Listening to this brother makes me appreciate my lower registry spent all my life I wishing for a higher one , I'm so thankful now that I'm older. He gives that Bill Withers vibe.
Saw him a few years back in Michigan and he totally transformed the space on a spiritual level. Even in the lobby afterwards folks found it hard to leave. I talked to so many people I was meeting for the first time because we were still milling around sharing the transformed spiritual atmosphere. Even on the sidewalk outside, after I left I was still talking to people.
My nephews, ages 1 and 3,stops playing/crying solid whenever Gregory Porter’s singing starts...so of course they already know his voice is the great ,soothing balm (we) all need🎶💕

What a unique voice. Sounded the same as he does on his albums live and better cos you were actually there.

First Gregory Porter song I ever heard. Couldn't believe that someone in this modern day could write a song so amazingly beautiful, meaningful, and artistic, sounds like an all time classic. I believe Mr. Porter himself wrote the song but if this is a remake (as it would almost seem to be) then someone please let me know because this song seems almost too good for our modern day, an inspiration either way.
I wish he would come in this area of DMV. I love the minimum of musicians, like it used to be! Lyrics that mean something, makes you think beyond what you may be going through and puts your thoughts on the back burner! Sax musician ain't bad either.
