Cool to see this finally on UA-cam! Felt like this happened forever ago now… totally epic! Props to Gary for crushing it on bari, even WINNING ON BASS THAT YEAR. Freak
Jesus Christ. This is so good. A weird (in a good way) blast from the past but with some sass built in. I'll be watching this for the next fifty years if UA-cam is around, watch for my comments. Fantastic, thank you Max Q you anbsolute legends!
Like a fine wine, Max Q have grown on me as a quartet simply because they look to sing for fun and pass that on and I feel that's important to an audience.
This was the highlight of the week for me personally, because one of these lovely gentlemen gave me their ticket to the show that evening and I was delighted the whole time because of them. Their talent is only outshone by their kindness, and I'm dearly grateful 'cause of that.
I think it's hilarious how Gary Lewis won with his new quartet the next day and Tony competed with his son in his new quartet and hasn't won yet. In the words on Tony himself "So what you're saying is.... You haven't won yet?" LMAO Love these guys
Notice how my comment was made 7 months ago. Tony won with 3.5 men a little over a month ago. So by the time I made my original comment, 3.5 Men had not won yet. I understand that they just now won, but my comment still stands in the time period I made it.
I almost had a heart attack seeing a new version of this. I always watch the original video at least once a month. It’s the most epic finish of all fucking time
I'm laughing equally hard at their deliciously wicked humor and at the fact that the lyrics in this song must be completely undecipherable for the non-barbershop viewer. Delightful blast from the past performance...
Big applause for praising the 139th Street Quartet! Such an awesome quartet for so long, with so many medals. When I got their cassette tapes in college, I nearly wore them out from how good and how fun they were. 👏👏👏👏
I love how this entire performance feels like this is the first time doing this song since 07. The missed words and little stuff makes it so much better
That was probably best concert I've ever seen! Finally getting everyone back together after the pandemic years was such a rush, from the beginning to the end.
@@keithpennington8259 ah yes I'm fully aware. It's just the overal aspect of him not singing bass. The man has 3 gold medals in different parts. Legend in the field.
He was a looser for 24 hours before he FRIGGIN WON AGAIN!!!
LEAD!! LEAD!!! LEAD!!!
I AM A LOOSER
A petition to get Gary as a lead needs to be started
My guy needs a to 4-peat 😂
I can't stop finding groups that have Tony in them, the dude is everywhere
is it just me or they just got better?
Experience and practice tends to do that. They did get better, that’s how it goes.
Yeah that old performance also just wasn’t the strongest. I remember listening to it in high school and being super unimpressed after the hype

Not a loser after all!
1:53… nice Jeff
That tag was actually better than the first one.
1:54 Jeff Oxley is crazyyyyy

It's only been two weeks but I'm rewatching. They all look superb for it being 15 years later!
The baritone is my high school show choir teacher!!!! 🎉😊❤
Jeff is crushing the bass
I love how Tony always finds a way to sneak humming the next note into the long pauses
I think it’s actually pretty normal, the lead of the quartet I sing for does this as well, he is very good at it tho lol
For the love of all that is holy please dont make us wait another 10 months for more gold!!
Like a fine wine, Max Q have grown on me as a quartet simply because they look to sing for fun and pass that on and I feel that's important to an audience.
Four of the best to ever do it.

what the actual heck, this is amazing, never thought of them singing it again

Tony won with 3.5 Men this year though.

Wtf this is so much better than I thought it would be lol
The best bass Jeff Oxley … greetnings from colombia, i loved Barbershop
What a tremendous display of timeless talent. I honestly think they are 95% as good 15 yrs later.
That last 5% is always the hardest and most elusive.
Pretty good considering they didn't practice before the month of July 7th, lol
I almost had a heart attack seeing a new version of this. I always watch the original video at least once a month. It’s the most epic finish of all fucking time
Gary is now the only person to win quartet gold on three different voice parts.
In the BHS. I believe someone has definitely 3 maybe all 4 parts in SAI
I'm laughing equally hard at their deliciously wicked humor and at the fact that the lyrics in this song must be completely undecipherable for the non-barbershop viewer. Delightful blast from the past performance...
They sound like they could win again if they competed today! Incredible!
The FRISSON caused by this song…every time it happens to me.
So so 👌🏼🤌🏼

Great singing from Perry!
WOW!!! A new favorite!!
Absolutely Crushed It!
Fabulous performance! They haven't lost a step! And Gary did win that year so he's a three time champ.
On three different parts
4 if you count his collegiate win before singing with platinum
How are they still that good this many years later
Jeff's voice seems deeper than it did fifteen years ago.
😂😂
Glorious
Gary's too, lol
Cool to see him back and we’ll see more because he’s now with Clutch!
@connerrock1164 Oh, wow, really? They are medaling for sure. What happened to their original bass?
The GOATS of all time!
This was the best gift ever given to us!!!
Bloody brilliant to see these 4 back together on stage!
Why is this so good gahdam
I love how this entire performance feels like this is the first time doing this song since 07. The missed words and little stuff makes it so much better
I could watch this all day!!! This quartet is how I got introduced to barbershop and it sounds just as good as it did 16 years ago now 😉
At least once a day for me!
That was probably best concert I've ever seen! Finally getting everyone back together after the pandemic years was such a rush, from the beginning to the end.
THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! I can't believe they got together and did this
Jeff's first gold medal will be 40 years old next year
Best part of the AIC show last year. Well, except when the curtain opened at the beginning of the show.
Cool to see these guys perform this again.
I can't believe how much gray is up there 😂 man I must be getting old too
Wish I could’ve seen this live! Jaw dropping! 🔥❤️🔥 ♥️
Love them! 😃 What a performance! And then Gary went and won the next day!
Not a loser after all
Congrats to Perry!

Tone and pitch was great. I like the original recording's timing better, it felt like it walked a bit better. Amazing group, glad to have their CDs :)
It's almost weird to see Gary Lewis sing bari after a couple years of bass with quorum. Love this!
Look him up with Platinum where he sang tenor!

2007年のこの曲のパフォーマンスが大好きで、この動画を見つけた時はとても感動した。ひとつ感想を言うとすれば、Congratulations Perry!
They still got it!!!!❤😅
Oh my oh my. This has just made my day! They haven’t lost it - they are amazing and my favourite quartet. Thank you Boys xxxx
Never realized that they originally did this on 7/7/07, ironic
6:07 is an incredible gag, I screamed
Listening to you guys makes me feel like a winner always. Thanks for all the laughter. “ God bless you all 🎶 “
This is amazing
👏 👏 👏
Love Greg Clancy and Vocal Majority!
Thanks for uploading this ❤️
Gary Lewis the GOAT
Also will other videos from the 2022 AIC show be posted. I need to see the final lucky old sun from Crossroads.
Such an incredible amount of talent in Max Q, amazing how well they sound after 15 years. Loved 5:58 :)
Bravo!!!!!!
I didn't know Al Gore sang in a barbershop quartet.
I'm still waiting for nightlife's set to come out.
What fun@
I swear Jeff and Gary look like they could’ve been mobsters in another life.
2:14 Just a timestamp for myself bc I can't get over how wonderful and full his voice is.
It’s so…big!
4:50 !
I admit it. Im a sucker for Tony
15 years later and Jerry still hold that last note for 15 seconds
Jerry? I think it’s Harry
