Great rifle... I've had one for a couple years and like it alot...Also had a few older models over the years which ran good too but I like the welded on top rail on these later models...
I can't think a single gun that would have gotten me out there in this crappy weather!! 'Course I ain't as young and tuff as you are either!! Waiting to see the changes you'll make to this one. Keep up the good work.
Cool looking rifle. Can't wait for the weather to warm up to see what kind of accuracy you can achieve with it. It's -6° here right now so I feel your pain. Stay warm. Looking forward to more videos.
My Cetme L has the same recoil impulse as a 10/22. I know some guys say they have more recoil but roller locks seem to shoot soft. Glad to see you’re having a similar experience.
Must be nice living in a free state and not a policed state like California! If I wasn’t disabled and could move I would be gone so fast lol keep up the test videos
Just a heads up! when charging the rifle always keep it pointed down range there has been instances where it discharged when releasing the charging handle.
You can get a clip on Port buffer to keep the brass from getting large dents in the brass casing, as far as the brass goes there isn't much that you can do about the black residue left on the brass casing as you can try to tumble the brass but i've never had much luck with getting all of the residue off the brass but it doesn't hurt the brass it's just off color and I wouldn't go over 6 reloads in the brass casing, but Check each brass casing for cracks because getting a broken piece of brass out of the chamber can be a real pain in the butt Sometimes. Other than that have fun with your New G3/HK91 cetme rifle.
Dude, you are so lucky. I just bought 1 yesterday. As soon as I bought this new rifle out the box, I immediately went to the range and I was able to shoot 2 rounds. I am so pissed. Brand new gun, 2 different types of 308 ammo, the rifle was not striking the primer hard enough. I am so pissed , $700 down the drain.
A great rifle only issue i had from mine was the spings where to strong in the mag causing a few jams so i left the mags loaded for two weeks to weaken the springs and havent had a problem sense a great rifle to have and fun to shoot
Just purchased my C308. I love it so much. My wife don't like me sleeping with it or molesting it. I purchased it from Buds and they treated me well. I also purchased the mags, and 308 Winchester ammo. I haven't fired it up yet but looking forward to it. I also plan on painting mine. The internet has everything one needs to know. If only I could find away to load my camera?
The cetme has a decent amount of recoil. It is a fairly light gun with a very heavy bolt, which is why the shells eject so far... The heavy bolt I believe leads to more recoil as well.
You need to check the bolt gap before and after shooting, for maybe the first 500 rds, and then every 1,000 rds after. I had one come in today at my FFL, and I'm hoping I win the Century roulette wheel and get a good one
When I got mine I noticed how bad the polymer lower and safety was and didn't like it so I knew something would break so luckily I bought a metal receiver and safety the day after the safety broke not the plastic part the metal part😂
Let me know how accurate it is when it warms up outside, I'm wondering about the effect of not breaking it in the way they recommend. It seems tedious and unnecessary so I'm wondering if you experience any issues.
Looks good! Did you check the spent brass after firing? If the timing specs of the bolt are off you can have some premature extraction. And one of the signs is when the brass is chucked out with such force that it's dented from smacking the edge of the ejection port.
propdoctor21564 Mine didn't. But I had switched out the locking piece and rollers. Unless you are referring to the fluting that gets left from the chamber.
MatteoSixSeventyFour ,,, no not the fluting marks,, the actual dent in the side of the case... Never shot one that didn't do that... The ejection port should be a little longer to the rear and not have that small lip sticking out...
propdoctor21564 Yeah I agree. But as I said I tuned mine to stay in battery longer. I would still occasionally get a dent on the brass. But not on every single case.
Which vender did you pick yours up from? I've been oddly obsessed with this rifle, but I keep hearing they're a mixed bag. Some are great, some are garbage.
Their reputation is accurate. They're great rifles regardless if they need work out of the box. I however, didn't get so lucky. I haven't taken mine apart yet because I'm still a little irritated about it but my problem child takes about 20-30 lbs. to work the action, it's ridiculous and impractical. I'm hoping it's an easy fix and I don't need to send it to the manufacturer. It's free under warranty but I'll have to piss away money for shipping and paying for a transfer fee and another background check T-T
Yes, currently with PTR receiver. I just heard my FFL has mine in, it will be a shooter. Cetme parts kits are cheap, buy one for spare parts before they dry up
Got one for $499 from Preppersgunshop.com, only mine is a problem child out of the box. I haven't taken it apart yet because I'm still a little sour about it but for some reason the action is really hard to work, like it takes at least 20-30 lbs. to pull the charging handle back, it's completely unrealistic for even range time, let alone if I actually needed it in a pinch. Good thing I've got other toys that work without turning into a workout XD.
Blaine Smith Preppers ships super fast. You got a great price at $499. I paid $580. I've only fired 3 magazines and that was a quick $35. My action is really stiff as well. I hope you get your rifle running smooth.
Richard Kimble I finally took her apart and cleaned the hell out of her a couple weeks ago. She's oiled up, cleaned and the action isn't impossibly hard to work anymore, still stiff and from what I've read they're supposed to be but not like it was. I can operate it from the firing position now and no longer have to "mortar" it on the floor. Just have to buy some ammo and make it to the range to break her in, that barrel was nasty, I'd never put whatever grease they had in it near any firearm, it took probably 30-40 patches through before I got a white patch and that was after taking the bore brush to it about 20 times and soaking it in Dawn dish soap and scalding water in the bathtub lol.
In a few years when the CETME parts purchased century run out we will all be talking about how cheap Mosin's, SKS's & C308's were. I bought 3 of them cost averaged $650 each. Smoke-in -deal on such a battle rifle.

