I'm just thankful we can kind of unfuck our screw ups through the guild shop. I don't even want to know how bad the grind would be if I didn't have the ability to buy the badges from the Guild shop.

Nice Summary Nandi. I definitely wasted resources on useless abilities. My chaos characters aren't strong enough to make it through the campaign yet so I find myself trying to boost them while preparing for legendary. Maughan Ra would be great to get, but I just got enough Imperial characters to hopefully get some of the challenges done. They're sadly not strong enough to get through level 8.
The Chaos campaign without Abbadon is so rough tbh. Even with Angrax's really decent passive, the sheer damage output of the Cadian weapon teams is just absolutely ridiculous. I have every Black Legion character upgraded to Silver II, and it's genuinly absurd how 2 of the Las weapon teams delete someone like Angrax even after his massive buffs + Terminator armor traits. It's wild how Stat wise the game says I have an over 23K power advantage over the last stages of the Black Legion campaign yet in game they delete me like I'm nothing.
Not sure if it was on purpose but i noticed that you talked about every single ability you elisted here with one exception and that being Yarrick Active.
Working on various units right now in an attempt to at least get some payoff from the Maugan Ra event. Got Angrax to Silver 2 and lv 27 hateful, pushed Yarrick to Silver 1 for the resilient team, working on upgrading Arjac now for the same lineup (only bronze 1 so far, but there's still time yet). After he hits Silv1, I'll probably try to get Aleph/Imo/Makho up to Silv1, since they're all at bronze 3 currently lol
I would love for you to go through them all, maybe just quickly like an upgrade ,or ignore. Maybe split it up between factions for a couple of videos! Some I dont know if worth upgrading, like if they get much better in later levels. And some not to spend anything on.

You said not to spread too much, what would be, in Your opinion, starting lvl of abilities for any hero? Like, put everyone over common? Or is the different too little to Invest even 1 badge on someone that's useless?

great video, really useful for a new player like me.
just a note: around minute 2 you are talking about the abilities does not scale linear with level, which is true; however it seems that they scale linear with the badges to spend to improve them. It may be a bias that makes me mistake, but it seems to be consistent on the lower levels. I.e. as a simple example, it is like a 1 common badge add +5, and later from a lvl X to X+1 spending 2 commons you get +10 overall, which is linear regards of the spent (then ofc uncommon ones add like a +8 singly that scales again later) - what do you think?

What about the ability of the new rustalker? To me, combined with tangida and actus, It sounds broken af
How did you get the 9 and a half thousand for Margan rah damage when buffed by Thaddeus? I see 1347 at 6 hits which is 8,082. Is there another way it's buffing him? The prebuff was a little off for me too, 550 at 6 hits is 3,300. So I am thinking there is another damage addition stat that you are adding in I just do not know what it is.
if he is not moving it could be the Heavy Weapon trait bonus?
What the benefit of upgrading aunshi active if you get the active re-up anyway? Upgrading it just upgrades the healing portion, which is useful, but not really earth shattering. Am I missing something? Great video BTW
It recharges the skill to the lower level of the two actives.
For example if Bellator has a level 45 active and Aunshi has a level 15 active - when you recharge, you cast Bellator’s active at level 15

Great list to work from. I have most of them in my top 8 but I have 1 query of a character and passive not mentioned.
Re'Vas.. She has a damage increasing passive and against mech units bonus (szarekh and orkie), does this passive not make the list?
The damage and abilities increase sharply from around 45 plus? The legendary badges is a tough one trying to spread amongst the 8, let's not get started on xp books. Yikes, even legendary books at level 42+ loose their punch.
She’s viable but competes for xenos badges aun shi, Revas and eldryon - all of whom use the badges better. In the ultra late game, Revas isn’t used that much in raids. So I don’t want to recommend potential misappropriation of resources.
Excellent point though. I think if most raid teams didn’t start with eldyron + Calgar + Bellator + ra then she might have a shot
@@Nandi40k I'm short RA and Calgar so even though she's another xenos she's next in line damage wise I think. Your videos have so much research behind them so I absolutely respect your selection. Poor Re'Vas, always the bridesmaid, never the Bride 😂
Been thankful for her active when ghazgull spawns show up. Those feckers wreak havoc on legendary.

Is eldryons doom boost per hit?
I never get it. Is it inceptor or interceptor? Everyone seems to call mini-bellators interceptors, but it says inceptor in the game.
Yup, it's Inceptor (from the the same root that goes to the English word inception).
But you can't change other people's notions of the truth, especially these days)
I'm confused about the chaos section where you mention Volk passive. You talk about hitting multiple enemies, but that's his active ability not his passive. Is volk's passive giving some other unit buff I'm missing?
Multi-hit ranged attack I think is the phrasing that I use.
Multiple hits means that each hit triggers powerful passive damage boosts from characters like Eldryon and Calgar
@@Nandi40k ok so in the video you talk about investing into his passive ability which is 30% chance for more damage and piercing. Is that what you meant?
Yes!
Celestine is up there, but I think Sibyll is the best pvp character in the game. Her clicky one shots basically everyone, and her passive gives your entire team infiltrate.
Also, dont sleep on Yaz in pvp. His ability to sling shot other psykers is amazing, especially paired with Sibyll and given infiltrate.
Just my 2 cents.

Eldryon is great but Eldryon + Aethana should be illegal, it’s so busted as both of their passive abilities stack and add an extra boost because they’re both Aeldari
I realize how relevant is Aun shi active. But is that relevant to lvl? Only the healing scales and is not that important. Feels like investing in his passive may be more useful
The level you take his Active to is the same level you copy (whichever is lower). So if you copy Bellator's level 45 active but Aun'shi's Active is only level 15 then you only get level 15 summons.

No love for Thaddeus's active? For one turn at the end of the guild raid it gets 10x hits. Which should mean 10x benefits from Eldy and Calgars buffs. But i guess with those buffs it probably matters less that the active on its own does more damage...
The active ignores all bonuses - it’s in the ability description.
I agree it’s still powerful though!

I really hate how the ability badges work. I get that grinding for these is imporant, but it really just....rubs me the absoloute wrong way just *how* much better the ratios for upgrading above 30 are. It's demoralizing knowing even if I spend money it's next to impossible to truly get good value out of the badges unless I go hard into a character, it's probably one of my only real complaints about the game and how absurd it gets sometimes.
