloved character of this game, and probably one of the most beloved character of the franchise).
Normally I don't leave comments, but I just need to thank you for this amazing piece. There's something so bizarrely beautiful about it.. especially on rainy days. Thanks for reminding me that life can be wonderful again.

This game helped me through my first heart break. It would have been special anyways, but now I'll never forget it. I can even remember where I was in game when I realized that I was going to be okay. I was inside Kuja's palace under the sand.
Nothing has made me want to replay FF9 more than listening to this album! I don't even get as nostalgic when listening to the original! Terra, Burmecia, AND Memoria in the beginning immediately pulled at my heartstrings.Beautifully done T_T

This is so beautiful, FF IX deserves so much love and the way you played this incredible melodies really touched my heart. I started crying with "A song from her memory"
I catch myself wanting to leave this world and join the world of FF. Its a feeling as If I was once part of that world and somehow ended here. The feeling of yearning to go back and nostalgia are strong till the point of PAIN. It hurts, but Im glad I feel this pain because I can “Feel” my homeland.
Cleyra Settlement is one of your tracks where I clearly prefer your version to the original (rather than seeing it as a welcome complement). It's a lot more enchanting and it conveys the fragile peace of the settlement really well. I feel the original used grating sound bites and it always got on my nerves a little. It's amazing how such changes can makes you hear a piece completely differently! Edit: I forgot to say what I actually meant about the album - it's a lovely collection and your style fits FFIX perfectly. I actually listen to this in alternation with the piano collections now and I think it's one of the best fanworks relating to my favourite game, so well done and thanks for sharing with us.
It makes me feel so many emotions. Uematsu and team did a really great work, and you added a very special touch through what I can only imagine must have been a tremendous amount of work. Thank you sir
Thank you so much for making such a masterpiece to human ears... This brings so many memories from my childhood. If only you knew how much I wish I could go back to the first time I played that game... I will always remember. I must have been 10 years old back then, maybe less. I was playing on my first personal console, it was a PS1. I remember I was feeling bored one evening, so I decided to go and tell my dad. He was above all a FFVII fan and had bought FFIX which he never played. He then decided to offer it to me. The game case was like magic to me... It was big and heavy, containing 4 discs which, little did I know, were about to take me on such an unforgettable adventure... Who said being bored hadn't its share of advantages... More than ten years later, I just started it (again), with my younger sister. I will be discovering the game through her eyes, since it is her first time playing it... But the interesting part is that... I never finished the game! I started it all from the very beginning up to disc 4 a few times, but never went beyond. So, this is my chance! Wish us luck!
Amazing work. I always loved how many of the songs from the game had the same progression as melodies of life, then when you beat the game you finally get to hear the real thing and it's just so damn beautiful!
