  • This is outrageous! Ian from ‪@ForgottenWeapons‬ is once again mocking this superb AK setup.
    What do I have to do, win Finnish Brutality, to keep Ian quiet?

    He put in a turbo charger, spoilers, rear fin, multiple new headlamps across the front, hardened the suspension and put on racing wheels.

      It's fantastic, definitely get one with a railed receiver. I got the flat top because I wasn't sure if I'd want an optic or not. Does have a break-in period of around 350-500 rounds as well, so expect some stoppages early on too. Trigger is easy to work on if you want a less than 8lb pull too. Great rifle@@kevinfitzpatrick5949

    Hey, he can definitely handle the recoil without the muzzle break... But sometimes it's nice to just make a gun more pleasant to shoot... Sort of like how some people prefer ambi controls even if they'll never use them .. because some ambi stuff just makes a gun more pleasant...
    Tho it's fun to have a gun like a .308/762x51 beat you up a bit, no one wants to always get beat up for no reason...
    But maybe I'm wrong as to his reasoning, and I just like my guns to be pleasant
    Tho it also adds to the vibe, the drip, the aesthetics.. it says "yep, I'm an AK, You can love things about me for who I am"
    Again I could be entirely wrong... But that'd be my reasoning if I did that muzzlebreak

    • @PolenarTactical
      @PolenarTactical  10 місяців тому +3

      Good reasoning
      That muzzle brake is quite good and reduces recoil. Initially i wanted to use a Silent Steel muzzle brake that's even better but i wasnt able to time it and also keep it concentric to the bore so i ditched that idea just before going to Finland

    • @JaykPuten
      @JaykPuten 10 місяців тому

      @@PolenarTactical well, even if it wasn't the best muzzle break you could have used
      It really keeps the gun having that AK vibe/look, which is sorta important with AKs IMO
      As even at a quick glance from a distance, that muzzle break gives away it's an AK
      Which (as an American, but also a firearm owner) think is important, because from that same distance or quick glance, without it, it could be hard to recognize it's an AK without getting up close
      It's awesomely setup to show the versatility of an AK, and that they're not just 762x39 or 556, but also can do 762x51/308

      *THOUGH FOR ANYONE READING, BRING A 22LR, AND SOMEONE NEW TO THE RANGE NEXT TIME YOU GO! spread the hobby.. if it's family or a friend, n they enjoy it, a 22LR, (like a Rossi R22) is like $130, a pic rail to add is $10 for polymer, on Amazon a sling is $10 for cheap, a red dot or scope for 22LR/airsoft is $30-40ish, or $10 for those "reflex" sights that have 4 reticles n r usable on 22s n look cool to a new shooter, new mags (10 or 25 if u can find 25rnd) are $10-20 each.. a cheap bipod is $10-30 so that's $170-200 to get someone new a new 22LR rifle with all the stuff people new to the hobby would think makes their rifle tacti-cool, or maybe just funner to shoot (for them) anything left to get to $200 should go to ammo
      And *BAM* you got your Uncle/Aunt/cousin/younger sibling/friend or 18+ niece or nephew the perfect gift that everyone should own one of... Plus you can give them everything but the rifle after they prove they can use irons.. or give it all together n offer to teach them the fundamentals... Instead of spending time n more $ to buy a new console or even $60-70 games
      And how to zero equipment
      N you can say "next time... Range day is on *YOU*
      Though I appreciate you saying "not to be a genital about it" as it's kinda good to keep the firearm/2A(if n US) community welcoming to newcomers.. as we were all there.. and we need to keep n add more of us, so when something happens *cough* brace bans *cough* there's more of us that candidates for the judicial/legislative/executive branch have to care about our votes every 2-4 years
      Or just people who see our community n can't yet join, or lack the cash or just are into watching the videos UA-camrs make, n at polls think "those cool chill guys, I don't wanna mess with their freedom, as they don't mess with mine" even when I say "how many of them do you really need" they aren't arses n say "as many as I want or don't want" or realize
      "it's because of them and them using that right that ensures I can use my rights" without fear some government official with the IQ of warm water, doesn't say my religion isn't ok.. or me yelling at the police for wasting my tax money, or or I pay their salaries when they decide to break a tail light, or ask them why they'd give someone responsible for their funding a ticket instead of a warning for doing a 75 in a 70 or 55 in a "54" or me burning a flag if I ever was crazy enough to wanna do that, or however I wanna express myself" or stopping that crazy guy hurting others with something stolen, or bought, or made... They'll handle it if the people who's salaries I pay take *way* too long, or don't check if the doors open, and assume it is locked, never checking, and letting more get hurt during that time
      Or maybe I hope some will do that, be they new to the community, eventually wanna join us, or just want everyone to have their rights un-infringed
      But I'm an optimist... N have no data to prove that except a spouse who used to not understand that right If exercise n didn't wanna use it herself... She still thought of me, and you, and all of us, as being a nurse, she knows from experience what actually causes problems where people are in the hospital, and is actually smart enough to know most... 2A issues are self accomplished (like unaliving) and not person to person - though that's her experience working in Detroit for... >4 years
      Plus I'm sure the "I get a gun, she gets new shoes" agreement helps... And me not complaining about all the first aid stuff she carries in her(n adds to my)vehicle in case she can help someone with a tourniquet or blood clotting gauze and... A giant tub of medical equipment I can *NEVER* complain about
      In case I, or someone needs it at the range or certain outdoor areas that aren't "ranges" just berms built 200-309 yards away in areas without great cell coverage, n I can't complain about having to go with her to all the classes to know how to use it all
      Tho it also lets me add a blanket, water, emergency life raft food (that doesn't make you thirsty), jumping cables, a battery brick to charge phone, a am/FM/SW radio, mylar blanket and other stuff 2 people who sometimes drive in the middle of nowhere need in case of snow in, accident, getting lost w no signal, etc..

    "IT 20" is not the designation, but the import marking. The guns were imported into the EU via an importer in Italy in 2020. The country of import into the EU (as indicated by the 2 letter ISO country code) plus the year of import had to be marked on the guns. The designation is on both sides (right in Cyrillic, left in English) and says "Saiga-308-1". But this model was also offered under the designation MK-106 later on, along the MK family of rifles. With MK usually designating the full length barrels and MKK the short ones, with the numbers representing the calibers, e.g. 105 being 5.45x39 or 102 being .223. For some reason 7.62x39 was a bit weird with the full length ones being called MK-103 and the short ones MK-104 (I'm not aware of any MKK in 7.62x39).

With the latter (which already has low recoil, even slightly lower than .223), it brings it down close to the amount of recoil you get from a full size MP5. Sure there is still some movement, but it's a gentle shove and not a sharp kick. If you put on some extra weight (like a railed dust cover, AR buffer tube adapter and stock, optic etc).
