THAT MAY TAKE SOME OF THE BOUNCE OUT BUT I THINK THE REAR TIRES ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM ALSO. THIS IS A FANTASTIC MOWER EXCEPT FOR THE BEACH BALL BOUNCE TO IT. I GO SLOW TOO. I HAVE A BAD BACK . I ALSO HAVE A FAIRLY FLAT SMALL YARD. WATCH HIS OTHER VIDEO OF HIM CUTTING GRASS WITH IT AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE BOUNCING. IT'S ROUGH.
I was ready to pull the trigger today at the dealer for a liberty z 36”. The dealer seemed like he was trying to talk me out of it because he said the traction was terrible and under powered? Ironically, he didn’t have any 36s in stock but did have the “better in his opinion” Liberty 48s in stock. I’m basically mowing my flat yard with some incline but nothing major. Your videos show no signs of traction problems. Have you notice any in your experience with the 36”. If not, I’m going back tomorrow to have him order one. Thanks for your help.... just subscribe!👍🏻
Derek Powell if you are mowing flat land no problem I feel that there is plenty of power. if you try to take it side ways on a hill it will not hold that well. the 48 maybe better for that kind of situation. ask supereme lawn services his thought on the 48 he has one.
I put arm rest on my 36. Good mower. The only problem I have had with my 36 is the narrow tires in the rear dont hold hills or wet terrain well. Other than that best investment ever.
Don’t hold hills at all? I’m looking at getting one of these for this season because of its great price point and most of my yards are relatively flat. Just a few with hills.
good video bud, im pretty much set on buying this mower. been mowing my .65 acre property for 9yrs with my 21" husq and its gotten tired. got a question. can this thing tow? thanks
Thanks for putting this review up ... I think next year I would like to buy a zero turn for my bit over 1/2 acre yard. I think the Liberty 36 (wish they would made a 42" Liberty) is on my list. The thing that really concerns me is the rough ride of the Liberty that you mentioned. Wonder if Scag offers an optional high quality suspension seat for this?? I am getting a bit older and comfort is super important. The yard I have grows thick and tall. So a powerful Kawasaki engine is important too. I will be checking next year to see if Scag improves the Liberty to meet what I am looking for.
I bought a scab liberty 2 weeks ago. My son and I are some big ole boys. I need to adjust the handles further forward than the adjustment slot allows. It’s hard to pull levers backwards. Any help would be appreciated
I bought a set of run-flat tires for my Toro at a place called Northern Tools not sure if you have one of those by you but I paid 65 bucks rim and tire that was for both front tires and those things can run 100 piece
Great review. I’m looking to buy this mower next year. Do u think I would be able to switch out the front tires and add a no flat/ run flat tire to soften the bumps?
The frames (36”, 48”, 52”) are the same just the decks, ends., and tires are larger, right? Looking to get a 36” to do a few yards this summer plus my own with a 42” gate. Thanks for the great vids!
Any trouble getting the grass clippings off of the hydo fans like Supreme Service has? I would think a good strong blower would take care of the problem. But, maybe not! Enjoy your videos a lot. Also follow Supreme Services too. You guys put out great information! Thanks
Great review! I was wondering , in another video you have I noticed you had a checkmate striper. I've been considering getting one for my John Deere rider and was wondering if you still have it and use it? Also, in your opinion does it stripe well enough to justify the cost? Thanks for any feedback!
Chad Walker I have it but don't use it. I would see if john Deere makes a kit for it before you buy that one. also check out xforceguy channel he was running one on a john Deere mower.
Nice mower man how has it hold up we use encore 34 and have been extremely reliable but today I went to my dealer and they have the scag liberty on sale for$3499.00 with a Kawasaki fr600 I might get it but want to make sure first if it's as reliable as my encores we have alot of small gates here in Miami so we need 34 and 36.
I agree.. Maybe let a bit of air out of the tires.. Should smooth the ride.. A smooth ride is important to me too since I have a bumpy yard.. Be nice if Scag offered a suspension seat option for this mower.
Thanks for the quick reply Dennis! I'm struggling with my back yards when my zero turn dosen't fit. Having to use a residential 21 self propelled snapper. It's just taking too much time. Looking to purchase a good mower at a decent price. Love the videos man, good luck through out the season.
You say the machine is a breeze, regarding maintenance, the Kawasaki negates easy maintenance issue, let's not forget the valve check/adjustment, every 500 hours, there's more to it than just adjusting the valve lash,(unless they've rethought their valve lash procedure). That's why I don't use Kawasaki engines.
Your comment made me smile. Five hundred hours, how about 30 years? I bought a John Deere mower in 1992 with a Kawasaki engine. Last year I was watching a small engine video where the host was explaining how important it was to check valve clearance. I'd never had the valve cover off my Kawasaki in 30 years. So, I looked up the spec., got out my feeler gauge and found valve lash was perfect. Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a Liberty Z and I want the Kawasaki engine.
Do yo get any type of rattle noise when you have engaged your blades? I get a decent rattle noise that seems like from the auto tightener so not sure if normal or not.
You are smart, That mower for backyards is like a push mower but more efficient and faster, good buy, stay safe
Just bought one yesterday cut 10 yards in 2 hours and 45 mins bad ass mower. Strong motor
Had mine for about 2 months and love it.
I'm 6'3 and have no problem. I love this deck.
I have the 61" with the 26hp Kohler. Love my SCAG!
Got same mower i agree with the front tires I'm goin change mine to hard tires on front

