Mine is just like yours. After watching your video I found my owners manual and found out that , after removing the door, you can “carefully turn the door upside down and reinstall it on the opposite side”! Wow and phew! So easy!
Thanks a ton for the video! Just switching the door swing is way more complicated with the skinny/fat side that it should be. I also thought I could just flip the door but quickly saw it wouldn't close. I followed the manual but got so lost I searched for your video to just get it put back together LOL. But once I watched your video I was finally able to get it switched successfully!

Thanks for the video. I just got the wfw8620hc1 and even if I went through all of this (which this was an excellent walkthrough), the main unit doesn't have holes physically drilled into it with the embedded nuts. So I would likely have get inside the washer itself and make modifications. Ugh...

Iol Hoping I can just put my washer door on my dryer and dryer door on my washer after reversing the hinge of course on each as they are the same basically, and it seems like the guys at the store reversed them. Mine sadly sit side by side :(

It was on the right-side hinge BEFORE he started the video, his video started by him showing how it did not work by just removing the assembled door from the right side to the left, it does not work because the top and bottom are not symmetrical, he says, "fat side, skinny side."
The part where you said you can put the two pieces together was what kept my sanity. Without that, I may have never got it.
