Hey man, dont let what you hear on the internet discourage you or take your confidence. Ive noticed since that BS a few weeks ago you've made more of a point to explain yourself more and you've been more careful about what words you use. i dont think you need to. You're a great player, you're the greatest creator in the game by a wide margin. No matter what these people say in their envy, the reality is that you have inspired every single snap creator there is in some way, shape or form because you are the blueprint of what it takes to do this shit. Dont let internet creeps take that away from you, you've BEEN goated. Keep it up dog.

I 💯 agree that the 90-infinite climb has been pretty brutal for a few seasons now. I think Alex is right that the level of competition is just so much higher in those ranks.
Skill issue. Other players have been improving, but you haven't.
@@ydgmdlu I feel its more like in the 90 to 100 all the serious players are gathered while even in the 80s there are a lot of more casual players and this causes a "difficulty" spike which is not so much because lack of skill but because you are suddenly playing mostly against good players and this needs some adjustment.
MAIL BAG QUESTION - The community can agree that both Captain America and Punisher aren’t represented the way they should be based on their iconic nature. If a Wolverine style rework was done on them what would you like to see them do?
For cap die instead of another card, for punisher, destroy all 2 cost card in this location, I would love that 😏
Oh, I'd love to see cap's shield bounce around doing something to multiple targets. Maybe it puts a random opponent's played card back into their hand, at +1 cost? Or "remove" it from the board, but that'd be a new mechanic (discard and definitely death are not thematic for cap). Or maybe reduce max energy of opponent next turn, with the shield flying up and hitting their avatar.
Punisher should be damaging or destroying the opponent, not gaining power, but have to ensure they don't step on hazmat or elektra.
I've loved using GM with discard. The added energy to Morbius, Apocalypse and extra Swarms to fill the board are clutch
MAIL BAG QUESTION: Can you imagine card synergies based on changing locations, to archetype specific locations? Similar to how Magik is decicated to changing a location to Limbo, imagine a card that changes a location to K'un L'un in a move deck. or a card that changes a location to Vormir in a destroy shell. Would that type of location guarantee be too powerful? love you guys, keep up the content :)
I cannot wait to see Cozy’s Grandmaster discard. Discard is by far my favorite archetype
To the Mailbag question about rack 90 to 100: it’s harder because they removed bots at 90 a few seasons back.
Pretty sure I was still playing bots at 90 this season.
Lol Alex saying what I was saying day one. Poor craftsman blames his tools. I even commented Alex's decks were too far reaching day one and the shit needed to be simplified. Glad you guys agree. That's why you're still my favorite to watch.

Also advice on the roguelikes, a deck building one - Cobalt Core. Please go take a look at it, it's brilliant.
I would love to see one of you doing a Split every Snapchat episode and maybe in the end of each season a top 10 best Variants/splits this season
I use Grandmaster in a movement deck, Kraven in turn 2, turn 3 whenever movement card you have, turn 4/5 or even 6 play cloack and grandmaster together, so you can move in 2 of 3 locations the same turn, this is crazy for a movement deck
I noticed that I had way fewer bots in the 90-100 climb this season. It was definitely harder to climb before the blob nerf, since the meta was so restrictive that everyone knew the 2-3 decks that were being played, which made most games a 50-50, and some bad snaps or not retreating could kill you. After the blob nerf, the meta opened up a lot, and it became much easier to climb. I actually went from 92 to about 97 mostly playing Alex's black knight-doc oc-skaar deck before I had to switch to a more traditional sera black knight deck to hit infinite.

I think the best part about snap is the subjectiveness in card quality. Watching y'all's cast praising him, then watch KM and Lamby talk unimpressed and say he's mid at best.
Personally I had a ton of fun playing Grandmaster in a Nimrod Destroyer deck, especially against all tye junk decks out there.

Hello Alex and Cozy, love the work you put in for the deck guides and the Snap Chat!
I was wondering what do you think of there being two versions of the same character with different abilities in the game?
Example: In the comics Steve Rogers also went by Nomad, what if we had the usual new player friendly Captain America card but we have a separate Nomad card that has a more meta relevant ability?
Another example I can think of is Hank Pym Antman with his other identities (Giant Man, Goliath, etc). Anything that might help some of the iconic characters that are stuck in the new player friendly cards.
I absolutely love GM in my selene/anni/galactus deck. GM with hood, selene, or widow is really good especially if you have a goblin in hand. Double selene, on either goblin with galactus in hand works out more often than it doesn't and will only get better as people move onto other cards. Also if you see them building up some big cards, GM on shang chi turn 6 feels awesome.

