I'm getting jealous of all the cool finds your picking up! locally all I'm finding is ammo and firearms at yard sales and swap meets, which isn't a bad thing.
"that's a good way to start a fire.... Don't do that". I felt that one, that is absolutely something I would have done. Like checking your watch while holding a cup of coffee. Lol
Relaxed and having fun, nice! If I listed all the things I've done that I would tell everyone not to do, another 70 years might not be enough time. Back on line after some technical difficulties with the cable company and their old equipment is in a box on the front porch. That one year only trx200 {1984} was an interesting prelude to the trx250 which ran for 3 years {85-87}. Still finding plenty of Fourtrax 300's out there and managed to score a nice blue one from the original owner. Again, it's nice to be back and I'll catch up during the week on the rest of your bids, keep smiling.
You my friend are the luckiest person in the world. That thing runs better than my 200s. That's a good find for the price. Hopefully I can get my 200s popping though the carb and idle issues resolved this week. Keep posting the vids👍🏿. Nice work.
A dead CDI is the most common issue i have had on the 200ES/TRX200... I went through 6 of them in a single month fixing some. When you had no spark in the video i said out loud, replace the CDI i bet it works... Yep.. LOL
Hey it's Alan here from down in New Zealand, just like to share a little bit of useless info here, probably not news to you but the recoil unit on these 83 84 85 200es motors were the same as those fitted to the ct200 2 wheeler, (not sure what yrs tho) and also on the Kawasaki klf300 bayou I once had the internals are the same inside the recoil pull start. The plastic spool inside tends to break out as they get older, so this info opens up more chances of finding a good one. Parts here in nz are a bit hard to come by now days. Please keep up the awesome content, love ya work bud.
Graft that together with a 84 big red or 200M, so it has rear suspension. I wanted to do that when I was a kid. We bought trx and 200m for $50 ea. But I didnt know how to weld yet.
Love your channel and have learned such much watching your stuff! I would be very grateful if you made a detailed video on doing a full front brake rebuild on the 1984 Honda TRX200 you just acquired. I bought two of these old 4-wheelers and love them, but can't seem to get the front brakes figured out. I've put in master cylinder rebuild kits, blown out the old fluid, replacing the pads, fully cleaned out the adjuster and cylinders. I've also tried putting on an aftermarket master cylinder with no luck. Tried bleeding them over and over, but the hand brake is still soft even though the wheels have been adjust to the point that they stop spinning when you pull the brakes. So frustrating!
Hi Morey, those can be frustrating, i do like to gravity bleed my brakes, just let them drip a bit if the system has been opened. That said, old spongey hoses can be a problem easily over looked, it sounds like you did all the right steps master cylinder, shoes and wheel cylinders all being changed or at least cleaned i would suspect the hoses.
What's up, MRC, hey, got a question this spring when it warms up. I would like to plan a trip down to Florida. we should meet up and ride, man. I think that would be fun and a good vid, just a thought lol
Hi Martin, could be a bad wire or contact, but could also be a bad starter, i have a video of taling it apart cleaning and putting it back together. You would be amazed how much better they work cleaned
@@mrcbuilds thank tou for your answer sir i really love your videos. no what imeant is that the quad starts just fine and it idles fine but it just doesnt have and power to run it moves very slow and if i give it gas to get more speed it just runs like shit
I just picked up the same one in way rougher shape, that one is mint compared to mine...Lol. How do I bypass the key switch because the key is missing. Thanks in advance guys.
Hey guys, I was feeling a little froggy, as you can tell this is not my normal "how too video". lol enjoy

No sir those are good things to find too. Lol
I appreciate your monologue. 1. it makes me laugh. 2. it's like being in the shop with you.
There is a part of me that always wanted to open for Johnny Carson. Lol
"that's a good way to start a fire.... Don't do that". I felt that one, that is absolutely something I would have done. Like checking your watch while holding a cup of coffee. Lol
Lol, yeah sometime its better to be lucky than good. Thanks for watching.
A great pickup. I see the CR has had some love when are we going to see that? Got me a line on a 1971 Honda CB 175 gold color.
Very soon! parts are coming in now, we have some shop business to take care of too.
Man that thing runs good sounds like a low hour's thumper or a recent rebuild before sitting.
The more she runs the better she sounds. Thanks for watching
Great stuff man. Love to see the old stuff come alive!
Me to, its the past feeling, to bring another one back.

Glad to have ya back! That was definitely a more candid video. Lol
Thanks.@@mrcbuilds
I agree when you took that front cover off all I could see was my 84 big red.
This is the OG Honda atv
That was my first four wheeler had it for years great quad
If I'm not mistaken it was Honda's first 4 wheeler too. lol Thanks for watching!
I turned one of these into a trike by grafting on a KLT front-end. Maybe someday I'll finish it.
✌️😁🍩
Hi Dan, KLT! blasphemy, just kidding, I like a few of them all too.
@mrcbuilds Honestly, when you look at the Kawi front fender it looks a bit....mulvaney.😟

Hey, I have only had a few give me trouble over the years, but this one was a dead for sure.
26:40 atleast the tires are only flat on the bottom!
Ha, we dont need them round on that side. Lol
Ether and a jump box are always a good time 😎
That's a winning combination!
Thats awesome good find..
Thanks Bob, it will make a nice run around machine for sure
Feels great when they pop! 🇨🇦
Yes, it does.
This is identical to a machine have been working on for a couple of years. I just wish my wiring was in the same shape as yours.
Sometimes its better to grab a new harness and start over. They are bulletproof machines.
Well now you’ve persuaded me to get another will it run! Great video brother
Thanks Andy, they are fun

Man that's awesome. I love saving ole Honda's my trouble I have issues selling I want to keep em all
I have that problem too. Lol
Great job!
Thank you, Kix!
This is so funny because I just bought one of these on a auction today
That is funny, another posted said he just got one this week too. lol

Yep that would make a great 3 wheeler.
I just had a atc200 I’m fixing for someone that had a bad cdi, it’s not a common problem but I’ve seen a handful go bad
Agreed not that common.
I've been through so many CDI's on the 200 series, especially the 200ES. They are 40 years old now, capacitors only last so long.
Nice video bro! Looks warm there compared to Michigan lol
It will be 25 degrees in the morning. Thats cold for us. Lol but not -5 burrr.

@@mrcbuilds Thank you so much sir. Really like how informative you are in all your videos. Keep up the great work man.
Harbor freight has tubes for 8 in wheels like 11$
