Great video Cal, just two things I think you may have missed or gotten wrong. One, my flashers do impart some action on the worm or lure. I use large flashers and when I get it to the correct speed I can see my rod tip pulse about every second. They call this the pulse of the rod, i call it stop/start action. The lure is darting fast and slow. Two, the second thing you missed, and most flasher manufacturers have also missed, is glass beads when used in flashers, when placed against each other, cause a high pitched noise which I believe attract fish. Remember Captain Bligh in the movie Mutiny on the Bounty? He always held two steel ball bearings and rubbed them together. Or perhaps fingers on a chalk board. Its all the same, glass rubbing against glass, under pressure gives off a high pitched sound that drive fish crazy. Add that to the flash and bammo, fish on!

Thanks for the video! Gotta ask though, where’d you find that sweater? I’d love to snag one.

I have that same dodger in 4 and 6”..my go-to as well. Question, I have been running mag lips without dodgers in Shasta. Would it make sense to run my 6” 24” in front of it to really attract fish from afar or is that going to spook them? I have probably 20 sets of flashers and never seem to use them since I started using hot wings. What exactly does the red Lexan piece at the end do?