I've been loving the classic shuri kitty deck with ravonna and grandmaster. You can play shuri + kitty then on T6 play grandmaster on shuri, kitty again and then task master for like 40 power both lanes. Even the simple combo of hitting grandmaster on zero and then playing down red skull last turn is pretty decent
Thank you Alex for talking about the darkhawk synergy with GM. I was one of those players low on hype for GM, got lucky first spotlight open got it, made an auto deck that gave darkhawk and ronan, cut the Ronan put annihilus package and oh boy am i having a good time. GM is a great card that people are sweating too hard with it. Keep it simple and it works wonders. The Blackwidow/Rockslide synergy with GM is brutal, even more so with KamarTaj as a hot location.
I've been playing Sera Control (without MMM!) almost exclusively for past week or two.
I'm in the high 80s ranked when i had previously topped out around 75.
Learning a lot about retreating, snapping and throwing priority.
Heartily recommended
You can get to infinite. Just keep retreating when you have lost and take cubes from the bots

I have the same issues lately. I used to SMOKE everything before I got to infinite and now I had a rough time once I hit 90s. I attributed to the meta at the time cause at first it was Loki dominated and then Thanos but even with a more open meta I have the same issue.
Mailbag: (Cozy might need time to prep for this one) What's your favorite card name logo?
I love Multiple Man with the duplicating N at the end. I also really like the font style used for Nova.
Mailbag: How would you feel about a system where if you ran canon teams of cards, you got a stat boost, but they would require the full members to be that team? For example, if you ran a full deck of Avengers, all the Avengers cards would get like +2 or +1 power.
I've played about 1000 games of surfer to top 1k this season. In the 200 games or so I was cooking with GM, the pop-off potential is there and I like the flexibility it brings overs say an okoye or chavez when you need that extra proc. It also offers 3 silver surfer procs on turn 6 with your sera on board
Thanks for the video. I'm curious what they'll do for the OTA; I feel like the meta is pretty balanced right now, with no one card or deck running rampant.

I still think you guys may be a bit too high on grandmaster however I agree on what you guys said about him and Alex's point of people playing him on super greedy decks made me remember of when annihilus first came out and how it was better in a smaller package and it feels the same for GM

A deck I just started experimenting with utilizing grandmaster and have been having great success with so far is a Thor/Lockjaw deck.
Im sure it can use some tweeks or adjustment but im running

Do you prefer Black Widow or Rockslide in a dark Hawk bounce deck
Love grandmaster in shaw/Surfer deck.
Forge into grandmaster into shaw.
Gives me a 2-2 grandmaster & gives a boost to my Shaw.
If I don’t have that combo, a turn with Surfer/ironheart into grandmaster later on can provide a lot of power.
In general I’ve really enjoyed the grandmaster addition, he’s been very good in a lot of decks as a ‘flex’ card that people don’t really expect in decks like destroy for instance.
Very much a nice to have, yet not essential to play card for most decks.
I had one game where I played a turn 6 Shang chi/grandmaster combo that won me the game by destroying all their 10 plus power cards in two different lanes.
There’s alot of play lines with grandmaster
Your first case he is just a 2-2.
@@jotunngigantopithacus yes grandmaster becomes a 2-2.
But he reactivates the forge to then boost the shaw to an 8 power.
It’s simple, but effective.
@@Mentalmatt14well if you put it that way, GM is a 2/4, that’s very mediocre for a 2 cost that could be put to better use and have more value in synergy with a more restricting or disrupting card that would benefit you more like a scorpion, iceman, iron heart, etc.
GM with forge shaw is just outclassed by a 3/12 iron heart. I don’t think that grandmaster would really belong in a deck like surfer.
I could argue that a brood into GM is the best use for GM in surfer but even then your clogging two locations completely on turn 4.
@@babyg220 precisely why I also have the option of Ironheart/GM or Surfer/GM in a later round to provide a big stat boost to all my other cards.
Won a lot of games with shaw/surfer based deck this week & that’s without having brood.
My top ten are mostly the key "Best Deck"and Arch cards that I don't have.

