You can actually go to Toyota and get all the parts for your Lexus at a very cheaper price at the Toyota price they are all interchangeable I have a GX four 62,019 and I always get my oil changes and everything done at the Toyota dealership
Thanks. I don't have videos of the transfer case fluid, it is exactly the same process as the diffs though. Transmission fluid I had changed by the dealership, since apparently there is a specific procedure at a certain temperature.
I know the manual calls for using 75W-80 for the differential oil. Has the car driven any differently given that you used 75W-90. Did you wish you had used 75W-85 or have you not noticed any difference?
I change the diff fluids every 30,000 miles. It's easy and cheap to do. Not everyone does it this often though, so you will get a lot of differing opinions
Very simple and honest tutorial thanks I'll get er done
Good simple video. Thank you. I appreciate the effort. I’m a proud GX460 myself.
Great vid. Thanks for posting.
Thanks 👍

Yep, I'd say for the average person this is good advice. A buddy of mine for over 20 years gets me employee price on parts at Lexus :)
Any chance you did the transfer case/ transmission? Cheers man :) I appreciate your videos!

@@PlatoonGarage okay gotcha, I'll probably end up having dealer do the trans too then. Cheers

Haven't noticed a difference at all, would still recommend using the more available weight fluids
How many miles to change front differential? I had 2014 never tow or off road. Thanks

Hey is there a part number for the crush washer for the oil screw
Which oil screw? Diff? engine oil?
Oil screw
Assuming you mean engine oil and not diff oil. 90430-12031
Yes sorry engine oil
That 10mm insert is such a terrible design. Whoever put the drain bolt in mine last overtorqued it because it’s starting to bend the Allen key..
