I've been using Keyshot for 6 years now. I certainly don't consider myself a newbie, but I still learn new things even from Will Gibbons' beginner tutorials. Thanks, master!
@@WillGibbons i hope i didn't sound sarcastic but i actually respect you a lot because the amounts of skill and knowledge u have is another level.... You explain everything in such a simplified way🥹🌟
I believe you're familiar with subsurface engravings. Could you please share a tutorial on how you would approach shading subsurface engravings of 3D models within a crystal block in KeyShot?
Yeah. I did a rendering of one of those almost 10 years ago. It's pretty niche, so I'm not sure I'll do a tutorial on it. But here's what you do. Step 1. Take a model of what you want engraved. Apply an X-Ray material to it in KeyShot. Step 2. Take a cube and set its material to glass. Step 3. Place the X-Ray model inside the cube. Make sure you're in product mode and it should work as expected.
Just this one for rendering. Sorry for the confusion. I called it a series because this is the first time I've had a long video and broken it into shorter videos.
I just try to transition from Maverick render to keyshot due to 2year without updates but jewelry looks so much worse in keyshot. I think something is off with reflections
Not sure what to say. The algorithms for ray tracing in rendering tools are all pretty much the same. There are some minor differences such as default values, but in my experience, those who can light well in one tool can typically transfer their knowledge into another.
@ I did some ab testing with Maverick and keyshot with the same hdri maps. And keyshot does something strange to self reflections on gold materials. all GI ON with 64 passes etc. the self reflections don’t create any contrasting darker shades. Only washed up bright shades.
I've never used Blenderkit. I'm thinking you'd either need to export your scene as FBX (will probably need to re-create materials in KeyShot) or potentially try USD format which should bake the textures into the models.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'd like to do this. I assume you saw my video from a few weeks ago? I did one where I show how to export deformation animations from Blender. You can't do any flexing of parts in KeyShot.

Thanks, glad you're still learning new things!
God of key shot is back with another banger 🔥😊

Really beginner friendly tutorial series. I followed both the parts from start to end without scratching my head. Thanks Will for these😇❤
Sweet! Thanks for letting me know. Cheers!

You are the man!
Thank you

Please make a video how to use (blenderkit) in keyshot

Pls. Also make video on flexible material animation on key shot a watch strap and unveiling dramatic video
