Another great video! I just started delivering this past weekend after watching your other videos, and it got me riding to all new places around my city. It's a really great way to spend your time on a bike and give purpose to your ride. Much more motivating then riding the same routes, and the whole making money part isn't bad either! Keep it up, hope you get in at least a few more weeks of riding before winter!
As a Nigerian seeing you going to deliver from a Nigerian resturant made my day.. also as an Uber eats bicycle rider In Toronto this made my day! Keep making these vids man!
hey from the uk! we've got the same bag! I just started so it's good to know it lasted you a couple years. I own an electric bike and it really helps with the hills we have round here, still a single speed and still a workout though :)
Awesome video! I noticed that in my market the most busy hours are lunch and dinner hours which is 11am - 2pm for lunch and 5pm - 9pm for dinner so doing a 9-5 shift over here wouldn’t go as well
I needed to make my car note to avoid falling behind after losing my job , I made $687 in 24 hours It was a weekend and the gov started rolling out tax refunds , I was so stoked I haven’t been online since. But I just built a bike for deliveries & can’t wait to get back out there.
Wow, the production value is quite impressive. Even better finding out you're Canadian (like me!) I appreciate the demonstrations and the edits. I plan on delivering with my bike as well. Questions for ya, do you leave your bike locked nearby restaurants or destinations, and if so - where do you store your lock when you've picked up an Order? I purchased a separate lock for when I start delivering, and I guess I'll store it inside of the Uber Eats bag? Great idea with the blanket, seems to add some cushioning, although might add to the weight of the bag, especially when riding a bike which in your case, appears to be a standard road bike and not an e-bike like many Uber Eats cyclists use. A bit uneasy about brining my bike inside of the apartment and elevators, but we'll see if I run into those issues once I start Ubering! :)
Hey Jaden! Thanks for watching / commenting. Stoked for you to start delivering soon. To answer your questions - when I have to leave my bike outside, I lock it as close as I can to that building. And when I am delivering, I keep the food on the bottom, then the blanket, then the lock on top to weigh it down. It all adds weight but your legs get used to it - it's really not that heavy tbh. And yea - I like to bring my bike inside sometimes. I'd rather carry it up stairs or wait for the next elevator than be panicking that it will get stolen. All depends on the area you're delivering in and how much you trust your bike won't get stolen :)
What kind of blanket is that? Do you use it to help insulate the food to keep it warm and keep everything in place so it doesn't shake as much? Thanks!
No special kind of blanket. Just an old one we use to use on the couch haha. I use it mainly to minimize how much the food/drinks move around in my bag like you said! Some people use insulated blankets to help with temperature regulation but I don't bother.
@@singlespeedeats745ohhhh, okay lol, that was a good idea. thank you for letting me know! Yeah, I think it's a better idea to mainly use it to keep everything in place. I'm sure the bag itself helps with temperature. Thanks again! Have a great one!
Loved your content bro. Have you ever been to Gaitneu for deliveries, are there enough orders when taking Ottawa and Gatineau as a whole? I am planning to study in Algonquin next year and have planned to do part-time uber eats on e-bike. One more question is Ottawa safe during dark hours for Uber eats?
Thank you man! I have never delivered In Gatineau before but Downtown Ottawa is not far away - just across the river. But there are lots of orders in Ottawa to make some good money. And yes - Ottawa is safe after dark - the byword market can be sketchy at times but as long as you keep moving and lock your bike properly, you will be good!
Thanks for watching! Yeah i use the blanket/towel to keep stuff in place while it's in my bag during riding. Less chance of it moving around/falling over
What do you do to maximize the number of delivery requests you receive when the uber eats app prioritizes deliveries done in a car over deliveries done on a bicycle? Is there anything you can do to level the playing field with vehicles?
Hey serious question do you know if I can get hired without a valid driver's license. I have a learner's permit. I'll get a regular state 🆔🪪 if I have to.
@@singlespeedeats745 wow, that's a lot of mileage..lol.. thinking about doing UberEATS on bike myself, thanks for the feedback..great content by the way!👍
@singlespeedeats745 gotcha thanks for the reply I currently have a 8 speed folding bike great handling but medium top speed but been considering starting to do deliveries
u can't be serious it's not easy work. To be honest it is quite easy, i've been doing food delivery now for almost 2 years here in Copenhagen where I live, I work for a company based in Finland (their also located in different countries such as Japan, Germany, Israel, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Georgia, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.) called Wolt where they have the same system as uber eats where u can go on and off when u want and I also bike around and to be honest its not that difficult, u don't need some special education / degree to do this job, any idiot can do what we do it's not that hard, sure their are times when nothing much happens i agree then again it's like that with most jobs not only food delivery but also working as a waiter at a restaurant, working at a retail store selling clothes, shoes, watches etc etc... their are time when customers won't go into the store to buy anything or just walk around and leave again so yea theirs that aspect of it being dead at time. All i'm saying is working in this business yes it's tough, requires lots of energy to bike around long hours and kilometers but other than that the work is really easy. As i mentioned before any idiot can ride a bike, use a smartphone so it's not like it's the most difficult job in the world.
No gloves? I tried 3 days with uber on my ebike and it kicked my ass. Its a young man's game. It also routed my wierd send me to inefficient routes having to backtrack. Also why wear the helmet without strapping it?
lol, I live in Brazil and almost all days I do around 50/60km of base training on my gravel. I started wondering if instead do that only for fitness purposes, I could do too to make an extra money. It seems like you use a fixie. Not too much hills in your city I guess?
Dude 60km!!😂 Legend. I love the editing- four screen/ four orders at a time was a cool shot. Nice on the fly bag repair. Will you wear it till it dies midride? Any guesses on what the order will be when the bag finally fails? McFlurries everywhere!!!!😂 Also, new bar tape? 🎉
😂 McFlurrie's.. it will definitely be a big bag full of Starbucks coffee. I'm in the habit of picking the bag up with the crappy strap so it'll go eventually. No new tape. It's held up at Santa's workshop.
Can't believe, taking very low pay orders, 5 bucks if and accident, cost from 3 to 50 thousand or more if surgery or hospitalization needed it is just not worth it. Is people desperate for money or they just don't know what are the doing?

I hate these restaurants sealing coffee in the bag because I like to put my lid tape on the cups so no spills

Great vid, Does the seating position of a road bike cause problems? Your more hunched over than an e bike. spilled drinks ?
Thanks! Rarely the drinks spill because I use the blanket to wrap them/suppress them in the bag.

how's it using a road bike? Ive seen most use ebikes for the speed and ease
