Maybe because I'm fairly new in Snap but this is probably the best season of snap that I've had, the spotlight was filled with the cards that I want and there were quite a few OTA changes that shifts the meta around that makes you want to experiment with different type of playstyle throughout the month. this is also the first season that I actually got all of the featured cards of said season

I feel like Arishems play rate is really indicative of the possibility that people are a little bored with normal game play. We want draft mode haha. Arishem is like draft mode without the autonomy of picking your drafts. Arishem is a blast! Don’t even care if it’s good or what my win rate is. I haven’t had this much fun playing snap in months.

I saw my quickest retreat ever with a Legion on wakanda on turn 4. All the locations hadn't even swapped over, and the destroy player was like, "Peace, I'm out."
Mailbag: We’ve seen a lot of card adjustments lately - Discard, Move, High Evo, Annihilus, Thanos is a work in progress also. What do You feel is still left behind, forgotten and waiting for a Second Dinner attention?
this season I was really surprised at how good morph can be like, you can only get bad results if your oponent is playing destroy or discard, but by turn 3 you can already know what their deck style is, so if you dont see either of those, morph will ALWAYS give you something good, its insane, I got iron mans, infinauts, red hulks, leaders, etc

I think I played more Black Swan than I ever have before, I played hours of her with Arishem this season. Sersi is the other favorite of the season for me, such a fun card.
Heu Alex & Cozy, how do you feel about an Ajax Hela deck?? Ajax explodes after Hela drops all the -2 power big boys on the board. Could be a massive turn 6 blowout
For a new no ability card: a 0 -1 that can therefore also be used in Annihilus or for bar with no name. Because of MAGIK, it also could work to add a 7-cost no ability card.
I was in the camp of wanting to pickup Phastos. He's in a position that even if hes not good, one OTA could make him cracked (ex: snowguard, ravonna). However i got Arisham on the first key, so i still feel good about skipping for now.
I think that activate could mark the return of the original Kitty. Something like "activate: take kitty back into your hand, she gets +1 power" with maybe a +1 on base statline. It's probably copium, but a man can hope.
I feel like if Phastos made cards under 3 power -1 cost and cards over 3 power +2 power or something similar to make it so you know what's getting boosted, it would have a better place in the game
Devs commented on discord about why Arishem and High Evo work like that, the idea being they did not want them to be joined at the hip forever, so its a 50/50. I tend to agree

If you both got to coach your wives for one hour and they had to play each other with no help from either of you, what kind of decks do you think they’d play? What card do you think most fits your wife’s personality?
Mail bag; Just had an idea of a potential change to Phastos that could be really good. So hear it is: How about if Phastos took the highest power card in the deck and spread/split the power and cost among your other cards? Ability could be Activate instead? Activate to take your highest power card out of the deck and split among the rest of your deck.
I still really like phastos, I play quite a bit of him and he does what he does well, you have to play him in a tech cards style and not rely on needing him
For more vanilla cards, why not introduce a vanilla 7 and 8 cost card? With regular ramp strategies, Magik, Sersi, Blink, and Arishem in the game, there are more ways than ever to get them on the board. In a High Evo shell, they can have some sort of cost discounting. I'm thinking like an 7/14 that gets -1 cost per location containing enemy cards afflicted with negative power. An 8/18 can be discounted to 6 if High Evolutionary is in play. They can even be bundled together in the same spotlight cache (coping).
I run Doctor Octopus in my Arishem because "Stop hiding your 30 power Darkhawk from me, put it on the field so I can Shang/Enchantress it". I think Doc Ock won me more games than any other card in Arishem. To the point if Doc Ock was a 4/10 it might be a top 10 card in the game for me lol

Hey Guys. In regards to HydroBob I have to say that for me IT feels Like a House in Zoo. U can be so strategic with hin. Card feels very good. To me IT IS more than Just 2 Stars.
Mailbag: What is an underwhelming card / location effect that you think should be added to the game. I would like to see the ability to change the order of cards in play at each location.
I was playing Arishem with Thanos. I like the randomness offered and since I play only on a mobile I don't see on my screen whst cards were added to my deck. I love the random because I'm a firm believer in you should be able to win regardless of what cards you get, if you can play them correctly. True, you cannot really plan synergies but it is harder to counter a deck that starts out looking like Destroy but could actually be a move deck suddenly win as if it was a discard deck. I personally think Dark Hawk will get nerfed somewhat unless Blob can return to he depletes the entire deck again. Dark Hawk should have either a cap like Blob or a restriction such as cannot include cards added by Arishem. I think with all my matches this week, maybe 5 percent, tops, were Arishem decks. I don't know where the idea or stat came from that EVERYONE was playing him??? I loved it, even when I was losing because I like the surprise card draws and possibly getting cards I don't have or rarely use.
Alex, the way you feel about Sersi, I feel about Shadow King. I understand his strength, I find his play patterns awkward, and hard to fit into T6 curve🤷