looks like a good time. Going to look at one tomorrow! Add one to my SKS, AK and AR!
Awesome to see another Hoosier UA-camr.
Mine should deliver this coming Friday. Great video Nolan. Thanks!
Good looking rifle! Ready to see the mods you do to it.
It's lovely weather for some range time together with......oh, crap, my trigger finger snapped off!
My Cetme L has the same recoil impulse as a 10/22. I know some guys say they have more recoil but roller locks seem to shoot soft. Glad to see you’re having a similar experience.
Roller delayed, not roller locked.
Looks like she is running good....Good stuff....
Mine is a 1978 HK91 it has never jammed. It's an amazing rifle.
I really like that rifle. Good video bud
Must be nice living in a free state and not a policed state like California! If I wasn’t disabled and could move I would be gone so fast lol keep up the test videos
Looks Nice Brother! Carry On
Awesome extraction due to the fluted chamber
Just a heads up! when charging the rifle always keep it pointed down range there has been instances where it discharged when releasing the charging handle.
Interesting to see smoke and heat escape through the cocking/bolt carrier tube.
Mine is one of the earliest to be delivered. Its a keeper. I love it.

Got to love all the steam coming off the barrel!! lol.
Happiness is a smokng gun
Very cool gun! But you looked frozen. Great video.

Been thinking about getting one myself. nice rifle
Like a champ!

Nice. I hope I can find one of these sometime this year. For the price, it's hard to beat for a semi auto .308 rifle.
Arsenal 616 check budsguns.com he has cetme and PTR rifles. Good prices too
Your MB is DEFINETLY helping you, believe me.
I couldn't even see the brass leaving. That action is quick.

Nice Nolan!
What kind of ammo were you shooting?
Also i have a c308 and love it. My only complaint is the trigger but other than that its amazing

Great looking rifle Nolan!
thank you. i just subbed.
It should work great in the cold, Norway and Sweden used it as their main battle rifle for years.

Check those sights! Mine are an easy foot to the left at 25 feet.
When I got mine I noticed how bad the polymer lower and safety was and didn't like it so I knew something would break so luckily I bought a metal receiver and safety the day after the safety broke not the plastic part the metal part😂

MatteoSixSeventyFour ,,, I've never seen Cetme pattern rifle that did'nt dent the empty cases...
propdoctor21564 Mine didn't. But I had switched out the locking piece and rollers. Unless you are referring to the fluting that gets left from the chamber.

Does your gun shop have more of those magazines? :) :D ;)
Spanish CETME operating in the frozen tundra. Hehehe...
Schmokin'! 👍
What kind of mags did you say they are again?
Shoots frozen 308 well!
Which vender did you pick yours up from? I've been oddly obsessed with this rifle, but I keep hearing they're a mixed bag. Some are great, some are garbage.
I bought it from my LGS, Shots & Shells, LLC
Classic Firearms for mine 😎

Do they still make those rifles? I've been looking for one lately but I couldn't find any
Try Classicfirearms.com
That's where i ordered my Century Arms C308
Isnt the Century C308 actually a CETME CLONE??
CLplusP it is made with new receiver and barrel but surplus cetme parts.
Yes, currently with PTR receiver. I just heard my FFL has mine in, it will be a shooter. Cetme parts kits are cheap, buy one for spare parts before they dry up
That’s not a cetme! That’s a century c308. Cheapest of all the cetme and hk91 clones...
@@davidjordan8093 cheap junk
Looking to get a C308 and a RAS47 maybe a C39
RAS47 and C39 are considered the worst AKs
oh, are you freezing? i didnt hear you.

Cetmes are a hit or miss. Mine was and is a miss after plenty of parts exchange, cleaning flutes ECT ect ECT. I would stay far away
How much did it cost and was it new?
Yes it was purchased new and it was $535 if I remember correctly
I just got ripped at cabelas for 700$ new. actually 695.plus tax. Not a great deal but in this area it was the only one I found for sale.

CETME?? no, bad copy of CETME.