How are you liking this thing two years later?
I put arm rest on my 36. Good mower. The only problem I have had with my 36 is the narrow tires in the rear dont hold hills or wet terrain well. Other than that best investment ever.
where did you get the arm rests, the factory seat is terrible.
Don’t hold hills at all? I’m looking at getting one of these for this season because of its great price point and most of my yards are relatively flat. Just a few with hills.

I am a commercial guy, i do alot of small yards but i use it alot. Do you think the engine and its all round make up will hold up long term?
You can add taller control sticks. I'm 6ft 4in. Nice mower!
I bought a scab liberty 2 weeks ago. My son and I are some big ole boys. I need to adjust the handles further forward than the adjustment slot allows. It’s hard to pull levers backwards. Any help would be appreciated
Great Video I am looking on getting one of these used with 250 hours do you think thats a good hours to be buy? does it hold up well?

i am not sure, i think they sell flat free tires for this mower
Thanks bro

i do believe so on that, you will love that mower and thanks for watching
Scag needs to change up their advertising “We might not be cheap but unlike Deere we don’t fire all our good engineers after one bad quarter”
How's the Liberty holding up. How many hours?
I was wondering, do you still own the scag liberty z 36? If so, has it been a solid, reliable machine? Thanks for any feedback !
Any trouble getting the grass clippings off of the hydo fans like Supreme Service has?
I would think a good strong blower would take care of the problem.
But, maybe not!
Enjoy your videos a lot.

jwslks I use a blower and when I was the mower I just spray out that area
1/4-1/2 acre lot here. They are introducing 42” this year. Would you go with the 36 or step up to a 42?

I want to get the 52 for my 2 acre yard.... looking for something that will last years...
Man they engineered that thing for a simple oil change for sure.
Greenpea such a great design on this machine.
Very nice review, Thank You!
so, it has been 6 years what you have to say now abt the mower. thinking abt getting one
How many hours now?
305 on the hour meter as of today
I'm considering buying this mower. Only doing about 25 lawns..do you think it would hold up as a main mower?
Danny Mango I would buy a commercial mower for that many yards. The hours add up quick
wow your battery in a totally different place...wonder if tbe bigger sizes have it in same spot
Supreme Services Lawn Care not sure but it would be easy to change. best thing about this mower everything is so easy to work on.
I noticed you were in Wichita. Did you buy in Benton? Do you know how much the 48s were?
yes I did not sure are the price on those but they are a great dealer and cant go wrong buying a mower there
What psi do you run in the tires? I've got the 48" and wanted to check with you. Thanks!
Seems nice

ARE THE CASTER AND SPINDLES SEALED OR GEASEABLE BEARINGS ?
Pretty sure gteasable
Can you tell us the name of dealer please thanks boss man
hows the traction?
How is this holding up??
What tire pressure do you maintain in your Liberty Z 36?
8 lbs. in the rear 👍
Does scag offer flat free tires? I would think the air tires would offer a smoother ride. Guess not.
I agree.. Maybe let a bit of air out of the tires.. Should smooth the ride.. A smooth ride is important to me too since I have a bumpy yard.. Be nice if Scag offered a suspension seat option for this mower.
Is that a commercial mower?
nope but it is still running and cutting like a champ for small backyards
Thanks for the quick reply Dennis! I'm struggling with my back yards when my zero turn dosen't fit. Having to use a residential 21 self propelled snapper. It's just taking too much time. Looking to purchase a good mower at a decent price. Love the videos man, good luck through out the season.
Drop your tyre pressures for a better ride

Did he say light. Its 250 kilos.
Wow they want to charge me $5100 for this mower. I guess the prices went up in 5 years. Ugh 😩
its 6100 now in Jan 2023

I'm thinking about buying this mower just waiting for the money to fall into my bank account lol
Caleb Geddens do you mow commercially or just for the house?
I was just wondering if they make a chute blocker for that
William Richards yes it has a mulching kit that you can purchase
Too much talk, show me the mower in action.
I have one and it's nice
