As a white kid who grew up with Cambodian bloods I must say they are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I was the “new kid” in a big city highschool and I got picked on a lot for being a suburban kid, my Cambodian blood friends stood up for me every time and made sure they had my back!
Happy C day cuddy! Crip cuh on dat block!
yea cause they aren't really gangster lol
they only blood when no crips are around.
they chose the color red , just like the Khmer Rouge regime that commited genocide against their people.
not the brightest people on earth.
they the biggest pretenders out there, they fold that flag anytime crips are around 100% of the time@@yeon723
I lived on the island of Koh Rong, Cambodia for 5 months back in 2018. The Khmer are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet in your life. All the love for this journalism. 💙👏🏼
Wrong colored heart Homie!! SUWOO!!!! 😂😂
Man, take me back to Koh Rong. What a fucking paradise.
Cambodia is one of my favorite countries to ever visit. I've been there five times. Party favors galore ;) Was on Koh Rhong Samleom island back in 2015 and it was the best beach paradise I've every enjoyed throughout the world and I've been all over. The water was clearer than that of Hawaii, Florida, Thailand, and Africa. Starfish were bright orange and the size of my hand. Roosters were our alarm clock. Also. there was no internet or wifi and only electricity for twelve hours a day. Absolute paradise.
I agree, said ethnic group from said 3rd world country with a troubled past are lovely people.

The young man speaking on living for his parents is how we all should be doing. The goal is to always provide a better life than the last generation. I really respect him for that.

Yeah that was cool of him. Always respect the parents.
Is he really? Or usa is doing that?

These were some real people. When dude said he would tell a young kid not to bang, my respect for them went up 100%. Edit: he just said he lived for his parents. You don’t hear that often. These some of the most down to earth dudes I’ve seen. Love the positive energy.

I don’t really comment on videos but this hands down was the most interesting video yet. They seem well organized and respectful towards eachother. I can tell they’re all closer than friends building that bond is important and helps people grow together! Keep it up Tommy s/o the Cambodian Bloods 💯

so they chose the color red to represent Pol Pots Khmer Rouge regime that committed mass genocide. thats as dumb as it gets. but then again... they are cambodian.. so not too surprised there
Tommy, this has been one of my favorite videos youve done as of late. Javn got a good heart for sure and hearing him talk about his parents was heartwarming as hell. That whole group seemed very wholesome tbh.
His mom is probably like 4 foot 8, I've never seen a Cambodian woman over 5 foot 5, and if she was above 5 foot 2, guaranteed to have an unhealthy BMI, And they all have a thing for the brothers, even more so than the Latinas.

Just be yourself and be normal and you'll be okay. I'm not in any groups and you just let them know your just a regular Stocktonian. My Khmai friends actually thought me some history that was mention in this video. Thanks for putting 209 here!
you guys are pathetic. get a damn education and a job.
Is there Filipino gangs in Stockton?
@@ChristophSanAndreas No they all bang asian gangs.
Respectfully I don't think this channel gets proper attention or relevance it's deserves. This is for real journalism about real life. Much respect for you and your team . Keep making these videos.
Just gon write this here for any Cambodian kids that needs help. Just work a job and build your credit. Save as much money as you can. And y’all already got a support group so if 4 of y’all could get a 750 credit score that’s at least 400k in business funding and y’all could start businesses. I’m 25 from Oakland and I was in the streets but I made it out through crypto and credit. And I’m traveling the world now. I moved to nyc and been going to different countries where the US dollar makes you rich.

Bro, i love these guys. They are so genuine and happy to be alive. Stay safe my brothers and i wish yall the best
Knew a bunch of Cambodians in high school, they were all super friendly. It feels hopeless growing up in Stockon and San Joaquin County when your family doesn't have much. Most people that I knew left, including me. There's a real lack of jobs that pay decent wages.
The military got me out the 209
Been in SC for 5 years still a South Stockton 9th st Blood tho just wanted a better life
Born N Raised in Mo town and i'm moving my self now after 3 decades. Its just a dead end here.
You either work for that broke ass city Stockton, Corrections or Walmart. Thats all Stockton got going on for it.
Yeah, I moved to Sacramento as soon as I could...then I left the state. It was quite hopeless. Everyone with talent left. Had some damn fine food tho, still miss it!
Tommy g you’re the goat. I graduated from MSU. I’ve lived in the ghetto to highest value areas and what you show is respect is everything. Everyone is on different paths to the same mountain top. Guess where the nicest people were, the ghetto. I have a family now and doing well but i miss it so much. I was the only white dude at hunter park in Lansing on sundays after church. If you were there you know I made the best mashed potatoes. Helped out with community garden and taught kids in the area to grow food from the ground because I’m from an agro community. Point is to get involved. No matter where you live, get involved. Politicians suck and divide us. But also have the right mindset. You are no better than ANYONE because of what you’ve done, your status, how much you make, your account balance, nothing. I think you get that.
lansing still that place, im in the same boat bro, live in the UP now. but i met some of the coolest mf there lol, more south side and a lil north.

