- Last year I did Uber Eats by bicycle for the first time in Melbourne, Australia. But my first delivery was really worst because it was located to a huge mall and I didn't know how to find the way. Uber Eats didn't calculate correctly that it was not worth to delivery. After this order, I decided that I will never accept the order from the mall. Anyway it was fun as like playing game.

I'm one of them usually Google maps would navigate me and it get me in the wrong restaurant or wrong house that's why I go to the Uber app to see where I when I arrived at the location.
Hi Jin, every time I watch your video and think about what you have done and are still doing, I cannot help but be amazed. I don't know you can be updated, find a job, edit and post videos, etc all while on riding your bicycle around the world. I had anxiety myself, but after a while it eased up and I was quickly agitated by the fact my orders were on average 10 miles away or in completely different towns.. I did this on a regular bike.
GPS is bad too!

hahaha ... we have all BEEN THERE and feel you ! Sometimes these order pay the best! Once I had to climb the biggest ever hill in the town ( Seattle ) which took me 20ish minutes and I got tipped $49 , which is worth it : ) ... in such situation the mindset is really important !!!

작년에 호주 멜버른에서 우버이츠를 처음으로 했는데 완전 악몽의 순간이었네요. 우버이츠가 지도를 제대로 안 보여줘서 쇼핑몰인줄도 모르고 한참 헤메고, 쇼핑몰이 너무 커서 헤메고, 쇼핑몰 안에 에스컬레이터도 막히고 문도 막히고 뭐 이거 어쩌라는건지 대환장 파티였네요. 무엇보다 우버이츠가 쇼핑몰 안에서 걷는 시간을 제대로 계산을 안 해줘서 이건 너무나도 큰 손해인지라 다음부턴 절대 쇼핑몰 물건은 안 받기로 결심했습니다. 어쨌든 배달일 앱으로 해보니까 게임하는 거 같아서 재밌기도 하네요.

You poor thing... That can be so frustrating but luckily you learn where things are eventually and you can also call restaurants too.
Hey Jin, good to see you are broadcasting again to the world! That job looked a nightmare. It’s always the same when someone sets foot in those crazy shopping malls for the first time. And you were lucky to get out at all. I would have given up, found a quiet corner and just eaten the food, haha.
It was the first time that I didn't know what's going on. For that 30 minutes, I earn like $5.. hahahahaha..
This what happened to me as well here in South Africa 🇿🇦 Cape Town when I turned 10 times to the house of the customer but still couldn’t find the house number 😂sorry bruh😭😭

that was me during the first month as a food courier
i deliver in germany and whenever I got orders from restaurants in big shopping malls, I used to get annoyed and stressed
but now i know most of the restaurants and if i don't, i try to stay relaxed because i'm like "It's just food, no one will die if it doesn't arrive on time"

Lol. I remember my first day too. If someone wanna try doing ubereats, its better if u get to know the entrance and the shops in big malls so that you won’t get lost like this. Or, just do deliveries in a suburb or something
Yep same first order anxiety like hell and not the mention my first delivery I didn't receive the whole order and had to go back and get the rest lol. But the thankfully the guy that order it was really nice😁

I did my first Uber eats the other day from Mcdonalds, I was very nervous. Double order, staff were very busy and stressed. Kinda put me off picking up mcdonalds, but am going to give it another go.
I'd picked up a just eat run the day before which was a breeze. I'll be using them too.
Mcdonalds were quite slow at the area I did delivery that I didn't like them. haha
OMG I accepted my first delivery today, thought I’d just do one and go home as its my first day lol so I accepted it on the app. Went to where it says the restaurant is but that place was empty IDK wtf was going on and it started raining with big rocks and I got wet so I ran to home with my bike and I was shivering from the rain and saw the restaurant called like 10 times and then I cancelled the order. 😬 hope uber won’t block me.

I work as a domiciliary and it is normal that when you do not know the shopping center that happens to you, but then over time it is just routine. On my first day a torrential rain fell. 🙂
nah I think it depends. I always thought shopping mall is not worth as too much waste of time for walking and parking comparing to pick up just in front of the street store. I always cancelled the order from shopping mall although I knew where the shop was. Probably you are pro delivery :)

I'm sure what the reason is but whenever I work in that area I always have trouble finding things. I always seem to get lost!

1. Know your area, know your city.
2. Shopping Malls, usually I know where those restaurants are, so like I said, work areas you know.
3. Work in hot zones, strips where there are a lot of brick and mortar restaurants down one road.
Where I live, there's a massive medical center, and TONS of apartment complexes, down that one strip there are crazy amounts of restaurants, so I never had many problems. The med center can get really confusing tho.
If I get called to another part of the city, I make sure I know that area too.
Later towards the end of my day, I usually get called to areas I don't work, but I know the area really well, so I'll take those orders.

I have experience same problem in WA. The Uber Apps shown me pick up point in the middle of freeway 😓😓😓. Not just that, and next my drop-point were wrong🚽...
At the end, I'd received 👎 and uncomfortable words from customers such as "you're useless" and even "fxxx you" because of late delivery.

You know what some people end up doing when they can't find a address and can't contact the customer they end up eating the food. That's what's great about these food delivery apps you get to eat free food paid by customers. Doordash and Ubereats will still pay you for putting the effort cause you are using your own gas, your own time and wearing yo car if you use a car. These customers don't understand that.
Ahahahhaha!! I do Uber eats myself and remember my first delivery as my own personal hell. 45 minute delivery and I made $3 Canadian.
And I don’t do the mall drop offs anymore, either lol.

It was day first that I didn't have a mount. haha. Now I am having a really good mount. I found it was not good money. But it was good to work at the time I want. haha.
@@universewithme I only ride at peak times when the money is the best. I can usually make $20-25 Canadian an hour, riding moderately, if I stick to the peak hours bc they pay the most. I wouldn’t want to make a living doing it, tho, but, it is a lot of fun. Good luck!
Well my ubereats first day was quite good $35 . 😂 but on second day after getting the food from the restaurant my bicycle tire gone flat and that's the day on second just $7 .🤣
I guess it depends on the day and if you combine all together, then it's not worth money per hour. But not sure how it is now after Covid19.
@@universewithme New update at after the Covid situation nowadays from food delivery app I'm making $1100 - 1200 nowadays working 35- 40 hours making the hourly pay $28- 30 per hour.

Terrible but kinda funny too. We all have crappy days like that when nothing goes right.
At least a customer was not angry at me and he didn't give me 1 star. When I am upset by some customer service, I think of him that we need to accept someone's mistake sometimes. But not easy.. though.. haha.. imagine you are hungry but your food comes after one hour and cold and soggy.. but you paid like $20! haha.. I respected my cusotmer.

Oh gps how I love and hate you at the same time. I know my market like the back of my hand now to the point where I just laugh when the gps tries to send me to a dead end or when it tries sending me to the only transponder gate. I go to the main gate immediately when I see where it’s taking me I have to shut my Bluetooth off sometimes because all I hear is turn here turn here turn here up ahead make a legal u turn up ahead make a legal u turn continue and turn left like no I know where I’m going you obviously do not.
Should of just canceled in first place
The double deliveries gave me anxiety and I had to call aupport
I accepted a few times at the beginning, and I found it's too bad for the customer and I got also bad rate one time for it. So I never accepted double deliveries later.
@@universewithme that is the only bad review I got was the double delivery. The idiot gave me a one when it was my 2nd day and he was so pissed. He was your typical cry baby, even though I told him I am new and he didn't care. The guy was so entitled too. He whined that his meal was cold too.
