- I go over the details of what the current Cyber security job market looks like. I did my own research with other hiring managers across different industries. Budget cuts, freeze hiring, and people getting let go. But even with all of the negatives, some are still looking to hire more talent!
Join me for this video and my insight on staying on top of it all to get hired.

Its simply an Employers market right now period. This type of issue of saturation isn't just in the Cyber Security space. So many people out of jobs right now, and those that are currently employed that are also looking and applying is making it even more difficult. Its a big disaster right now. This over saturation issue has been seen many times over and will eventually work its way out.
This feels like it was made for me almost haha! Get outa my mind sir! Great video good content and perspective for sure! Also I had never heard of a follow up thank you letter a video on this would be helpful!
One more time I would like to thank you for sharing this great content. It is very inspiring.
Unfortunately, the situation of an internal employee already holding the “open” position is true. I’ve been through it myself as well within my current company. They opened a lead position, plastered the posting over LinkedIn, company website, and through an internal email to all staff. I went through 2 interviews; one with the manager and the final with a VP.
Little did I know, they had already promised the position to a supervisor that didn’t want to be a supervisor anymore, instead of elevating us lower level staff.
This wasn’t the first company that I’ve seen repeat this same process and is very common unfortunately.
Thank you for sharing.
We'll see if I can enter the IT field coming from Geek Squad. Feels near impossible sometimes.
I do agree with how the market has been looking quite saturated lately but doesn’t this also depends on the location of where you are especially if it’s an onsite job and not remote cuz I’d say the remote jobs are even more saturated.
I’m new to learning tech, do you
Think this industry is just to saturated? It feels impossible to
Find a job these days. Love any input, it’d been stressing me out trying to
Figure out what to do
My 3.9 GPA is crap 🤦🏽♂️can you at least let a fella know which certs is great to acquire first? I graduate next spring and discouraged can't possibly be the word for how I'm feeling in regard to entering the industry. Also, does possessing soft skills matter in the cyber field?
It matters for every job of every type, but especially matters for customer/partner facing jobs in the sales organization. Jobs like sales/systems engineer, solutions architect, channel/partner manager, customer success engineer, etc.
I almost done doing a AS in cybersecurity. I got an internship for IT this summer and next month going for my Security +. What would u recommend in my case?

What area would you put labs in on resume? Personal development? Training?
Honestly it doesn’t matter as long as it pops out at you. But if I had to pick one it will be training