This is proof that every young man needs a tribe to belong. I was lucky to do it through sports. When i stopped playing as i got older, i could feel myself becoming more distant and leaning towards self harm (alcohol and drugs). No matter what they do, you can see the love for each other.
Interesting cause lots of people don't have things to do or teams to be a part of and don't lean to being drug addicts . Plus doing sports at a young age is said to stop dumb behavior when you get older but seems like that didn't work for you . Probably a mental strength issue not being a part of a " tribe" . Need accountability of your actions cause being a drug addict isn't something you just naturally gravitate to

Love that young man saying that he does not want to see the younger kids go through what they go through and more importantly, looking out for his parents. That young man has a lot of love in his heart. Crazy he caught up in that type of life. I'm sure his parents are worried about him every time he walks out the front door. Great video Tommy G. Oh, sorry, I mean Tommy B. LOL Be careful and safe travels. These guys are NO JOKE! 💯
They say that on camera.. Then give youngins guns and drugs to hold for em
@@KzinoBilal You might be right but it's actually a nice change of pace when gangsters aren't just hyping up how great they are for being in a gang. They're actually able to sit back and at least put on a decent public image to say hey this life isn't it. Most other gangsters just like to talk about how wild and crazy their hood/gang is in a way that is supposed to glamorize it to young kids.
@@KzinoBilali live in this area and this group is pretty chill, like protective of the whole neighborhood. yeah i may hear gunshots here and there (probably bc of their opps) but when they walk by they dont give a second glance to intimidate anyone. i remember when the vigil was held for the guy that died

i never in my life thought tommy was finna go to stockton 😭

What regular well off people might not realize, is that these are good kids, who join a gang for a sense of family and community, and family isn't always blood (no pun). It's good we got little Docs like this, to give us insight, that helps warrant compassion.
As a cambodian, it heart warming for me to see my people are doing their best in the environment where they were raised. They escaped war but now are in a war but yet they seem happy. They do what they do to see their parent and for the future, which might not be the best method. But they are trying. Stay strong my khmer brother and sister. 💪🇰🇭
I think this was a good perception of the Cambodian gangs here in CA. They are loyal and good people. I had many as friends growing up. Always a good time and always made you feel like family.
You should do a documentary about schooling in America. And how it was designed to create factory workers. That is why so many of us come out actually equipped for adult life.
Huh?
@@9roselove9I think he meant to write “not actually equipped”
ready for adult life? they just make you obedient, not ready for adult life, 1 economics and 1 finance class is not enough for adult life. They need to be teaching kids to be free thinkers and ask questions, and once they get into high school start preparing them for jobs, get them into career paths or help get them into higher education so they are prepared for life. And for the love of god teach kids more about finance so the world doesn't feel so scary to 18 year olds out of high school

CAMBODIA AND THE KHMER PEOPLE NEED MORE LOVE NO MATTER WHERE THEY LIVE I used to work in Cambodia for an NGO researching and discovering genocide killing fields from the Pol Pot years. Words do not put into context how much that one man fked up an entire country. Almost half the entire population that didn't escape was either murdered or starved to death, and it's estimated by psychologists that 50% of Cambodians over the age of 35 have moderate to severe PTSD.
I knew many Cambodian, Vietnamese, & Laotians (obv, growing up in Stockton). One of my good friends, Keo, survived in the Cambodian jungle with her family for years, hiding, as her grandfather had been in the government. They came to Stockton in the 70s, and nobody knew, but she was older than all the other kids at school. She never told me everything they endured, but it was horrific.
I lost touch with her after I moved to Sacramento, and still think of her. Wish I could find her. Hope she's doing good.
The Khmer Rogue had no effect on the younger generation of Cambodian Americans. It’s weird to see them claim ptsd from Pol Pot when they weren’t even a nut in their daddy’s balls yet 😂
Thank you 🙏🏼 for showing Stockton love.
Best part of your entirely great videos is seeing the end to see who you’re looking to get in touch with. Always interesting shit. Kudos for doing what you do well.

They got another hood in Massachusetts. Back in the 90s I met a good friend in high school from their gang (I think he had ties to an LA gang that was tied into with them in Stockton - he always repped both). He was a transplant from LA to Boston, and I believe he lives out in Lowell. He was and still is a Blood affiliate to this day albeit an old man now lol. He was and still is a legend out here lol. Can't say his name, but he's like 5'4, Cambodian, and had a hook that would drop a dude twice his size. These dudes are for real, but truth be told extremely family-oriented.
I liked this video, not that I don't like the other ones. The difference is that these guys seem way more chill and down-to-Earth. They weren't trying to flex their gangsta and weren't being overly aggressive and goony to show off to the camera. Just straight up dudes who were holding it down.
