Holy shit they still got it
First off, this video is 5 years old, so no harm in standing close together. Secondly, this is the tag that got me absolutely hooked on Barbershop and still ranks in the Top 5 tags I've ever seen/heard (2nd only to Ringmasters' Notre Dame Medley). Just an absolute beast of a performance. Realtime is the best.
So, to clarify, ranks in your top TWO tags rather than top five.
3:20 wow.. John’s control on the word “I” 🤯
THANK YOU AIC I WAS BORED OUT OF MY MIND AND YOU SAVED ME WITH THIS UPLOAD ❤️
The influx of quality barbershop on UA-cam lately has really been quite nice!! I'm telling all my blues bye bye as of late...
Nice
It was nice to see these guys get some love. They’re definelty one of the more forgotten quartets and they’re so good. I’d love to see a rare video of Gotcha, Michigan Jake, Platinum, and Yesteryear.
PER!
FEC!
TION!!!!
Finally real-time has preformed again after so long
I mean the video is from 2015, just posted in 2020
@@reilandsoares7127 oh gosh darn it I didn't read the title
This is why I was hooked onto Barbershop.
and this is why they are top 10 on my all time quartet list
This is one of my favorite songs from Realtime's repertoire , one of those pieces that people can't help but launch out of their seats afterwards. The composition/arrangement leaves so many great opportunities to ring. The lyrics really build such a strong narrative, but the ending "I hear your name each time it rains" is just so bone chilling and heart breaking, I love it. Keep it coming AIC and thank you! Bravo to Realtime!
What great harmony ,ringing chords and emotional lyrics . Let's hope we never lose this great art
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this moving performance with us!
So good, the lock and ring is insane
So good
Man, these guys are sooo good!
WOW!!!!!
👏🏻brilliant
Probably my second post about this vid.. but, just love Realtime and this song!!
You wanna talk about a clinic jeez. That was incredible
Superb. Though when I first started the video I thought "ooh, they're way to close"... Sad times we live in, but made better by great singing!
This is why I love barbershop.
The chord at 3:25 is just bonkers.
O.O
This is really beautiful, but the mics pick up a bit too much bari, and I know that this isn’t the fault of Realtime, because they’re always balanced as hell
Aritosthenes me too, and I actually sing bari in my quartet, but I know that the bari isn’t supposed to over overshadow the lead
@@joetastic3594 they arnt on individual mics. the pros dont worry about bari being too loud. baris are supposed to bring it out, obviously not over the melody but still. their blend is fine
Anyone know who wrote this song?
Armando Manzanero did, who sadly passed today.
Name a better bass/baritone lock. I’ll wait.
I can’t do it. I can’t name a better bari either.
Being brothers helps with that!
I’d argue Jim and Rob Henry of Gas House Gang
Rick and Dan
@@NikoPorter They're up there for sure. BSG is my favorite quartet by far.
Nobody like them!
If your going to insult them at least spell right.
*you’re
@@andyking_90 God dang it
Fernando Rosas sorry I couldn’t resist :)
@@fernandorosas1257 i think this dude is saying there’s not a quartet like them…
