The way owlbear screams "FRIEEEND!" reminds me of "Us", "FRIEEEEEND!!!! YOU FOUND THE HELM!!"
What happened to “Us” I wonder. Did they die after the absolute died or did we lose the ability to communicate with them? I head canon they still live with my Tav in the underdark with Astarion and the vampire spawn. A intellect devourer in the Underdark is pretty much a natural home for them.

@@theredeft5319 i think later in the game you can find Us trapped in a cage somewhere and have the option to release them, i could be wrong though
seems like theyre talking about post-game or epilogue
Whenever I summon Us and I'm playing with a friend I always say stuff like "Maybe the Helm was the friends we made along the way" "I came here to get to the Helm and kick ass, and I can't find the Helm."
I insist upon the fact that my Tav did indeed adopt Scratch and the Cub.
I don't need no man, just give me my pets and be gone.

Especially since if you romance Shadowheart, in the epilogue it says you have a lot of pets.
Why not these two as well?

@@EchoesofLoreYeah, not sure why they gave Scratch to some person in the City when Tav, Halsin or Shadowheart could’ve taken him in.

The nice lady and I did end up adopting the cub. He now snuggles with us at night

Based on my good guy ending... Scratch and OB couldn't really come with me, best they don't come to hell with me haha. Didn't recruit them in my durge run, since it was full durge, and not resist-durge, and I was afraid I would end up killing them lol.
you can adopt owl bear if you romance halsin too and stay with him
I was a little sad my Tav hadn’t taken him with her, but then again I was living with Astartion and a bunch of ravenous vampire spawn in the underdark so probably not the best place for him or a dog for that matter. I had him go live with Halsin. He’ll probably have a better life on the surface.
In my playthrough, I romanced Shadowheart and saved her parents. In the end, we lived in a farm with lots of adopted animals, and we ended up adopting the owlbear :)

Owlbert is one of my favorites. Or Beaky, to match Scratch’s name, and honor Karlach.
I wish we could name them, I've been calling the sweet babbo "Bite".
I call him maul so my 2 favorite camp friends have a theme
I saw someone on a related video elect to name him Munch on account of his love of biting.

I love the epilogue, but I do not like the thought that we just seem to have and left Owlbear and Scratch to fend for themselves. In my heart, they still with us and we ride Owlbear into battle
I read in the patch notes that after this you can actually throw the Astral Prism for Scratch from your inventory lmao
The Emperor be like :"the hell is going on out there?"
You have to pick it from the ground, then throw it from your inventory. Scratch doesn't actually fetch it tho. :')

I haven't played since launch (before the epilogue), is there no choice to keep scratch?
@@natecar1I think Scratch only has this one ending for him if you keep him until the epilogue
If anything happened to Us, Scratch or the owlbear, even Bhaal would have to look away in horror from the slaughter

i romanced karlach (n went to hell with her) and Halsin, and I got the owlbear to live with Halsin and I... I like to think my (resisted) Durge lives in the overworld during half the year to be with Halsin and the animal friends hehe
I think I poisoned the Goblin Camp before the first Long Rest. Have I screwed myself out of the Owlbear Cub?

Can you still adopt the owlbear cub even if you killed the Owlbear?
The only way to get the owlbear cub is to kill the mother owlbear
@@xpandorasboxx This is false, even if you don't kill her the cub will still be taken to the Goblin camp.

and US no in epilogue?
I think US dies when the Netherbrain dies. Technically, US came from the same brood as the other Illithids in the game.
