Life begins again... constantly renewed!! this is universally--always--true! but those of us who are immunofunky/part of the viral underclass are STILL under siege. the pandemic isn't over bc some critical mass who fancies themselves "healthy" is over it. I know every day they could turn me into a vegetable. Friends (who nowadays thanks to eugenics are almost all themselves disabled or immunoflunky or caretaking someone who is) could die any minute. I'm only 37. And no--as much as I trust the universe, in the knowledge that ultimately this life and this planet isn't ABOUT us--i fundamentally disagree and find your pseudo-platitude here HOLLOW and problematic AF! everything WILL NOT be ok. until our (white) culture fails to learn how to respect LIFE. Of people with darker skintones and/or "weaker" immune systems who have SO MUCH life to give. Of Native folks of Turtle Island--and people of the global majority--who'll have to suffer the brunt of climate change and overconsumption without ever even fully consuming/enjoying its "fruits." Of all our other nonhuman kin. F^c$ "normal." What happened to the Great White Awakening of 2020? Of "flatten the curve" and "remember the vulnerable?" Of that EPHEMERAL moment wildlife started to return to certain urban centers and global air pollution DROPPED for the first time in a century or so??? THAT is what I want back: for folks to remember that things are NOT going to be ok... unless we remember we are ALL ONE. I met him in Tokio in May, just a day before his concert there, in the ZOO by pandas:) with his little son. What a gentleman talking to me , even a photo together, and also mentioning Ondrej Pivec (Hammond`s organ), as I am Czech as Ondřej is. What a day. thankypouthankyouthankyou

You experience this because you are probably a jazz connoisseur. And you know jazz has a rhythm beat that keeps the timing. He does really great with orchestras but that original jazz timing beat has been sanitized. Its hard to explain it but I have said the same thing about the new jazz players who play with him. But where are the new jazz players if not trained by an orchestra. ❤ If not for Gregory Porter the genre would have lost more. God Bless him