Mailbag: What do you think about getting rid of the random series 4 or 5 card in the spotlight caches? I really wanted Beta Ray Bill and spending over 3 spotlight caches as a free to play player is really annoying and tedious to get.
Mail Bag: I love that they're adding more content to the game in the future, something I've always thought about was a card trading system, now with clans coming maybe you can only trade with people in your clan or something like that. What do you guys think about a card trading system in the future?
For the next Snapchat mailbag: what would each of you consider as your “Mount Rushmore” of marvel snap cards? You can go based off nowadays or based off the game since the start. 4 cards that are just such a staple to the game that they would have the honor of having their own Mount Rushmore. I think you guys should talk more about the cache week with the thought that you only need to the new card. Like you only need X don’t waste your time or do as resources are limited and blowing 4 keys for 1 card. It better be a banger of a card. That’s my thought
I had a game where someone on turn 7 hit me with Alioth on the side lane and then Grand Master on Alioth. 😮
Is the data for the win % based on when played or when appearing on board? Black Cat is almost never played (unless you have no other option), and if not played, she appears on board pretty much when you are going to win (you either have Hela or Ghost Rider, both of which give you a huge advantage)... I'd be curious if that impacted the data at all...

MAIL BAG QUESTION, MY FIRST EDITION:
With the next two month of season pass card ability related to energy cheat cards (Black Swan and Hope Summer), what do you think about a "Discard Cheat" Card?
For example:
- A Discard card that can spesifically target the card that you want to discard (you choose the card), or
- A discard "tool" card that when it put on the board, it will activate other Discard card ability that now can, _again_ , target the card you want to discard. To put it on perspective:
1. On turn 2, you played this Discard Tool Card (Ability: The next Discard Card you played here can now choose it's target)
2. On turn 3, you played Lady Sif in the same lane as the Discard Tool Card, and since you have 2 6-cost card in your hand (ex: Magneto dan Infinaut), you can spesifically choose the card you want instead of just the game choose it randomly.
Mailbag: is there a card that was datamined but changed before release that made you lose complete interest for that card?
I was hyped for cull and supergiant but much less interested now, just getting supergiant but not sold on it yet
MAIL BAG QUESTION: should Second Dinner combine the Discard and Destroy keywords? They both destroy cards, just in different places.
Mailbag Question - Are there any upcoming cards that you are looking forward to test with a deck you enjoy? Personally I’m looking forward to brewing a SheNaut deck with Skarr and Cull Obsidian.

Mailbag: How/when did you and cozy meet and what made you decide to start the snap chat?
Mail bag: How would you feel about the Conquest adding the ability to change a card in your deck between rounds with the same opponent? It could be from the whole collection or a distinct sideboard if that's too powerful. I think the fear of queueing into a bad matchup and losing your run has created an extremely shallow meta and it's disappointing. Changing your deck a piece at a time based on your opponent's deck would prevent rock-paper-scissors matchups and give Conquest a distinct identity, because it currently feels like ladder with longer matches and WAY less viable decks.
Mailbag: Cozy, do you ever miss doing content for DSA or your variety content?

Drop a stone or somethin into lockjaw, if a good on reveal drops, drop GM into lockjaw, moves it to center and he himself procs the LJ

My most successful GrandMaster deck was normal shuri too. it hit zero, cool, both Ebony bro and lizard are going down with confidence.
If it hit shuri... you can play him with Skaar on six for a "little" surprise.

Mailbag: whats the craziest combo deck you’ve played or played against, that caught you by surprise? I recently lost 8 cubes to a turn 7 wong spectrum grandmaster deck

Bros im tellin you molt has a great surfer deck with GM. It got me to infinite pretty steadily. GM wasnt star of the show but came in handy in multiple games for sure doubling surfer or even nakia on 4 if no better play. This deck worked like a dream! Check it out.

I made it to infinite absolutely destroying with Grandmaster bounce hawk. Super fun and crazy powerful hitting extra rocks or widows bites.
Edit: Grandmaster into beast getting triple trigers of 3 one drops has been unbelievable.
Black Bolt is so weird to me....a 5/7 and his ability is rarely more effective than just activating Stature's ability, but Black Cat is a 4/9? Bolt could use a powrr buff for sure, but i think his ability could use a tweak as well.

It's a skill issue. If you get good, then you won't be stuck in the 90s.

I’ve 100% noticed an increase in bots that just happen to have a deck that perfectly counters your deck, and these bots just happen to draw their cards, and they just happen to play it perfectly and nail every 50/50
Just all a happy coincidence that these bots are just sooooo lucky. Definitely not sus in any way, shape, or form.
I’ve looooved Grandmaster in my play this week. Went from 20k to 5k in my infinite rank just by adding him to my C3 deck. Double Valk is just too good

Do you think I should get Grandmaster or keep my keys for Galactus tomorrow?
Personally, GM is flexible and can work into a ton of decks, so I'd say that's the way to go. Galactus is definitely a unique card with a unique effect but he can't be thrown in any old deck, you have to build for him.
