Could you do a video of that one scene in the blood of Arlathan mission, where Elgar'nan tries to manipulate Rook to join his side, with each different fraction? Played the first time as Antivan crow Rook, I'm curious what Elgar'nan says to the Rooks of the other fractions.

After finishing Lucanis’ romance I had to go straight back into DA2 and Fenris to experience proper pining and slow-burn. Excellent comparison with Anders as well; it felt like the stakes were much higher..not to mention maxed out rivalry resulted in sth I didn’t expect. We had real incentive here to max out the relationships one way or the other, whereas in Veilguard it doesn’t matter at all.

Dont get me wrong. They're both good in their own ways, but nothing can top the betrayal of Anders because of justice. I love veilguard for what it is, but its definitely not the same as the rest of the series of which has always had me encapsulated. I missed the passion you had with companions. Every first romance scene was passionate, but in veilguard every first romance scene stops before a kiss could happen. I feel like they have a lot more they can do with veilguard and its not in the best spot to just move on

I’m glad this video has been done and it has been done well. This comparison just shows how poorly executed the Lucanis romance is. Great idea, horrible execution. Spite is not a demon, he’s a joke. Lucanis and Rook have nothing in common unless they’re both Crows, and even then it’s lukewarm. His romance with Neve through party banter is better.

Just finished romancing Davrin on my first playthrough and idk who to romance next.

I wish they gave the option to see Har in their true form, so our Tav could choose that. If you take the deal, in the closing party there is a letter from Har to Tav that’s delightful. So much of the conflicts in the characters revolve around control. Har is locked into the forms that Rafael prefers. What would the scene be like if Har could be themselves? I get they are an incubus, so they aren’t benign but this game excels at allowing a more nuanced approach to character design. Har is one of my fav npcs, I wish they had more content.

I hate when games tell and don't show. Rather than Rook just telling us about their background, I wish it could have been like Origins where we experienced it ourselves. Six unique openings. Six unique ways to feel more connected to your origin, rather than having your character bring it up at awkward times.

Zeveran: I’ve got a warden for him, but it’s not complete yet. Fenris: I’ve completed a few Champions with him as a romance. I love the humour response the best. Fenris will always be one of my favourite characters to romance. Solas: I have three elven Inquisitors for him. None of them are complete but I’ll get there eventually. Solas… my heart. He takes first place in my list of Dragon Age romances. Davrin: I think I have a Rook for him. Assan is so cute. I can’t wait for him to grow up so we can take rides all over Thedas.

I think its neat that losing Treviso costs you a romance with Lucanis because it reminds us that…Neve and Lucanis are *very* different people: Neve is more rational, and grounded as to why things played based on your decision. In her worst case scenario-her romance depends on you proving you really do care about her home through your actions. Lucanis however, is very sentimental. He’s been imprisoned, finally brought home, that home came under seige, this family minded man rushes there, and after pleading for *your* help, he turns around to see…that you weren’t there. Both understand the severity of the situation and why your decision was made however you made it…but that doesn’t mean they see you the same way afterwards. Just because one is willing to forgive you doesn’t mean the other wants to.

Wow!! That was like a punch in the gut! I'm only on my second playthrough and I'm dreading having to abandon Treviso (Gotta get all those achievements even if it hurts) but something about playing as a Crow too? Like all I can imagine now is a playthrough that is just Rook being the fuck up Crow desperately seeking redemption at every chance and always falling short somehow or making things worse.... that's painful!

i just ran through him after a year of completing the game and i was dissapointed by this scene when he stood up to talk.That quote when he ses "let my bones rise,and the storms gather,the end has come or something like that.Line was delivered much better previously.Also they screwed up the music it doesnt even sinc with whats going on,like how can he talk,have music playing in the background,have his power charging up effects and roar all at the same time ? it was THE best scene in the game and they ruined it.

Where is all of this dialogue?! Im on my first run, romancing him, but i havent come across half of these and im in act 3 😢

I saved minrathos on the first run, and treviso on the second. I would say saving treviso felt more developed. And seeing the aftermath in minrathos was more harrowing.

Strife really said "imma keep ya boi all nigh..." and I'm sure cheeks were clapped...

Definitely wish we had more bad ass entrances in the game for some boss fights but this was still sick. Wish we got a little more lore/information on the kind of enchantments or poison they used in order to fight against the blighted dragons

I like The Crow’s response on being late to the fight better than The Shadow Dragons in my opinion. It had a bit more flair. But I would be lying if I didn’t say that The Shadow Dragons’s response was a good one too. They didn’t want to show up without bringing gifts.

I started my game with the intent on romancing Lucanis. But when I had to choose between the Crows and the Shadow Dragons, I hardened him. Then I chose to romance Davrin. I admit. I got a little jealous listening to these banters along the way. 😅

I think laezel is spot on here. (spoilers) doing my first run and just got to the south side of baldurs gate, and I already am hating the inhabitants 😂 even though im on a righteous character playthrough, its getting difficult to want to protect them lol

I don't know if you'll ever see this, but how in the WORLD did you get this dialogue? I really, really, want to play it for myself.
