Dan, a soda farl is usually round, flat and cut into quarters, thon roll looks more like an ordinary roll, certainly not like any soda farl that I've ever seen. The Irish Stew reminds me of my mother's stew, she'd always say: "that'll stick to your ribs." Nothing better on a cold and wet winter's day.
When I saw 'street food' in the title, I thought it was something completely different, like street stalls selling snacks, but the video is really cool and interesting.
Yeah a lot of people think that a bread made with baking soda or bicard constitutes a soda. If its not a soda farl its not a soda in my opinion. Anything else is more wheaten like than farl.
Those baps are generously filled. I would also love to try the stew and and the Ulster patty. Guinness has a bitter flavour that I’m not too keen on…but it would be rude not to drink it in Ireland 😊
That's is just a soup roll or crispy small baguette , you where given with Ur stew and soda , is flat on both sides & a triangle shape , flat on both sides cos it is cook on a griddle. The paste is pink on the inside co it's touch food colouring . Glad you enjoyed .
coming from Asia, Irish food looks extremely bland and overpriced. Also restaurants treat customers like shite like this dude literally eating on street like a beggar 🤣
What a load of bollocks! Irish food is simple but hearty. For centuries we had to make do with a few root vegetables and some tough meat. As for treating people like sh*te…. You’ll not meet nicer people than the Irish, sure didn’t some random woman just come up to him at the end there and ask him for a hand with her phone…with all due respect to where you’re from, I’m not so sure that would have happened in ‘Asia’.
I tried the Ulster fry up here! 👉 ua-cam.com/video/9aCS33kU5cA/v-deo.html
Thats not a belfast bap Thats a flowery bap belfast baps are massive and black on top and fluffy in the middle
Oh you're right, just seen a pic on google, many thanks, I will have to go back to Dublin and rectify 😋
Lad doesn't know a baguette from a Soda 😂
ahah but I've learned now! 😅
Yeap, but as he's not familiar with N.Ireland, we'll forgive his ignorance in not knowing soda's from rolls.
Wow that stew looks delicious... The weather's pretty much exactly like that here today and that's just the perfect comfort food!
Excellent technique and nice turn of phrase. Open minded smart dude - touché.. At the end lady says “You’re and Angel!!”
Thank you!!
Dan Fandelli - The Tech Ninja ❤😂
Actually she said “you are an angel” not a ninja, I had misunderstood 😅
@@DanFandelli oh.. My bad
@@irenefernandes1011nah I also had understood “ninja”, then an Irish guy in the comments clarified 😂
you are an angel lol NINJA hahaha
I challenge anyone who's not from NI to distinguish the 2 words 😂
@@DanFandelli yea mate, we can talk too fast at times.

Farl can be round but not usually and that wasn’t a Belfast bap.

It’s not a Belfast Bap, (nor was that soda bread with the stew) But it looks nice anyway.
John Longs is a belter chippy, I live close by.

Try it with black currant syrup you can ask for it tastes great.
@@chrismartinbain3161 ok that does sound interesting!
Yeah I was actually impressed with that Bap as well! Guinness I suppose it's an acquired taste, for me it just goes down so smoothly 😂
Wow didn't know about this trick, will have to ask for it next time, thx!
@@DanFandelli true I feel like I’m in the minority of people that don’t like it lol but I’ll try black Curran syrup next time
Lol the lady at the end was funny are you any good with phones 📱
Hope you enjoyed your time here mate
I did for sure! This was just Belfast, will have to come back for a tour of the coast, Giant Causeway and so on!
You're an ANGEL!
Maybe I liked the thought of being called Ninja 😂

Those all look so good! I'm happy to see that John Long's is just around the corner from where I'll be staying. I'll be checking it out!
Yep, haven't tried the fish and chips, but I'm pretty sure that pastie is the best in town, I had researched the topic a lot :D
Ur way of speaking is so goood💕💕

Thanks for the explanation Lizz, have a good day 😊
Your welcome , happy and safe travels xx
She said your an angel not a ninja!! 😂😂
😅
"White soda bread"
White bread then, if its not a farl its not a soda. More of a wheaten only with white flour instead of whole wheat
Hope you enjoyed Belfast
Right, thanks for the correction mate, I've surely enjoyed Belfast!
i am from NYC and i love love love your accent
Thank you Diana for appreciating the weird mix between Italian and Scottish accent 😂
Sorry mate not soda bread ,french roll and there is no meat in the Belfast pastie, just potato, onion and seasoning so vegetarian.
Breakfast rolls throughout the island of Ireland

😂
That is 100% not a Belfast bap
That's not a Belfast bap 🙄oh God that stew looks shit tier too. Mate, come back and I'll get ya sorted.
Yeah well, the bap I wanted was the one from “Belfast BapCo” but the Common Market wasn’t open when I was in Belfast 🤷🏻♂️
@@DanFandelli that would have been a mistake anyway.

Spoke to a northern irish street food provider with an idea, he told me to sell crap because they ''don't know anything''
