Joan Crawford was an avid collector of Margaret Keane's "sad eyes" paintings and befriended the couple and tried to incorporate their work into her films. In the film, during the interior scenes of the neighbor's (Mrs. Bates) house, several Keene paintings can be seen displayed on the walls
This movie is funny, and serious, she damn near shoved her out the door, helping her with her jacket , that's why Elvira was a little suspicious, but grateful at the same time, Jane was masterful to come up with the apology, and doing her work, and then top with icing by paying her, smart and yet so sick at the same time, definitely Oscar performance.
talking about "serious," that what you are about this film, what's with all that analyzing babble you are going on about? just enjoy the film for fuck sake.
Greg Rak maybe that’s how they enjoy the film. Maybe calm down and mind your own business. I’m sorry that small, Very Small, paragraph was too much for your mind to cope with. Stop telling people how to enjoy things. They made a simple **Observation**, oh gatekeeper of cinema.
0:46 - Elvira to Jane "See you next Tuesday, then" - boy, she hit the nail on the head there - and Jane hit her in the head later on🤣🤣🤣 THIS is a fabulous movie!
All of that darn mess was their father's fault. Because for one thing he favored one daughter over the other & that just wasn't right. He should loved & praised both of his daughters equally. It was all his doggone fault. Blanche actually felt out because of him.
Bette Davis was like Sister Dearest in that picture.
Do you know what really happened to baby Jane ? Blanche was the villain.

She was Crawford's maid in Torch Song.
BYE! (Jane thinking to herself) Now, with Elvira out of the way, I'm gonna catch me a big 'ol rat for Blanche's lunch.
