as usual this was very useful most content creators focus on tier lists, specific characters, comps or events but for a resource management game dont really see people discussing how far to take the abilities.
I still love my boy Corrodius. Sometimes people seem to forget that he's still there after a few rounds and when that active hits and suddenly every enemy is surrounded by 2-3 Poxwalkers, mmmmmh, delicious.
As someone who’s fought one too many Corrodiuses in their lifetime, I can confirm that he is a pain in the ass later in a match. Unless you have a forgefiend.
My first 10 req pull gave me Morvenn Vahl. That was 6 months ago and she is still my #1 character @25k power ( silver 2, legendary 5 star). Trying to get my top 20 characters to silver 1 before I push her further.
This is an awesome summary! Definitely will use it for future planning! A few questions/request do come to my mind: -Maugan Ra and Ulf while both are in the Dirty Dozen(4th and 11th) didn't even get mentioned. While I can understand that Maugan Ra's abilities do not play a great role in the greater picture, Ulf's passive imo does. Smacking guild raid bosses every turn(cuz they love to use abilities) and againts summons is great and might have been worth a mention. -I would really love to see a guide on the psyker team how to build and how to play that. Thank you all for the work you do!
Best Tacticus creator out here, I leveled Eldryon because of a previous vid of yours and it's really helped for my newer account. Keep up the amazing work!
Really great video! This will be a great resource for badge allocation! Bellator is an unsung hero for being unlocked at the beginning of the game while also being a top character.
personaly i like using boss gulgortz with exitor rho as he has the two attacks if he melees (his passive) which makes it so exitor rho has 2 attacks from one person it also means i can use my zenos and imperial tokens to not use all of them and the waaagh is good for my mainly melee line up
I was looking for someone who utilizes Exitor Rho. I got lucky and got him early on and he gets the vast majority of my imperial resources. I use Thutmose for the same reason as the ork war boss - two attacks from a mechanical character. Aleph Null helps a ton too with the drones. Exitor Rho absolutely slaps with a mechanical army 😁
Love the well researched evidence based content with analysis and insights. I sincerely hope you are putting these skills to other uses like financial independence, investing and developing other content topics. You have excellent transferable skills. Nice job.
Thanks so much Nandi mate, and don’t worry about the long video, this detail is why we 🫶 you and keep coming back👍 I’m a mid player, and thanks for the Rogal Dorn tip. I’m only doing about 66k per raid as I’ve focused too much on high pierce characters. I’ll unleash Ragnar now 😁 the mech team does look like fun, but there’s no way I’d spend so much on imperial just yet.
Hi!, I still keep coming back to this video and your dirty dozen series to decide my prios in tacticus, this is truly amazing content! I was wondering, since I just got Kharn, how useful you think his abilities are, or if you're planning on doing a new abilities video any time soon. I've plenty of chaos badges, so I've already leveled him up to 44 and both his abilities as well, so I'm not really looking for advice, as the deed's done already :) but more to see your views on the character. Thanks!
No Celestine?! Her Passive had carried me through the entire game and when I finally got Isabella it's just been hilarious to watch things try to hurt me haha
I would consider midgame at that point, where you have one or two reasonable GR teams at gold1 to compete against legendary bosses without instantly dying and can unlock base LRE characters (3*). Late game is at that point, where you can support your guild to complete a full GR run and are able to unlock LRE chars max level. also being able to compete in GW level 4 and above.
For the multy hit team against 2 of the tyranid bosses, I can recommend leveling up the new snotflogga's passive, and if you combine him with thoread, they can put out a decent and consistant damage. Snotflogga's passive can help you in legendary events and in the ork campaign, when you can bring him, it can also help in arena and guild wars. As for how high up, maybe lvl 35 is fine tho. As for thoread to help the grots, just add up the about max damage which you can deal, and just get him to that level. As for other recommendations, archimatos has decent abilities for any gamemode. Toth's passive can help in some modes. Winged prime's both abilities(you should bring neuro with him),Tyrant guard's passive for pvp and leg event. For raid darkstrider's passive is decent if you want to run a ranged team. Rest of the characters' abilities only really have niece uses, so only level them up if you really want to use them.
Thaddeus is who I build my heavy gunners around so he's my top character with Magan Rah being my next highest. Gonna start leveling a mech team with the Mechanicus dudes next.
Multi Hit, Neuro and Mecha builds are the top 3 meta. Would you be so kind to share any other honorable mention build teams you consider as 4-5th place?
see the campaign unlocks you are talking about i seem to be missing? like kut skoden, abraxus, and Toth. Are these ones baked into the boss mission reward reqs?
