Your smile can brighten even the darkest days !
I didn't know I could palm mute above the bridge. Thanks Rachelf. I hope I get a gf at the tex mex lounge club.
Hi Rachelf, can you please do a video on strumming patterns? Thanks X
You look way too happy in every frame and me makes me envy your happiness. Also thanks! Now I can make everyone in my house regret not smashing my guitar when they had the chance!
Why is your voice gives the "joyful" or "bright" atmosphere??? I feel comfortable hearing it while you teach.. keep up the lessons

When I learned this at 14-15 years old I called it BOMPIN. little did I know it would lead to what they call djent nowdays.
The lessons are helping me so much, thanks Rachelf
So happy to hear that, thank you!
Fantastic and intuitive explanation of palm muting. I've been playing guitar for about 2 months and just finished learning Rage Killing in the name. Applying palm muting made it easier to play and sound much better! Thanks Rachelf.
I really love your vids. Your smile is radiant and your infectious enthusiasm keep me enthralled. Thanks for encouraging us all to keep plugging away with practicing the more advanced techniques. Cheers
Good stuff Rachel! Now, on top of getting really good on guitar, you have become a good teacher as well!
Thanks for the vid!
awesome! Back when I was learning, it was difficult. But it's genuinely one of the most expressive things you can do once it's mastered, whether electric or acoustic, pretty much all styles - even fingerpicked!
Your videos are so helpful and thorough, thank you!
So helpful! Thank you
I really enjoy your lessons. I love your enthusiasm. I am extremely impressed and I hope you know that you don't need to listen to the critics and rude people. I am a beginner and I think your lessons are great. You have empathy for people who are learning and you make it fun. Keep doing doing what you are doing. You obviously know what you're doing.
Oh Rach! Love your smile. It's so inspiring for the beginner guitar community.
Very informative and cohesive package! I suspect that you inspire many beginner guitarists with your videos 😎
Thank you :)!
This was so so helpful, thank you!
Rachel is a great teacher, appreciate the videos. I will tell all the students to watch and learn.
You're my best ever guitar teacher, thank u! OwO
This helped me alot! Thank you so much
Thank you, Rachel. I now know more than I did before I watched. Very easy to understand. I need to practice. All about the muscle memory.
This woman is incredible and a great teacher, she is awesome.
Very well explained! Great video.
Thank you.
love that guitar..
Thanks! Very informative and well explained!
Really love these tutorials keep rocking Rachelf 🎸🤟🏻
Thank you! \m/
i’ve been dying for a new video and you came through!
Rest, Rest, Restvyour hand... Djently on the strings!
Merrily merrily merrily merrily ... music is a dream
Thank you! I feel like I've been to 20 different guitar UA-camrs, but your the first to make sense :D. You Rock!
I already knew this but this is actually really helpful for when I am trying to explain it.
Youre always so happy😁
Thanks. I love how you teach. You are very good. Keep it up 👍
Muchas gracias
Saludos
Once again thank you for the captivating lesson. I enjoy how you get to the point and not run on your videos with gibberish like a-lot of instructors would. Please keep up the great work.
AWESOME tutorial as always Rachel! Thank you!
Thank you :)
thank you!
As always great video, keep them coming!
Thank you!
Well done !
Thanks for the lesson. I've been struggling with palm muting. I was very inspired by your Metallica riff. I've been practicing it and almost sound decent. Appreciate the lesson and demo.
I’m a beginner and you are fantastic....Subbed😊
Thanks!
Great lesson, great smile! Subbed
Cool video you have a knack for explaining and teaching guitar skills. You inspire a lot of people I don't think I would have the patience to teach 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I appreciate it, thanks!
May i ask You to stop reading my mind please? :D
1. I was like Rachel should do more "how to" videos...
2. I started to learn to palm muting...
Thanks for the video anyway ;)
Perfect timing! 😁

Thanks Rache! We luv yah!
Thank you! :)
Love your guitar tone!
Thank you! I'm using Bias FX2

