I just moved into an apartment and as part of that deal, I got a really grungy, rusty washer and dryer. Thankfully, they are willing to let me bring in my own new ones, if I could make them fit. The laundry room door and dryer door block the room entrance when one or both are open, so a left hinge on the dryer is required to keep the room at least usable. The maintenance guy made it sound like I might have to specifically buy a dryer with a factory-installed left hinge, but after watching this and reading a similar set of steps in the manual of my dream dryer, I can totally do this- and wow am I excited to get a break from laundering by hand so that I can put my energy toward unpacking boxes! THANK YOU!

Thank you for this video. I tried to reverse the door just by removing it and rotating it without swapping the hinge and latch to opposite sides...NOPE: wouldn't even come close to closing. This video was very helpful thank you for posting it.

To my knowledge, washer hinges cannot be switched. That might change in the future.

I'm wondering why you didn't use a screw gun?
Hi power and/or high torque can easily strip the screws or the locations the screws thread into. I prefer not taking a chance with that. The screws are soft and are threading into plastic parts. Plus, it’s about the only time I get to workout my forearms lol 😆. Thanks for watching!
