Exactly. Im 25 and my musoc preference is mainly 60s and 70s rock. Most people my age aren't that into it. But tons of my friends who typically prefer hip-hop and such really like GVF. I am sooooo hoping that these guys can be a catalyst in the revival of rock! Of course there are always great new rock bands coming out, bit to see it made one of the most popular genres again would be awesome.
The BEAUTY of these kids IS they are apparently CROSS generational with their sound! They are attracting YOUNG teens and adults BACK to classic sounding rock, but are ALSO attracting OLDER rock fans like myself from 40-60 y/o because of their classic rock sound, with strains OF Zepp, Slade, KISS, Humble Pie and Janis!
Anyone talking these guys down must not understand that they are buzzing right now amongst the entire industry and about to finally create a proper rock revival - just wait till their album drops this year.
You can't "revive rock" by playing music that sounds exactly like the rock that was popular in the 70s. Unless you're banking on nostalgia. You need innovation. Someone would need to reinvent rock to revive it back to the mainstream. Think what Nirvana did in the 90s. These guys are for sure talented and have a good amount of buzz, but that is only because they sound very similar to Led Zeppelin. Why do you think they're going to bring rock back to the mainstream?
First off, Led Zeppelin is above all my top band of all time - but you have to understand that they took a majority of what was before them, changed it, and made history. Nothing is ever 100% original - and all the boys of GVF are under 22 years old, so going right off of their upcoming album - which they've said is not just "Zeppelin" - they are going to become a massive name. Sure Zeppelin helps their sound, but they aren't writing the songs for them. Either enjoy the rebirth of good rock music again, or just be bitter I guess.

I am really hoping that this band can be a catalyst for the revival of real rock music!
My friend just showed me this band last night, and maybe its because i was high; but this genuinely moved my soul. Like that guitar solo on its own, its as as if i was listening to Jimmy Page. My god these guys are gonna be huge.
Hopefully people will protect this guy's voice and make sure that he warms up properly and recover after shows. We don't want what happened to plant after 1971 happen to this guy
David Lecours Robert plant was a heavy smoker, drinker and drug user. If this kid stays away from that shit and properly treats hisbthroat before and after every show, he'll be ok
He's got the flu at the moment and is canceling some shows in Europe. Management is working them so hard right now because they're HOT, but they need a good long break. They are young, but overworked is still overworked.
Timberwolf69 they actually mentioned in an interview that they haven’t had any training and they’re self-taught. I do hope that they protect his voice. They currently rescheduled their European tour so he can recover from an upper respiratory infection. I stopped listening to rock for the longest and just kept listening to 60s through 90s rock and am SO glad these guys came out! They’re amazing! Truly talented!
I was already impressed with these guys prior to this explosion. Very nice! There will always be haters everyone. Mostly from jealous wannabe's. Rock on boys. You found your calling, and you definitely have what it takes. . .
Right on. First time I heard these guys a month ago my jaw dropped. I am still amazed. Anyone who plays guitar or has been in band can’t help but be in awe. Great players and so tight even during the jams.
They are great! Every band is inspired by the prévious ones.... even led zeppelin was inspired by their idols. All I know is that their músic makes me feel good!
well led zeppelin were true artists, even though they were inspired by some idols, their music were unique and not as similar as greta va fleet does, so similar to ledd
Obviously it's meant to have the basic Led Z. sound but all of their songs are new compositions. What's wrong with new songs written in an old style? If you Like L.Z. then why wouldn't you want a bunch more of those type of songs especially since they are performed by really great talents.
Zeppelin was amazing but they borrowed a lot of music. Stairway to Heaven was written and performed by a band called Spirit first. Zeppelin also re-wrote many artists such as Muddy Waters
For those saying that GVF needs to reinvent the rock scene instead of sounding like Zeppelin forget that voices with the range of Robert Plant and Josh Kiszka are meant to sing these type of powerhouse vocals. They were both blessed with similar vocal pipes and range, hence the similarities. Josh's voice best suits this style of singing as did Plant's. It would really be a waste and a shame to expect him to sing any other way. Please, just enjoy the music and talent!

