I got family and friends from the islands. Jamaicans, Haitians, DR and ironically as it may seem. This coming Sunday is a little cousins birthday and that’s what we definitely plan to make is jerk chicken it’s been marinating in my fridge for three days.

But even tho my grandparents lived in the house in South Jamaica Queen I explain It the same way It’s so much unity over there I remember being a lil girl just walking to the delis alone and feeling so safe back in the late 90’s.
