I’m just starting to get into mtg, borrowed a vampire deck in commander and know I had to get my own. Thank you so much for reviewing this so I know what I am getting!
I was in my local TCG store and couldn't decide which Commander Deck to buy. There were 8 different ones. I looked twice at this deck, but couldn't decide at all. Let me know if it's worth getting - I just want to play for fun. Not even competitive
@MTG Unpacked. Thanks again for the advice. I'm going for a Commander Deck. Though I'm brand new to MTG. I can't decide between the below decks: •Vampire deck - Vampiric Bloodline •Cat deck - Carbareti Cacaphony •Midnight hunt deck - Coven Counters Which of these decks would be great to upgrade with boosters in the future. I'm more into playing just for fun, not even competitive. Thank you again dude happy to sub!
I'd pick whichever deck looks most appealing, as far as what the deck is trying to do. With Commander you'd be looking to replace cards to improve upon the deck's strategy and replace weaker cards (for instance, replacing taplands with dual lands or shocklands). You're always better off buying the cards you need to upgrade the deck rather than cracking packs and hoping to pull what you need. Worst case, if you eventually get bored, these decks usually contain a bunch of Commander staples you can use in other decks (Sol Ring, Command Tower, Arcane Signet, etc).
@@MTGUnpacked thank you for the advice once again dude. 🙏 appreciate it. It's Nail biting for me to choose 1 of the 3 decks, it will be my 1st ever MTG deck. Thanks for also the advice with the booster pack options. I'm happy to sub to your channel.
This deck got me targeted very early on when i first used it because of the blood token ability very useful for reserving mana for high powered creatures with death touch and lifelink XD all round fun still experimenting with it though
Yeah, it was a set booster exclusive. Apparently they thought it would be a great idea to put Commander cards in a booster product and not in any of the Commander decks!
From what I recall, this was a difficult card to pull. You'd probably have to open several boxes to find one. You're better off just buying the single card from TCG Player or your local game store.
Best is to remove them from opponent's hand or counter the spell while it's on the stack (unless it has 'can't be countered'). Another option is to use a board-wipe or similar spell that doesn't specifically target the permanent with protection.
The great thing about these Commander pre-cons is you're going to have a decent experience whichever deck you get. The gameplay experience is going to vary wildly depending on what cards you draw. I personally prefer Strixhaven, but the Crimson Vow decks might appeal more to you.
In my experience, Commander and Easy are two things that don't go together! There are so many more triggers and card interactions that you need to worry about that don't exist in Standard.
New commander decks looks cool ngl, but the problem is that it's mostly reprints, love the precons that's b4 innistrad, don't get me wrong, these decks are great, but in terms of power level, dnd's precons are way better than crimson vow's, coven counters is a decent deck and undead unleashed in my opinion has way too much self damaging to draw a card, causing the player to die to draw. These are just my opinion.

I'm in exactly the same boat 9 month on!
I just got back into magic recently and this was the first deck I bought it looks so awesome

I bought this one. Love my vampires 🧛🏻♂️
Me too!!
Is this strong without upgrades?
I'm in the philippines. what kind of dice i should use for the +1/+1 counters?
Seems a bit janky but quite flavourful. If I buy this I’m definitely adding in a vampiric tutor to find a decent finisher.

I just bought this, gonna get into playing MTG this is my 1st deck as well.
Don’t forget to learn how to play the actual game. Commander is just a sub type. The normal game will always be better. Have a deck for both. :)

I am so getting this deck. Is so beautiful
Just picked this up as my first deck so far 3 wins 1 loss im happy with it
Pretty decent commander deck. The Deck box looks nice.
I love your videos because of how you emphasize "mythiiiiiic" lol
TCG says that Hollowhenge overlord is in a crimson vow commander deck so far, none of them have it. Is it in a booster or something
Yeah, it was a set booster exclusive. Apparently they thought it would be a great idea to put Commander cards in a booster product and not in any of the Commander decks!
@@MTGUnpacked thx for the info! What they did sounds like a BS move
@@MTGUnpacked so if I were to buy the set boosters itself, not the decks, would I be able to get the card

@@MTGUnpacked okay thx. I wished I bought it sooner. Now it's really expensive
Any suggestions for countering card that have protection from black and/or red.

I'm just looking for a good on dead themed commander deck
Undead Unleashed from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt fits that theme.
Crimson vow deck or sixhaven decks ? Which is the best from gameplay

I just want the best of them from gameplay and to be easy too

Ohhh great , thats a challenge for me , challenge accepted 😎
What about the kamigawa deck aslo ? Are they good ?