@@threalismaradona9899 Actually, the only thing that sounds like LedZepp is the voice and some guitar riffs. The rest is a mix of Rush, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, old blues, The Who and a lot of 70's rockbands.

Consider I lived through the British invasion and listened to the birth and development of the biggest bands ever to blaze trails into all our lives. What is cool is that Led Zeppelin rose to fame at a time when the world was ready for them and they were not hindered with familiarity and saturation of the genera they would eventually posses , in other words they were not hindered by some of the hurdles GVF has had to overcome , all this music has been done before and done to death for decades , the fact that these guys are catching on so quickly despite that, is testament to just how talented they are , the cohesiveness of their sound the lyrics melodies tempo timing beat inflections and blazing stunningly unique vocals by Josh are what make GVF able to bulldoze through a jaded audience deadened by decades of musical mediocrity and ignite the excitement in people garnishing reactions such as the ones on this blog, to simply say as some have that GVF is reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and that is their appeal is crushingly marginalizing, These guys are on fire and I cant wait to hear what comes next. How can you criticize this? The fact that some young kids took inspiration from Led Zeppelin' in their music is already a great thing to me. Specially in these dark autotune days we are living.
I'm 59 and I love these kids, they have balls choosing this path, so pure, so raw energy, so r&r. Just like the old days. Best thing i've heard since the big 70s/80s bands
First time i heard their name . I honestly thought it was a band from back in the day. It just has legendary ring to it. I can totally imagine (coming to the whiskey ... Lynyrd Skynyrd with opening act Greta Van fleet.) Then toss in their talent, sound, appearance and stage presence. Every video is like a time machine! Its wonderful
Absolutely love this song. (Joshes voice is amazing, particularly how he carries his notes. Jakes guitar solo is so entertaining, love the harmonica sound & how he plays behind his head. The bass performance from Sam is so strong. And Danny's drums are slammin') They perform this live like Rock Gods. Also a big fan of the next song they Segway into during their set, When Cold Wind Blows...both excellent.
When I first heard Greta Van Fleet my hair stood up a little and it was nicely strange. I'm so excited about them because I had assumed music with this sound was over. Hope to hear new stuff from them for years to come.
their very best version of this song. the voice is great but just wait for the guitar solo and heavy drums at the end. You are in for a treat my friend. sit back for the ride.
Can you imagine how many bands over the past 40 years have tried to do this and failed, but here these guys nail it?! Bravo and kudos to the men of Greta Van Fleet!
Hands down the greatest guitar rip in human history and probably the best live show ever and we all in 50 years wished we where there, because this set will be known for the next 200 years!!! DAAAAAAAAAAMMMN
i Dont care what anyone says this guys voice is fucking amazing and i give massive credit to the amazing drummer and the guitar in this song is legendary. the way the singer can adjust his voice from high to low is far from amazing and his work is better if not the same as some of the older rock bands that took the world by storm. So happy to see a great rock band return and this just shows pure talent no auto tune, no electronic computer shit just pure instruments and 1 amazing voice
Now that's how a solo is supposed to sound! I was already a big fan but they're really stepping it up into the big time. Those vocal chords need looking after too!
You just don't expect this kind of musical maturity at such an age. This is impressive. The singer's stage presence, that guitar, the drums, bass, everything is where it needs to be. These guys are "incendiary", and a true hope and proof that the rock'n'roll spirit is still alive and well. My only hope is that they'll keep going, and that fame, which is inevitable, will not tear this true gem of a band apart. ✌️️
I accepted the fact that all my favourite bands have allready quit or will quit in the near future... untill these guys came along. Four songs and I have become a big fan. There is hope for me (and others) yet. Rock on GVF !
