For oil change just front ramps. I have two Rhinos and 2 Harbor freights. HFs goes in the back and Rhinos on front. Same height for both.
Hey man, good video. Is it possible to change the oil without jacking up the truck? I have jack stands, but I dont think there is a jack point that I can use to lift the entire front of the truck vs doing each front corner seperately
You could probably get it done but it would be extremely tight I wouldn't recommend it. You could go pick up some of those rhino ramps that you see in my video and make it simple
There is a kind of "dimple" in the center of the front skid plate that is reinforced and designed as a single lift point for the front of the vehicle. It's the only hole where the surrounding metal extends downward maybe 1/4-1/2". Raise the front of the vehicle using this point, place your jack stands at the frame rails, then remove the jack so you can remove the skid plate for access to the oil filter housing. For the rear, use the bottom of the rear diff for this purpose.
Thanks for the video. Questions: There were 2 O-rings (one large and one small) and a clear plastic piece. Where does the small O-ring go and what's the clear plastic piece for?
Great video ! I have a new 2023 gx, I change the oil on my older Toyotas with canister oil filters and I need to see the method for the new style filters.

Also, my WIX oil filter didn’t come with a crush washer, so if someone else is doing this, they need to put a new crush washer on the oil pan bolt. Spec says 30 ft/lb.
The small o-ring is for the bolt to drain the filter housing if you choose to do so, prior to removing the filter housing. It's not required, but it does simplify things a bit by draining most of the oil out of the oil filter housing prior to removal. The small o-ring replaces the one you'll find on the filter housing drain bolt.
