I really liked the conversation around setting stops with risk reward vs at support level, which is what I was doing. You made a good point that you could just buy lower, rather than risking more from the start. Are there other videos that dive deep into stop setting strategies?

What really trips me up is looking to the sector and overall market.
My question is how much emphasis do you put on deciding to pull the trigger? Like if you’re stock is pressing resistance and poised for a run, but the market is moving sideways on some economic data release, how much does that factor into wether you take that trade or not?
The answer to the question at 8:20 is how long do you plan to swing it. If you plan to leave it in there for six months look at the 6 month chart

I just looked at Wallmart, and am wondering did you happen to buy the reversal on Friday the 3rd of December on WMT? SIR, When swing trading forex with support/resistance what is reliable time chart to use for S/R levels--is it 4 hour OR 1 hour chart? I think that 1H ,30M, S/R levels are going to get easily violated if trading is against trend on 4H/Daily chart. Of course entry be made based on 15 M chart price action BUT ENTRY HAS TO BE IN THE HIGHER TIME FRAME DIRECTION--need your wisdom.

I have been watching AMC every day for weeks. Just zooming out on the daily chart, there is a very clear triangle forming which was getting more and more tight.
But is it ascending, or descending? You won’t know until it breaks out.
I was hoping for a breakout on the long side, so I bought near the bottom support trend line. Once it broke below the trendline I stopped out and flipped short.
Tight risk on my long because I bought at support, and a great entry at confirmation of the short.

I guess my question is this: Do most swing traders use options or buy the actual stock? And is it a buy or a sell for the put or call?
Alex I've been trading for almost 2 years now, at first I started day trading and for a while I had a few wins and also a few losses but it wasn't consistent wins, so I decided to try swing trading SPY only and to really understand about support, resistance and momentum that really helped a lot to get more consistent trades with much less risks. Overall I feel like for me swing trading works best. 👍

When it made the drop down to about 134,75 over about 1 ½ months - did you also look at the fundamentals as to why there was such a drop of probably more than 18$? I know you waited until it went up again shortly before you decided to buy, but isn´t it also important to understand why it fell with 18$?
How do you choose what stocks to trade as a swing trader?
Find stocks that have predictable-looking patterns. You buy at the lows and sell at the next high. An uptrend is a stock setting higher highs, and higher lows. A down trend is the opposite. You can swing trade either trend, the down trend of course being the riskier of the 2.
The first video out of thousands that ive seen using their own trades as an example.