Went to 2 of their shows and mind blown both times.Love these Michigan boys like they were my own.Thank you Greta for putting Rock and Roll back on the map!
I got love in my heart for this band. Young musicians playing their own instruments and rocking out. No autotune, just real rock music. Finally! Been waiting for GVF,
A fantastic new band. Heavily influenced Led Zep sound but who cares. Zep aren't around to write new stuff so hats off to GVF. Give these boys credit for being bold and bloody awesome
Can we all just agree? Okay, they aren't REINVENTING the wheel here... Yes, they clearly have been influenced by rock bands from days gone by...... so what? GOOD FOR THEM! This is the kind of real music we need again. They write their own songs, have serious musical talent, and the vocals are really pure and raw..... That, my friends, is what makes great rock music.... Love this band, and I'm 53 years old..... Keep going, guys!!!
i love the lyrics and melody--the whole song is just beautifully haunting! Im 49 btw. love trying to sing along with Josh--but I cant hit those high notes!
I'm from Flint. MI. just a half mile from Frankenmuth. damn proud to have these musicians from my area. ITS ABOUT TIME THIS YOUNGER GENERATION STARTED ROCKIN!!!
These guys will become on of the top acts on the planet. Like a young WHO, AC DC, Stones ...Yes, they emulate the Zeppelin style, but it will evolve. More importantly, their roots and fundamentals in Blues, and the vocal range will stun
This is pure talent at it's finest. To be able to play like this is so difficult!! Especially when done live. This performance was memorizing!! Josh's vocals and Jake's guitar solo are a match made in heaven. I'm so excited to see them this summer!! 💚💚💚
for over 50 years many singers have tried to sing as a Plant, Josh has this gift, why criticize it? The voice and the vocal extension is by josh, leave it alone. They are very good, I love them
Well, I mean, he does not Copy Plant. This is """Greta van Fleet""" with new - fresh Musik. Please , no jealousy, just enjoy it. Greetings from Hamburg
I was at the gym when I decided to take off my headphones because they were bugging me a bit. All of a sudden I heard something on the speakers that appealed to my ears, which is rare because all they play is shit. It was this band. I’m so glad I decided to do what I did because that was the first and last time I heard any of their stuff played at gym. I’m more of a punk girl but these guys fucking rock and give me hope for future generations. Keep on doing what you do guys 🎸

I would love to hear more of his singing in his normal voice, it sounds like it would be really good. Just loose a bit of the screeching tone when he tries to go high. But I definitely think these guys will be around for a long time. They are still young. They are finding their own groove still and doing a great job of it. Love the guitar solo.
Took a couple of times listening to these guys to realise that they can really deliver. Great vocals outstanding guitar and bass and the drummer is one of the best i have ever heard. I am a drummer but couldn't hold a candle to this one. Yes i get it that they sound a bit like Zeppelin but they also jave their own unique way and that's what reslly stands out. I am 66 years old and this is one of the yrully besy bands I've heard in years. Kepp rockin' us guys and making your own way and sound. FANTASTIC!!!!!
I hope it doesn't happend to them, the same thing that happens to The Darkness. People started calling them "the saviors of Rock" and the singer burned out on cocaine. This guys are REALLY good. They just need to find their own style, and they are on the right track to it.
I don’t get it why these guys get so much hate. The only critique I hear about them is that they sound like led zeppelin; and idk why that’s should be a bad thing?! tell me someone who sounds like Led effin Zeppelin?! These guys are absolutely brilliant and i love everything they do. The singer is out of this world; something really special!
I've never been woken up so hard by any band I have heard like this. Immediate goosebumps on the back of my neck when this video started. Amazing band, amazing vocals. Just great.
