Have you bothered to look at your extractor spring? My PTR did the same thing. Took cheap American spring out put in a German spring. No further problems.
Mine was jamming after EVERY shot. It would fail to eject the spent casing. The bolt would try to ram the spent casing back into the chamber along with the next round from the magazine. I just found the problem. The pivot pin that holds ejector bar in the trigger group is MIA. Only a spring is holding the bar in place. There is no way Century ever test fired this rifle. It has never went past the first shot and now I know why. Hopefully they will send the missing pin without requiring me to send the entire rifle back.
In manual says your supposed to clean bore etc after every shot for first 10 rounds. Then same thing after every 20-30. After 200 rounds your good to go
@@maxmt4325 Mine was a bad lower receiver assembly. The trigger pack was sitting about 1/16" too low and the metal tab that flings the spent casing out was not high enough to do its job. The bolt would try to ram the spent casing back into the chamber. Century sent a replacement and it has worked flawlessly since.
Love this rifle Mine is a Century/PTR Cetme C308 Sporter. Its actually done quite well. Fit and finish is Great! Its accurate and reliable. I've taken over a dozen hogs and a couple white tails with it so far. Around 2,500 rounds in 2 years. Only issue was a magazine with a weak spring and sticky follower. Got mine for $650 With Bayonet. Had to replace the muzzle break to a PTR Bird Cage so the bayonet would mount snug. This thing eats anything, Steel, Surplus, Modern. Just keep it Clean. It gets very dirty very fast but will keep running. 500 rounds in 4 hours at the range and when I tore her down it was filthy!!! On a 2 day hunt, under 20 rounds fired and it was still pretty dirty. Easy to clean though. No Name Ammo has Cheap 308 steel case I just picked up. Anyway Great Video Brother!!!
From the video it appears to be running too dry. Mine was hard to put into battery at first until it field stripped it, thoroughly cleaned and lubricated it. It likes to run wet like an AR. Now it chambers very easily. I have run approx. 600 rounds through it with no malfunctions. Even using the cheap Brown Bear ammo.
I am having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. It is pissing me off too. Will fire a round and not cycle properly. I have to manually eject the spent casing. I've switched mags. I don't know what to do.
Read the manual. Says your supposed to clean bore etc after every round for first 10 rounds. Then after every 20-30 rounds. Then after 200 your good to go
Almost bought one from Academy but when the rear sight wouldn't roll I handed it back. Then bought a DPMS Sportical for the same price. 40 rnds. so far. No problems. No regrets. Had to accessorize scope, mags. ect.
My 1st 20 round no issues(then cleaned it with froglube) for the first outing, now the 2nd outing the 2nd ever mag was a 5 rounder but the last round wedged the last round funny and shoved the bullet into the housing. But 2 more 20 rounders after that it worked fine and with high accuracy surprisingly yesterday. I'm going to hopefully shoot 150 more rounds or so before the hunting season very soon.
Ru Su Yeah I'm hoping now that I completely stripped it and cleaned it. I won't have any issues the next time I take it shooting. The magazine well on my c308 is atrocious. You have any trouble inserting and getting your magazines out?
The chamber is too tight or the chamber flutes are incorrectly cut. I can tell by the force you have to use to pull the charging handle when it jams. There should be flute marks on the fired casings. Check the bolt gap after you clean it thoroughly. Specs between .010 and .020 are in the ballpark. Clean the chamber thoroughly and maybe try steel cased ammo during break in. The bolt group should be lubed up too.
This is why I love PTR's. I got my PTR-91 drenched in lubricant from the factory. All I had to do was add my own in some small areas of importance, wipe off the excess and I was ready to go.
If your feeler gauge is in .mm it's between . 312 and .5.....also according to a sales rep for PTR HK clone depo says that after brake in, their like an AK which likes to run dry and a little dirty
This looks like a mag problem, try different mags, probably an old spring in the magazine. I have shot between 400-500 rounds with zero malfunctions. One thing I did before ever firing was completely disassemble and lube with CLP,also lube the tube the charging handle slides in, mine was so stiff it almost took 2 hands.

Digging that tripple feed it's a new feature from century for burst mode 😂

So after it's broken it's ok? Or garbage?
Try using steel case ammo the brass in this gun will expand too much in the chamber due to the fluted chamber.
Try different mags and don’t hold it by the magwell. Could be why it’s not feeding right.

Second Path these are built by PTR though who is known for quality guns. My guess is this has something to do with the locking piece and rollers.
Did you get this fixed or figured out?
I think its your tacticool gloves and glasses jamming it
Mechanix gloves are tactical now?
there actually pretty necessary for these guns when they're new

What's the standard rule about shooting into water?? Makes everything he does/says questionable

Have to lubricate grease or oil the rollers and bolt.
watching this video left a very deep and long lasting feeling of satisfaction...that's a very nice bolt action rifle
I had a similar issue with my PTR. They replaced the bolt head and charging handle. I had it back in two weeks.
Needs smaller rollers
Its that mag
clean it,oil it,get back to me....
Actually a good PTR like to run dry and dirty surprisingly enough
I think your rifle wants to be a bolt action rifle.
Hmm.... I think I'll run my car without oil to save money.