You are very motivating! I buyed a guitar a year ago and just gave up playing very quickly because I had no idea on how to learn and I didn't make progress. But now I'm starting again to play and your videos played a big role for me as an inspiration, thank you
So cool to hear! Best of luck with your playing :)
Thanks for tutorial, I need to improve it even though it seems for me confident :)
*LIKE* from Poland ;)
Thank you Rachel, this helped a lot. Hopefully i can show you my progress some day!
Awesome! :)
Your lesson is great but smile is priceless!!!!
Rachel!! Thank you so much for this. I have been totally struggling with this lately. (Your video is so timely.) I've been strumming and picking like I'm sawing wood. Then I watched Tim Pierce give a lesson on palm muting and Rick Beato talking about it too. Wow, not easy to master. But, as always, you've inspired me. I guess I got locked into a bad habit of strumming so wildly. Thank you. Please keep the videos coming. We're here.
So glad to hear it is helpful! Thanks :)
Good stuff Rachel.
Thank you!
Great tutorial!!
Thank you!
This is a really good lesson. You have a knack for explaining things in a 101 level way and there isn't enough of that on UA-cam.
Thanks so much!
that guitar reflects my soul
I was just learning palm muting. And then you upload the video! Thanks.
So awesome! :)
just what i needed
Glad to hear! :)
can you explain round trip, slow and fast
can you explain how to play faster please?
Gracias..🎸
The best elf of all
:) cool thanks for the heads up
I just noticed that I have the same amp that you are using in this video. I like it a lot. John
Hey Rachel ! Thanks for the tutorial on palm muting. I suck at it but all it takes is practice, practice and some more practice. A person won't get better watching some one else do it...which is what I have a tendency to do. You've come a long way in your playing...thanks for being an encouraging guitarist...take care Rachel.
Thank you! You will definitely get it down :)
why do you look and sound like you're right about to laugh but it never happens
for real 😂😂
She's high off her ass?
she talks in the vocal fry register.....
i think she'll sound good with a chest voice or falseto
Lol fr
Damn same, I've been waiting for her to do that but yeah
Guitar Goddess.
Good helpful video, Rachel. Palm muting I find tricky, this helps
Thank you!
Loved the video Rachel, thx for the help!! Now can you do a video on pinched harmonics? I have a huuuuge struggle with the thumb pinched harmonic. Sometimes it sounds cool and clean and other times...well...just help haha
I was palm muting the other day and I wasn't doing so well. So I had my overdrive pedal on and I turned up the volume on the drive and I dexided to try to do a power chords 80s song. Think it was the I Wanna Rock Twisted Sister song and I accidently had my palm in the palm mute position and I actually accidently perfectly playrd a 0alm muted chord! Then I tried the open chords and it sounded just like this video! I was so happy! Gonna try to learn somebody save me by cinderella. It has a lot of palm mute open chord/normal chord transitions which will be great practice for me XD
Thank you. Are you playing through the white amp behind you?
are you playing this through your thr? tone sounds good
Hey Rachel! Thank you so much for the video! It was a huge help and I'm feeling so much more confident with palm muting. Do you have any tips for palm muting while strumming power chords up and down, not just chugging on the downstroke? Thanks!
Thank you so much Rachael. It's interesting how when you mention rock and Metal you segregate both genre and subgenre as if implying Metal is not even part of the Rock genre or is stand alone... 😊
I do the same when I talk about Punk subconscious. Neither of us are wrong...
I am in love now.
The middle of my palm on the guitar always lifts up when I strum... I don't know if it's wrist flexibility or what since I'm kinda new
Awesome
Thanks!
Awsome vids keep it up🤘⚡...btw how old are you?
Hey I'm a learner and I'm looking at the ibanez range, iv heard the neck is thinner, I do have small hands so should that help me reaching around the neck.
John the Viking
i wish i looked this happy....anyways like your videos❤️
Thats a beautiful Ibanez, whats it called? Also great video!
Bruh your guitar matches the ghost album. I love that
Can you please do a video on barre chords, they are really hard:)
I accidentally discovered palm muting on my first month or something
ok Christopher Columbus
@@sharshabillian im sorry but this killed me lmao
Hey Rachel, thanks for the explanation! My question is where I place my right hand, when I switch between palm muting and not muting because when it just floats over the strings it feels kind of uncontrolled? Like, when I play the open A string, I can rest my hand on the E string as an anchor, but I can't do that when there is no string above :D So do you just float while playing open / not muted notes on the low string? Thanks :)
Are you using the Yamaha THR amp behind you there?? How do you like it ??
Would like to have this same sound . Can you tell me what you are using to get this sound ??
cool delain shirt as well :P
Hi
Can you do a video of how to do palm muting with alternative picking? I can only do it with down picking. If I try up picking it just sounds horrible and twangy and not muted at all.
What model of Ibanez is she using on the vid?
She looks like a more happy female version of adam neely
Thank god
How do you play a 3-1-3 power chord?
Could please do tutorial how to sweep picking? Nice tutorial thoo
That guitar is fricken bad ass
is Ghost your favourite band? because it is mine too