The thing I love about Greta Van Fleet every time I come back to listen is their ability to OBVIOUSLY sound like classic rock, but do it in a way that's their own if that makes sense. To me Josh screams way more than a lot of classic rock vocalists (similar to plant yes) but he seems a little more reliant on it for his sound, and their guitarist writes riffs which are simple yet efficient. As a guitarist he's able to get the point across of a good classic rock riff and solo without over complicating it (which as a fan of page I think Jimmy did a lot). Plus their rhythm and bass section is super tight. I think what I'm trying to say is its reminiscent of something before yes but exists in a way that they can stand out on their own as their own band with their own sound. Reminds me of The Answer from Northern Ireland.
The importance of this band right now is that they are a.) doing GREAT original rock music.... b.) they are VERY talented musicians and are using 'old school' instruments, amps and equipment.... c.) they are young and will grow into their craft even more in the future.... rock music has been on LIFE SUPPORT for years... and with the death of so many great rock musicians in the last few years, it's nice to see these young men coming up and giving us some great new stuff.... I'm 53 and I LOVE GVF!!!
Look at the audience. All young kids. That's what matters. I'm an old basted and I love em.

i Dont care what anyone says this guys voice is fucking amazing and i give massive credit to the amazing drummer and the guitar in this song is legendary. the way the singer can adjust his voice from high to low is far from amazing and his work is better if not the same as some of the older rock bands that took the world by storm. So happy to see a great rock band return and this just shows pure talent no auto tune, no electronic computer shit just pure instruments and 1 amazing voice
Definitely one of my favorite songs of theirs, also great fucking solo Jake is becoming guitar goals

G.O.AT.
Mine too, and age of the machine.
That guitar solo....fucking wow!!!
This is clear blues rock for the 2020s! Bravo young guys!
They are the future. They will still be rocking when I’m gone. I’ll take Ive seen them live next Friday with me 🤘🏻😎. Can’t wait 🎤🎸🎸🥁
Way wayyyyy wayyyyyyyy beyond their years. Wow. I'll always LOVE LZ but dammnnn they take it to a whole new level. Way to go guys
I am a 63 year old hippie and these kids are great and will be putting out great tunes for years to come!!
Try my channel ted
This is a GD proper rock band. We haven't seen their likes in way too long.
Went to 2 of their shows and mind blown both times.Love these Michigan boys like they were my own.Thank you Greta for putting Rock and Roll back on the map!
Jesus can these guys rock. I am amazed. I have a SG, same color, never played it like that. I am in awe.
I love GVF and love that they bring an old school sound of the 70"s with a new freshness Good for GVF I salute you
I'm loving the sound.
Give these boys credit for being bold and bloody awesome
nice backhanded insult, i mean praise
Can we all just agree? Okay, they aren't REINVENTING the wheel here... Yes, they clearly have been influenced by rock bands from days gone by...... so what? GOOD FOR THEM! This is the kind of real music we need again. They write their own songs, have serious musical talent, and the vocals are really pure and raw..... That, my friends, is what makes great rock music.... Love this band, and I'm 53 years old..... Keep going, guys!!!
And to think we found the time... I love the lyrics to this.
i love the lyrics and melody--the whole song is just beautifully haunting! Im 49 btw. love trying to sing along with Josh--but I cant hit those high notes!
EPIC SOLO!!!!!
Keep Rocking Rollers
The jealous are troublesome to others but a torment to themselves.. Oooohhhh Momma!!!
This is pure talent at it's finest. To be able to play like this is so difficult!! Especially when done live. This performance was memorizing!! Josh's vocals and Jake's guitar solo are a match made in heaven. I'm so excited to see them this summer!! 💚💚💚
Really it's a match made in the womb (they are twins)
Love this song. Great band!!
Best performance of this song by far....epic
I am impressed and very proud of these young men. Please keep going. Best since pearl Jam.
The guitar solo kicks ass! My nephew, age 29, introduced me to Greta Van Fleet a few months ago. I'm 55 and I absolutely love them.
Congrats on your Grammy win for Best Rock Album!