Yeah, once you have the initial teams (Black Legion's Archie, Angrax, and Haarken for Fall of Cadia, or Calandis, Aethana, and Eldryon for Saim Hann) and you clear the stage that a boss character is on, it's recommended to farm them up so you can unlock the Mirror Campaign asap (you don't need to farm up Celestine/Creed/Thaumachus/Ahriman immediately, just focus on the three that you need to unlock the mirror). Also, once you defeat those characters's specific stages, they get added to the pool of characters you can pull from Requisition scrolls, so it's good to make progress into the campaigns for that reason as well
Superb insights! 2 quick questions: How valuable do you consider the Elite Campaigns and where they stand in importance of progression? 2 Which character would be a good a solid stand in for Calgar in the multi-hit team?
They're pretty important for the obvious reason that they give you the best farming rates. Still, though, campaign progression is largely dictated by gear instead of abilities. It depends a little on the boss/scenario Generally the team asks for Eldyon + 2 damage buffers + 2 damage dealers Calgar is a damage buffer so you could swap him out for another damage dealer or depending on the boss you could use Aethana/Darkstrider (with Re'Vas, Ra) or another damage dealer - Maugan Ra is probably best here
I think Abraxas should be switched for Yazhagor in the list of "starting characters". Yazhagor is common and the first boss, so he is unlocked quickly with the campaign missions and minimum investment in farming shards. Abraxas is rare, so he takes 130 shards to unlock, a pretty big investment in energy for a new player. About 100 of those you'll have to farm manually, most likely from the common campaign node, so that's about 1800 energy you could instead be spending on getting other characters to higher ranks. As a consequence of that, I'd recommend investing in Archimatos' abilities instead of Abraxas' early on. He fulfills a similar role, he is great for campaign, works as a decent GR character for a beginner and even has a place in a good amount of LRE tracks later on. He's pretty quickly acquired from the Guild Shop, unlike Boss G or Eldryon, who take considerably more credits to buy.
This video is great. Every tacticus video is hype for new stuff I assume for views, which i don't watch anyway. Actually useful gameplay information though. Top marks.
I guess my main issue with this is that going into the midgame, these recommended skills are on characters that are no longer guaranteed to be added to your roster, even with massive time and/or money investment. As such the path of progression stagnates as you dont have the characters needed to take your units to the next level. Its a bit unfortunate.
Considering he's easier to get(?) I would say it makes more sense to put him there instead of... yknow, a character you have to farm shards for. It WILL take over a month.
Eh I get that you’re focusing towards building guild raid teams but you need to progress campaigns. Aleph should be recommended to have at least active 41 so you complete indom mirror elite (which he basically solos) which has the bonus of letting you start the calagar farm properly, get the cogwheel node for admech and aleph is an mvp for LRE and onslaught.
I suppose my point here is that those badges and gold are better spent elsewhere. Campaigns are generally progressed more through gear levels rather than abilities
I wish I watched the first one before I started this game, I jumped in now I have almost all my unlocked characters s1 and Skills 17-25, I'm great for war! Just not everything else haha
I'd put Imospekh and his passive on here too, probably up to lv35 at least. He's almost as useful as Angrax for onslaught and events whenever you have the Xeno restriction. His damage can fall a bit short, but Aethena helps with that.
@@firedrake110 It took me absolutely ages for me to get Calandis, probably sheer bad luck, but also I did not know that you got her shards from TA, so I hadn't been playing it!
New Nandi video dropped? You know I'm in the comments, pressing +1 on that engagement level up button. Setting aside the hype for my man Nandi, who's literally beating the tar out of muh guild as this video is released (Heresy Lodge gang represent), I have comments on the content covered as well: -He doesn't come out and say it, but the rough breakdown of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level ranges to me feels like it's around 1-30, 31-50, and 51+ (endgame could even be deeper into the 50's, but it's around 50-55 that you should be getting the critical members on at least one of your two raid rosters up to D3) -If you're investing in the AdMech lineup, you should probably abandon the Multihitter team. The Admechs need SOOOO many badges, it's actually harrowing. You're basically looking to have Tan & Actus with both abilites at 44+ and Rho at 50/50, which is ~175 legendary badges... -Diving headfirst into the Neuro comp if you unlock him early is a great play for most people, since it makes you a more valuable guild member in the mid-game. Mortarion at Epic is the slayer of worlds when it comes to low-level guilds, so having a good matchup there will really help your group out. If nobody is good at Mort, he takes like 5+ days to kill and that's a disaster -Spend the time and unlock Abraxas, even if you're not planning to go for the Psyker comp. He's broken as all hell, and will be a huge help to you progressing through the chaos campaigns -Eldryon is good in every comp, but mediocre in LRE's so don't just assume your piercing lineup will be fine because you have a D2 Eldy, put in the legwork and upgrade that Incisus to G1 - your healers matter, and I'm not joking Good luck all, -That Maladus Guy
On the one side this is very helpful, on the other it makes me not want to play the game because I want to play the characters I like. Mostly orks. Hence it is a bit sad how unbalanced this is.
