Palm muting is a guitar technique that is often associated with rock, metal and punk playing. Although this technique appears in pretty much any genre you can think of, these are the genres where it is primarily used, especially when creating heavy, chunky rhythm sounds.
The technique involves resting the heel of your picking hand on the guitars bridge at the point where the string comes over the saddle. This produces a muted, but still pitched version of the notes that you’re playing.

Great lesson and useful exercises 🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏
That last exercise I heard and was like that sounds familiar, where have I heard that before, pretty sure that's similar to part of a rhythm section of phantom of the opera by Iron Maiden lol.
Now you can play anything😎
yeah fantastic break down mate think bar chords would be a handy video see
Hey Paul, thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it. I actually shot a video all about barre chords which was posted on the PMT channel about a month ago. If you head over the video feed and scroll back around a month you'll find it. It breaks down how to play barre chords in full detail 😀

Don’t focus too much on that, everyone told me different things and I found whatever felt comfortable worked which was holding the pick how I always do I just end up gripping it a bit harder lol.