What a rocking version. Solo is amazing. And I'm an old fart and these boys are the past, present and future of rock rolled into one.
Fucking amazing ! That guitar solo gave me life! Fuck y’all are good
Lol I’m back just cause FUCK this guitar solo is lit asf wowwww !
Jake is absolutely killing it!!! Damn this band ROCK. hope to see them in Italy
Wow. In shock! Rock and roll will never die 😭 I’m so glad for this fucking band!!
for over 50 years many singers have tried to sing as a Plant, Josh has this gift, why criticize it? The voice and the vocal extension is by josh, leave it alone. They are very good, I love them
that guitar solo was something else
The note that Josh holds around 2:53 is phenomenal. This is my favorite GVF song.
Well, I mean, he does not Copy Plant. This is """Greta van Fleet""" with new - fresh Musik. Please , no jealousy, just enjoy it. Greetings from Hamburg
haha thats a good one I love these guys but it is quite obvious where they found their sound
Grüße aus Hessen :D
you're deluded if you don't think he's just copying Plant
Brayden Porter maybe he does? Who gives a fuck? The music is fucking great.
i'm so in awe of josh's voice. i appreciate his talent so much. i don't care what band they have a similarity to, this is TALENT. period.
Sarah Ramones omg same, first I heard of them was in a planet fitness
Lol saw them at planet fitness too while running.
If they were already established as rock icons this performance would be legendary. Just another day in the books to them.
Every day is a new day
Every way is a new way
On the edge of darkness
Finding out what it means to love
And to think we've found the time
All my brothers we stand
For the peace of the land
Is there meaning?
I've got love in my heart
For an army apart I am bleeding
All my brothers we stand
For the peace of the land
Is there meaning?
I've got love in my heart
For army apart I'm bleeding
Always searching for love
Always searching for light
What the world is made of
When I'm thinking it's right
And to think we've found the time
All my brothers we stand
For the peace of the land
Is there meaning?
I've got love in my heart
For army apart I'm bleeding
All my brothers we stand
For the peace of the land
Is there meaning?
I've got love in my heart
For army apart I'm bleeding …
Those pipes!!! wowza! They are ALL outstanding musicians,FLAWLESS!!!!
I believe this song is going to be a classic sometime in the future.
What a great young band. Superb rock n roll. I'm digging the poncho too. Great guitar solo.
DragonZord the Darkness are back and sounding amazing
I don’t get it why these guys get so much hate.
The only critique I hear about them is that they sound like led zeppelin; and idk why that’s should be a bad thing?! tell me someone who sounds like Led effin Zeppelin?!
These guys are absolutely brilliant and i love everything they do. The singer is out of this world; something really special!
Because old timers think they are Gate Keepers of that sound
Great song and great footage!
I’m soooo glad to see these guys making rock like this again. Easily one of my top 5 bands of all time.
this is so fucking good
I'm 57 and love them. Got my CD player blasting this.
Grace Hall here you go! I Haventn had time to use my headphones yet so i cant judge just yet but its on.but
I love how their personality just pours out of each of them when they perform
Jesus, they are blessed.
I have LOVE in my HEART for these young men!!!!
If you're inspired by led zeppelin you're allways going fine.
I've never been woken up so hard by any band I have heard like this. Immediate goosebumps on the back of my neck when this video started. Amazing band, amazing vocals. Just great.
holy sh*t their live performance chops are improving!
Man, that was their best rendition ever in my opinion, they were just perfect in this
I love this. There's some Freddie Mercury in him. At least some musical theater for sure.
Brian Sounalath I would bet anyone 100 dollars that Josh was a theater kid in school. 100 bucks.
Whathuhwhowhere 100% agree
it will be so nice to hear proper music once again.
Que canción más perfecta por la chucha!!!!!!
Concuerdo contigo wn, el solo es filete
La raja!
They are the future!!!
Thanks for the hard work, it is amazing!!
