omg i had those shrink paper sets when i was younger and i baked them in our oven, i didn’t know that they were *supposed* to curl so i took them out when they were in the process of curling because i thought something went wrong 💀
This is so much fun to make. I did these a lot with my kids. Amazing how the shrinking works. We used a Shrink a Dink Machine if I recall correctly. That was a blast. So glad I saw this here 🦋👍🏻
How cute! I've been looking for something to do that'll take my mind off of my anxiety for a bit and i think this might just be it! Im going to sketch some things and when i wake up im gonna make some cute charms!
*When I wanna get anime merchandise like anime keychains and pins and it’s expensive but then I remember that I got all the materials and ima artist so I just make it myself*
Thank you for this!! I didn’t know you could use colored pencils for shrinky dinks. Also a suggestion, I make Uv resin items and if you don’t want bubbles you could spray a little bit of alcohol (from 70% to 90% it doesn’t matter) to remove them or use a little bit of heat too(not too much because it can turn them yellow). Do this before curing them. Hope it helps!
Hi! I’m completely new and just discovered your channel with this video. Going through the comments and seeing how you respond to any questions asked is SO sweet and got me subscribing right away! Not many UA-camrs take the time to do it, so thank you!! ❤️
the temperature would need to be like 400 degrees higher for it to release any toxins, so yes it is safe! i would just try to leave the oven open for a little while for it to air out though
My problem isn't coloring or drawing but shrinking the damn thing!😂 You have to be the flash after baking them so they don't get a weird shape afterwards.😩
I love how you explained everything. It was so informative but also precise and clear. I wish more UA-cam channel videos were like yours. The charms look really pretty too.
Thanks for this video! I've been watching it several times a day for a few days because it's just so cute and cheerful lol. Bought some plastic to try, it just arrived yesterday! So excited to try it out! :D
@@hoosnotes the first time i made one, i was soooo excited to watch the magic happen! And then I realized my oven was too dirty. 😱 Thanks for keeping your oven clean? 😂
i used to make these in kindergarten with the shrinky dink kit thing, it was so fun. i’m glad to know people are still doing this! :D this video inspired me, maybe i’ll make some again this week!
After watching I immediately went to amazon and bought a kit! So far it’s coming out good, I just haven’t been drawing them big enough. And the kit I got was only $18! I loved the video btw! 🥰🥰
Liliana Velasco Yes!! I bought the TUPARKA shrinky dink set which was less than $14 on amazon! Once you use up all the plastic you can use the product hoo was using this vid as a refill!! 💜💜 I recommend using crayola products since I’ve gotten good results from it.
This is so cute!!! My friend did this in high school with our salad containers and I was like ??? but now I’m like omg why didn’t I do it at the same time like her! Can’t wait to get my supplies in the mail :)
Thank you for this video! I got into making these charms but I was looking for a tutorial to make them look more professional looking! Yours look so adorable! 💜
This is by far the best video tutorial for shrinkydink, i have seen. Your arts are so adorably cute. I will try to attempt to make them someday.😊. Thanks for the vid.
This was a fantastic tutorial and the charms turned out so pretty! Also it blew my mind when you set the uv resin in the sun because I only ever see people use a uv light 🤯
Great video! You are an amazing artist!!! Everything looks so perfect! I love your attention to details. Would it be possible to replace the resin with something easier to use... Like clear nail polish and than spray another layer of mod podge to seal it? Resin is soooo scary and takes a lot of room to store everting separated, it's so hard to keep up with measurements... OMG a lot could go wrong...
ah. nail polish should work but it may turn yellow over time! mod podge works really well though, but i just liked how resin makes everything look super shiny hahaha
If ur asking what type of plastic u need for this if u cant afford or find a kit! Then the plastic type u need is number 6 cause the others have a risk to burn, some sushi plastic opening is number 6 btw :)
There’s an alternative :D You could use clear plastic packaging that they package sushi/etc with. It must say the number *6* though if not it won’t work ❤️
dont worry!! You could do the same thing, except of the color pencils you could use a sharpy, and for the plastic you can find a piece plastic that has “♻️” with a number 6 in the middle
at 3:05 it should be 329°F (165°C)! so sorry about the typo!
I need that totorooooo
Pull up to your oven at 625 degrees F basically welding in your kitchen
can i bake them all together in one tray? like i'll not bake them one at a time. ?
Isit ok to use the oven to bake food after you bake the plastic ?
@@rose.1369 yes, but since u have to press them down to make them flat FAST its easier to do it one by one

If when you use coloring pencils to draw on the plastic but it's barley visible, try scratching the paper with sandpaper so its easier to color on.
Does any color pencils brand work?
