Tool Assisted Speedrun, basically the use tools to read the game (can be important for rng and general understanding) and they input the inputs fram by fram so everything is perfect.

I don't know why this has got so many thumbs down. I guess the 2000 or so don't know what a TAS is. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TAS AND A SPEEDRUN. Anyway, I really want to acknowledge the amount of effort that would have been put into this. It would have taken AGES to do (Research the levels, find how to get the highest speed using enemies, invisible stars etc.) As you can also see, the rerecord count gets into the 100 THOUSANDS. Well done to Adelikat, Terrortim, Mindnomad and Y05H1.

I remember when I used to play this game the most, and I discovered how to skip all the levels and unlock the canons. I tried speedrunning it a couple times but with my patience I only cleared it in 31 minutes at best. This video brings back nostalgia. :)