It's the team that fully scales with investment, but the floor is very high. I would honestly feel leery bringing in a D1 lineup of mechs against half the legendary bosses. The real strength of the AdMechs are that once you get them basically complete they're able to brute force through most mechanics with their raw stats and healing power, while bamboozling the AI thanks to all the summons cropping up. The goal is to turn a clever dance into a carnival game lol
I started the game when it first launched and didn’t really get very far at the time. I’m wondering if I should start over as I don’t have a lot of the characters that you say I should have as a new player as they didn’t exist back then. Im currently power level 19 and just nearing the end of the ultra marine campaign and feeling stuck! Also spent all my resources all over the place wasting them! Doh!
Starting new would not make much sense since you have to spread later resources anyway to play some game modes. also you would have to invest all the time completely new. In my humble opinion, just start planning, play pvp and supply mode etc. until you can invest with more focus in a few chars. there are some beginner videos that explain it very well and even I learned a few things. so. game one... see it as just a timely limited plato. you will get over it :)
Dear Nandi, When building the multi-hit team, for example, do you recommend building the core plus all of the alternates, or just focusing on 5 characters before moving on to a second team?
I didn't get Eldryon or Boss Gulgortz from scripted reqs, I had to buy their shards from the guild shop. Is that something new they started doing recently?
IMO ulf is better than bellator passive or active. He can deal with wave of summons so much better. I use Ragnar coupled with aun’shi for double howl. It’s great.
Nah, man. I took Ulf, Eldryon and Angrax to lv 50, D3 and maxed their abilities. Why? Because they are coolest ones from each grand alliance. Luckily Eldryon and Angrax turned out to be meta relevant and Ulf is good in most modes and fights. I will use this guide a lot going forward though. ;-)
Henlo, new player here. First - thank you for the summary, it helps. Second - the main takeaway I have from your vids so far is, without paying real money I won't have a nice time :) Third - I tried your code but it's not working :( (I get error message "THE CODE IS NOT VALID")

Great vídeo as always!! How do you get Abraxas as a campaign reward? A have cleared most of the campaigns but do not have him... Thanks!
you can farm him from an early campaign node in the saim-hann campaign
@@Nandi40k Thanks. Now I am going through the saim-hann elite campaign and most stages give you Abraxas shards also.
IMO ulf is better than bellator passive or active. He can deal with wave of summons so much better. I use Ragnar coupled with aun’shi for double howl. It’s great.
Rpsvitah 20% vs raid bosses? Vs 2 of them only.
Still great video
Nice video👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Looking at this I'm pretty cheesed I didn't get any black Templar or 1k sons characters whatsoever
Nah, man. I took Ulf, Eldryon and Angrax to lv 50, D3 and maxed their abilities. Why? Because they are coolest ones from each grand alliance. Luckily Eldryon and Angrax turned out to be meta relevant and Ulf is good in most modes and fights.
I will use this guide a lot going forward though. ;-)
I like your videos. I am a casual player so I get stomped in pvp. I wish I'd seen your videos long ago.😭.
Maybe one day I'll get Calgar!
How does Roswitha fit into the Psychic team?
Her active makes the boss take 20% more damage for 1 turn. Use the same round you use yaz to give neuro the double hit.
@@Hakkenkrakhowl But wouldn't it be better to have another psyker in that slot to increase neuro passive?
Henlo, new player here.
First - thank you for the summary, it helps.
Second - the main takeaway I have from your vids so far is, without paying real money I won't have a nice time :)
Third - I tried your code but it's not working :( (I get error message "THE CODE IS NOT VALID")
Hi! You have to put it in the refer a friend code area - not the general code area
@@Nandi40k stoopid me :) Done!
I swear i didn't get all those charecters
I got lucky, morven was my mystery pull
Eldryon is not a scripted requisition.
