    Very good advice. I would also add the use of non-ethanol fuel. The only gas additives I use is Marvel Mystery oil in cutting season and some form of fuel stabilizer in the off season. In over 30 years I've never had a mechanical issue with a motor or had one fail to start when it was time to cut regardless of down time.

    Thanks alot sir. First time changing oil on my new scag. Great guide. And thanks for the extra tips. I've always wondered how y'all's generation could make equipment run for so long.

    I love your channel. Thinking about a Scag Freedom Z. If I do, it would be my first zero turn. As a homeowner this would be a major expense. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Dale, Laura bought her Liberty Z and it’s a great residential mower. My Vride2’s have been good mower’s commercially. We are phasing them out and running all Walker mowers now. I will be selling off the Scags shortly.

    how is this mower holding up? im thinking abt a 36 for my business.....i feel it could handle 15 or so yards a week.

    • @EdenLawnServices
      @EdenLawnServices  6 місяців тому

      We sold this mower at 150 hours. But if 15 lawns is all you mowed, I would think it could handle it.

    Do you ever have issues with deck not being level and creating uneven stripes? I’ve had several issues with mine and the dealer added a new bolt to help. Still having issues every couple months though.

    When should I know I need new blades? My mower seems to be leaving too much thatch... I cut better in the beginning. Do you change the blades from the top or bottom?

    • @EdenLawnServices
      @EdenLawnServices  2 роки тому

      The Liberty Z 36” has a bolt that you access from under the deck to remove blades. Always try to keep them sharp and that will help with clippings and cut quality. Unless a blade gets damaged, you do not need to replace it. Just sharpen it.

    I bought a new 48” SCAG Liberty Z recently and really like it so far, I have 18.8 hours on it and it says it’s time to change the oil. Where is the best place to buy the oil/filter and what kind? Thanks for the video.

    • @EdenLawnServices

      Billie, I purchase all my maintenance supplies from my equipment dealer. I support him and he takes care of us!!! Check your owners manual for what the manufacturer suggest for oil and filter.

    • @EdenLawnServices
      @EdenLawnServices  2 роки тому +1

      @@billierenfro705 I would not worry about a few extra hours. I mean we never change oil in our cars exactly at 3k or 5K. I seem to be over a couple hundred miles each time. Just check the level and if it is at proper level, go for it.

    • @billierenfro705
      @billierenfro705 2 роки тому +1

      @@EdenLawnServices That’s what I was thinking/hoping. I checked the level as soon as the oil change came on and the level is fine, so I’m going to go ahead and use it, thanks again.

    I don't understand, what was done to the tires.

    • @EdenLawnServices

      Tire sealant was installed so if a penetration happened, it would not go flat.

    Im looking at one of these for my first zero turn. I currently have a 42” tractor and I found a liberty in the 36. Do you feel limited with the 36?

    • @EdenLawnServices
      @EdenLawnServices  2 роки тому

      Not at all but we use it for smaller yards. We have a Vride2 52” for bigger stuff. The Liberty Z is not the fastest mower for sure. The 36” Vride2 runs circles around it.

    • @bradstroke
      @bradstroke 2 роки тому +1

      @@EdenLawnServices I have a small neighborhood yard in between a 1/4 an 1/2 acre. Just scared to give up the 3 inches on either sides. Just seems on the liberty you can’t do a close cut to flowerbeds lined with landscaping stones. Sorry, to take up your time I am just picking the brain of someone who owns one. Thank you

    • @EdenLawnServices
