Thanks for watching, everyone! 🌑 What are your thoughts on Drova: Forsaken Kin? Do you enjoy these darker, more challenging RPGs, or do you prefer a more traditional RPG experience? Let me know in the comments below! And if you've played Drova, share your favorite moment or toughest choice so far-I’d love to hear about it!
I bought this game, I'm playing it and it is even better that the review says - great atmosphere and punishing enemies, great sound. The only shortcoming is lack of voice acting, but that is understandable.
You should definitely check out the Gothic series. I believe that is where Drova's devs got their inspiration from. Gothic 1's even getting a remake this year. Also, nice review. Short and straight to the point.
Just beat my first playthrough in just under 70 hours ( I explore a lot) So ready for my evil play through lol. This game is soooooooooooo good if like choice matter rpgs
That's awesome! 70 hours is impressive-sounds like you really took your time to soak it all in. 😄 Good luck with your evil playthrough; those morally gray choices are going to be even more intense! Glad to hear you’re loving the game. Choice-heavy RPGs really are something special!
Another excellent review, and just in time, for I was just checking this one out this morning! Personally, I very much lean on the side of darker and more challenging as I tend to find them far more satisfying to beat then the one in which I am definitively the chosen one expected to gallavant through the hordes of 'the enemy'. Thank you for covering this one - an excellent overview of strengths accompanied by some light downsides, which are always nice to hear over unrelenting and oftentimes uninformative blind praise. The choice of accompanying music fits your tone quite nicely as well as that of the game itself!
Hey, thanks again for stopping by! 😊 I really appreciate your support, especially since you enjoyed the Lorn's Lure review as well. It means a lot that you’re sticking around for these niche games-I always love covering titles like Drova and Lorn's Lure that might not be on everyone's radar but deserve attention. Glad you liked the music choice too-it’s always fun finding something that fits both the game and the mood of the review. Hope you keep enjoying these deep dives into the darker and more challenging games! If you end up playing Drova, definitely share your experience-I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Great question! 😊 From what I’ve seen, Drova: Forsaken Kin generally takes about 20 to 40 hours to complete, depending on how much time you spend exploring and doing side quests. Some players who really dive deep into the world and its choices may take longer, especially if they’re replaying with different factions or trying to find all the secrets. If you’re the kind of player who likes to explore every nook and cranny, you might be looking at the higher end of that range!
Drova has a solid mix-melee is the main focus, but there are some decent magic abilities too. It’s not the deepest magic system, but it definitely adds variety if you like mixing things up with spells.

I've seen a couple reviews but it just doesn't look that great to me. Maybe it's the hack n slash combat
@@Yoni123 to be fair it is really not a hack n slash. U need to analyse your enemy, especially in the beginning or when u are fighting hard enemies
and most interesting, reviews managed to avoid saying "sould-like" all the time, despite it apparantly is.
Random "HAHAHA!"

Nice to see someone talk about art direction, most of the time people say "graphics", that's what they really mean.
give me more of this type of pixel game rather than AAA game that wait for years and turn to shit.
Love the artstyle

This game looks really awesome. Definitely picking it up.

Any idea what the play time is?

Is there a physical copy
As far as I know, Drova: Forsaken Kin is currently only available as a digital release. There hasn't been any official mention of a physical copy.
@ 😲😔
That game and core keeper are gonna keep busy for a while!😊
Is this mostly melee or any decent magic in it?

pretty much you need both, early game you need SKILLS, later game you need MAGIC, you need to use melee attack to get FOCUS in order to cast MAGIC.
Looks dope
it's too short :(
Oh, you have so nice voice! Just sayin' 😛😉
Play this game non stop, long time never keep replay a game over and over besides Pathfinder Wrath and BG3
