Only thing I would change with the Marian Hegemony's emblem is to make the armor look more like a historically accurate version of the 2nd Century Lorica Segmentata.
A Roman Empire in space analog is always an interesting play on what if’s. What if the empire had never fallen continued in to the present. Eventually taking over the solar system and this quadrant of the galaxy? It’s always interesting. Thanks more lore to get the imagination going.
Wonderful example of someone who loves Roman history but failed to notice that the REPUBLIC of Roman did everything possible to avoid having a absolute ruler and only started to collapse under the IMPERIAL Rome. Duplicating the mistakes while ignoring all the hard work to achieve the success, what a wonderful combination.
It also struck me as odd and a bit funny, that these people who were trying so hard to emulate ancient Rome, would "upgrade" their government with the one form of leadership that lead to its downfall.
You mean the instable and corrupt senate? The imperial takeover happend because the republic was insustanable but Rome doesn't collapsed because it become a imperial state but because economical, culture and demographic changes with a failing military base and degenerating civilisation. Byzantium was very strong a long time after the west fall and they are ruled by a emperor as well so no, it is not the imperial takeover fault. (But not as if I don't want to see a scifi Roman Republic type of nation, but I don't think series republics can work in such big scales)
@@varisugocsay1152 I am more focused on the specific day to day operations. I look at the three people who had an equal vote on what each individual legion did an see a highly functional system with long term growth, growth that Imperial Rome abandoned. You don't like the fact that they used Iron Maiden's mascot as the inspiration for their flag?
These videos about the various 'states' of Battlemech have increased my knowledge of a game/RPG that I've loved for over 20 years.
I take it the Caesers take the entire month of March off, you know, just in case?

I think Rocket did a few years ago.