Remember back then when Wolverine was 2/2 and they put it in discard decks claiming 0/4 is good to go on board when discarded? Now Makkari with no needed condition plays herself for free at 4 power is considered trash.... I found Makkari to be great free value. How often do you used up your hand anyway, if often then you should be playing Strongman.

I seriously don't understand the Makkari hate. She is 0/4 most of the time, with the ability to get proc'ed by Surfer. She is reverse M'Baku (which I know isn't a good card) but she goes onto your board 75% of the time. The only buff she needs is to drop from series 5 to series 4.

I think Makkari is going to be the sleeper of this month in the future, but it releasing as a series 5 killed it for me. I couldn't warrant spending tokens or keys on it. I hope so few people got it that it drops to S3 sooner rather than later, because I really wanna play this card...well not play I guess lol

That's how you know arishem is broken. He un-nerfs all the cards that had their cost increased. He has no downsides. You get fucked by your deck 1 out of 15 times, less than regular decks.
Question for you both- why does the Pandart Studio Death variant have skeletal hands and a skull, but also, quite clearly, breasts.....?! My knowledge of anatomy and physiology is enough to know that doesn't make sense.
Imagine thinking that a card that allows you to play every single card ahead of the curve isn't O.P. Arishem annoys people like me because it rewards tactics over strategy. Deck-building is no longer a valued skill because you can get more energy with a randomly built Arishem deck. It doesn't matter how much I've learned to perfect the play patterns of my deck, Arishem will just randomly give you the card that directly counters me. That skill I've learned of spotting an opponent's deck and predicting how I match up against them? It's useless because Arishem could play ANYTHING. Yes, there are counters in Darkhawk and the upcoming Cassandra Nova, but it's like back in Galactus's heyday, I dont want to feel like I'm forced to play direct counters to one particular deck all the time on the off chance I see it, because I'll likely lose without them.
I used to put angel in all my apocalypse decks just because the characters are so tied together in the lore... but eventually I stopped doing it... I still occasionally have angel in my destroy deck though
This months cards for me: Gilgamesh: Pre buff was trash. Post buff really solid card. Staple in Zoo. Solid 4 star card Thenna: Agree, best card of the month. Was in the very best deck till Arishem and they nerfed Angela because of her. Staple in Kitty decks. 5 star Sersi: Fun card, i think she goes in all Annihilus decks now on. Good surprise factor too. 3.5 for me Makkari: Much better than we think, but not a must have card at all. I like her more than Phastos for sure. 2.5 Phastos: Absolute trash card. Unplayable after turn 3 and not reliable enough even when you play it on curve. 1.5. 2 at best
Mailbag question: since on reveal has wong and ongoing has onslaught do you think activate will get something like that for the archetype and what would it look like
I skipped em all but makkari week just for gladiator/x23 even tho I don’t like playing destroy much still down the road good to have…still wondering if I should go for arishem cause I’ve always wanted blob and he’s coming up in spotlight/seems to be a staple in the deck but my main plan was to save for the move cards cause I love playing vulture/heimdal/hercules etc also need galactus tough choices but think I’ll keep saving for the big move cards coming 🔜

U guys forgot about Sersi when you gave your final 1 to 5 ranking of season cards (should have been 1 to 6)
Darkhawk is not as clear of a counter as you are making it seem, when they can play 3 blobs.

He was shoehorned in 💀 trust me I have Phastos and he's always the 12th card in the deck. Always replacable with hope or something else

Makkari: Much better than we think, but not a must have card at all. I like her more than Phastos for sure. 2.5
Phastos: Absolute trash card. Unplayable after turn 3 and not reliable enough even when you play it on curve. 1.5. 2 at best

I skipped em all but makkari week just for gladiator/x23 even tho I don’t like playing destroy much still down the road good to have…still wondering if I should go for arishem cause I’ve always wanted blob and he’s coming up in spotlight/seems to be a staple in the deck but my main plan was to save for the move cards cause I love playing vulture/heimdal/hercules etc also need galactus tough choices but think I’ll keep saving for the big move cards coming 🔜

People are way too hard on Makkari. 0/4 on turn one for example is never bad.
