I’m answer to your question, I trade retests and breakouts. If you can manage risk for both styles, why not? Basically if you’ve mastered risk management it’s very hard to lose money.
I generally add 50 percent qty on breakout and if pull back happened then add rest of qty.

SMA and MA is basically the same. Do you mean SMA and EMA? The answer is yes, there’s no difference which you’re going to use as long as it works for the instrument you trade.
Trade breakouts and expect the retest. countless times I have missed trades waiting for retests lol

Has anyone found any success with the first moving average trade? I can't find anywhere where that would work, not with any consistency anyway. They examples seem really cherry picked.
I literally use this ALL the time and it's the most profitable strategy I use
