I went to see this movie at a dollar theater with my oldest brother and I loved it, my favorite character was Insaniac and Archer. Also hearing Tommy Lee Jones as Chip Hazard was freaking awesome because at the time I watched Men in Black on VHS.
They are just inverting right and wrong, blurring the lines between true and false, bad and good, where a demon will be good and a human will be bad. Super satanic programming of the mind with the constant dehumanization/ or demonization of people in general.

They almost went with Arnold Schwarzenegger as The voice of Major Chip Hazard and the entire cast of PREDATOR as The Commando Elites and The Gorgonites The reason why they didn't cast Arnold is because he dropped out in favor of playing MR FREEZE in BATMAN AND ROBIN Minty you should have included that piece of trivia in 10 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT SMALL SOLDIERS
One thing you forgot to mention about the soundtrack: the classic rock songs on the soundtrack? They were modern reworkings of those songs. Bone Thugs & Harmony and Henry Rollins actually teamed up with the original song “War”, Edwin Starr. “Another One Bites The Dust” was remixed and performed by Wyclef Jean, Pras & the Refugee All-Stars along with the original Queen vocals. Finally, “Love Is A Battlefield” was a modern remix with Pat Benatar singing and Queen Latifah providing rap vocals. The soundtrack also had other remixes of other classic rock tracks alongside the originals. Hope that fact helped.
The movie Small soldiers was bleeping awesome. Of course I was an adult when I saw it but I thought the concept was fantastic because my imagination as a child was right down those lines. This really took me back. Thanks Minty keep up the great work brother

I remember I was 8yrs seeing the movie advertising on cable TV and I begged my dad to rent it on VHS. He actually got it and it blew me away. Then later on I saw it in Woolworth as a puzzle,with Chip fighting one of the aliens and I begged my mom to get it for me and she did. Thanks for bringing back good memories Minty.
Here's a couple of tidbits for you Minty. In the Small Soldiers toy line, there was a Ground Assault Vehicle for Chip Hazard that was actually a recoloured Action Man Moon Rover. For the Buzzsaw Tank, Kenner used a lot of parts from the GI Joe Extreme Thunderin' Fury tank.

I loved this movie a lot when it first came out! My Dad took my brother and I to see it in the theaters when it came out! I never knew that the G.I.Joe toys were an influence on the Commando Elite at the time but the fact that they looked like G.I.Joe toys was what appealed to me to wanna see this movie when it first came out because I love both G.I.Joe toys, which I am currently collecting! And I also really Love the G.I.Joe cartoon series from the 80s as well as the 2nd G.I.Joe series from the early 90s as well!

I was 10 when this movie came out, and I loved it. I also remember having the Archer BK toy, he was my favourite. I kinda wish they used more puppets, but I can understand why they didn't. I miss practical effects.
This is a very underrated movie. It's Gremlin and Toy Story combined that makes it so unique and interesting. I had a lot of fun with this movie. I would love a sequel maybe a rated R since majority of the fans are adults now just as long as they Do It Right: No producer / politician / sponsors meddling that usually destroy our current sequels these days (like Star Wars & MCU). I'm talking a full creative control by one good director with a great script to work on & no-restriction Rated R that would make the film more realistic & full of surprises.

I never actually thought a gun was missing from the photo, I just thought it was a sort of take on those ‘Your country needs you’ posters with the finger pointing. Great video as always Minty. Small Soldiers is one of those films I forget about but whenever I’m flicking through the TV and see it’s on, I always watch it.
I loved this movie as a kid when it came out. Remember seeing it the the theater and playing the ps1 game alot. Still have it on VHS. Even used to have a shirt of chip that would talk/ play his voice.

I was 10 when this movie came out, and I loved it. I also remember having the Archer BK toy, he was my favourite. I kinda wish they used more puppets, but I can understand why they didn't. I miss practical effects.
This is a very underrated movie. It's Gremlin and Toy Story combined that makes it so unique and interesting. I had a lot of fun with this movie.
I would love a sequel maybe a rated R since majority of the fans are adults now just as long as they Do It Right:
No producer / politician / sponsors meddling that usually destroy our current sequels these days (like Star Wars & MCU).
I'm talking a full creative control by one good director with a great script to work on & no-restriction Rated R that would make the film more realistic & full of surprises.

Smallsoldiers is hands down one of the best. Definitely a movie u could rewind a couple times in one day.
Back in the day me and my mates were watching this on DVD. We were all high on something, can't remember what, but half way through at a quiet moment, one of them pipes up "Is this a true story?"
