I cannot praise enough Sam Kiszka's organ playing. While he is typically playing bass guitar, he demonstrates a mastery of the Hammond Organ, including the use of the bass pedals, that unparalleled by most modern musicians. As a former organist, I can tell you that playing pedals in addition to the two manuals adds a level of difficulty that most musicians will never experience. Phenomenal!
I was going to comment the same thing. I'm no pianist / organist but as a drummer I can fully appreciate the independence it takes to effectively play two instruments at the same time.

When you have over a 50 year history of listening to music, it's hard not to make comparisons of his voice to other popular voices from the past. While his voice is unique, the shared characteristics with greats like Robert Plant and Geddy Lee is obvious. In this song, I hear a lot of similarity to Jon Anderson of YES...very high and light yet still connected. To even be mentioned alongside these greats speaks to the massive talent he possesses.
I'm glad their music has evolved/ is evolving more into their own sound. (Now it's not just LZ, but a mash of Rush, Yes, and LZ.) Tongue and cheek aside, this is better than their older stuff. Anyone remember Zebra? Let's not forget Supertramp.

SO, so good! I grew up in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I consider most popular American music today as "crap". Greta Van Fleet's sound makes me smile and cry at the same time because it's so good! Bravo!
Very talented. I love the 70's vibe. I definitely hear the resemblance to Geddy Lee because of his high register. That is not a bad thing folks. It's nice to see this genre of Rock making a comeback.
I’m 56 and became acquainted with classic rock very early in my life! Josh’s voice clearly reminds you of Robert Plant. But in my opinion goes beyond that. In this song, in particular it seems to me his voice reminds me of Janis Joplin and sometimes it sounds like Geddy Lee Rush first albums. And that to me it is simply amazing. Above and beyond of your typical auto tuned voices of many today. Seeing you enjoying that much is a pleasure! Thanks!
Hi sunshine. I am so happy you are doing Greta Van Fleet. I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning. They are from Frankenmuth in mid-Michigan. I live just south of them. I saw them locally when they only had like 7 songs and when they finally went to Detroit they were told, Go home write more songs and we'll see. I had to laugh when you thought they were girls. The name came from an older lady that lives in the same town. Keep Listening. I love love love what you do. Your reactions are just so wonderful and I enjoy them so very much. YOu are wonderful. I found you when you were doing Led Zeppelin songs. That is MY band. I will be 70 this year and I was there when LZ came out. They stopped me in my tracks. I thought, Who is that, and What is that I hear. For me, I think LZ changed Music history. Even today they are still influencing bands and music. everywhere. I feel I grew up in the greatest time of music history. And to think that the 3 greatest guitarists came from the same band. The Yardbirds. And No, I have not forgotten Randy Roads. I still cry when I think of him and what he would have done if he had lived a longer life. Thank you again for what you do. If I may, I love you. I've been a music nut all my life. I even listened to Opera when I was in junior high school. I was hungry for music of all kinds. But R&R is my life. I hope you never stop. Me, I still listen to LZ every day of my life. I can not get enough of them. And I just adore your critics of music. Oh, and the singer for GVF, him and his brother guitar player are twins, and the bass player is a brother too, Younger. He said, He never knew he could sing. And the way he found out was, they asked who is the loudest, and he won. Said he had to sing loud to be heard over the band. lol Good ole, Gibson SG's and a Fender Twin Reverb, and a stack of 12-inch speakers. lol
I love your reactions and you gushing over the amazing sound and vocal range Josh has. It’s great he incorporates the ever talented yodeling. Perfect touch. Perfect band. Perfect reaction.
I saw these live in Manchester, UK last year and they were so positive and happy vibes. They we're handing out roses to people all through the show and had incense burning with the subtle smell of weed from the crowd. I said to my girlfriend it's like what I'd imagine a scene from the 60's would be like. Great band and great live. I'd highly recommend Black smoke rising and Broken bells. Any more from them really, only as I want you to have more GVF in your playlist other than two! Great video Elizabeth, really enjoyed it!

i love your commentary because this is exactly what I was feeling, the organ, since I had some time to play an organ at my leisure (many years ago) and recognized in my adult years the potential of this instrument and hearing them utilize it so well, with the drums and subtle guitar opening...love it...I'm literally geeking out the same way you are and I love that! total vibes! Recently discovered your videos and have just been binging them for the past day or two! I'm not even a career singer or anything, I do play guitar and love to sing (whether it's very good or not haha), but listening to you analyze these singers, a lot of which are from bands I've been listening to for years (Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, SOAD) has just given me a whole new level of appreciation for their artistry. There are multiple layers of intent, technique, and purpose behind these vocalists that I never even considered, and listening to you break down their styles and techniques is helping me get an even deeper love for music overall. It's also helping pick up minor tips here and there on things that could help me improve my singing a little bit as well! Thank you for loving and respecting the music so much, and helping me do the same!

SO, so good! I grew up in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I consider most popular American music today as "crap". Greta Van Fleet's sound makes me smile and cry at the same time because it's so good! Bravo!
Dive down the rabbit hole and soak it all up and make more videos with GRETA CAN FLEET!!! Literally obsessed
Sam is ridiculous. Well, the whole band, but Sam is my favorite. The joy you show when Josh does yet another amazing vocal bit brings me joy though.
Believe me, Elizabeth, if it makes you happy, it makes us happy! hehe that smile at the end is priceless!
When the vocalist harmonizes with the Organ. Such a wonderful sound :D
This is the first time that I have seen you both envious and bobby socks-ing over someone in your field of talent. It’s the most relatable reaction I’ve seen. I get that way about drummers. The fluster and ‘I wish I was That good when I was That age..’ brings common ground between us. I have loved your channel and enthusiastic geeking out over what you love but, this reaction helps me feel not so alone in relation to other Really talented people.
✌️😌👍💕
I went with my daughter to see them at the end of last year, and they were every bit as good live as what's represented here!! Fantastic band..... this reaction made me smile so much! :D
I've been waiting soo long for you to do a reaction on this, I knew you could just articulate how amazing this song is. Love it.
GretNA Van Fleet, the band's namesake, is a sweet older lady and member of the family's local church in rural Michigan. At the ripe young age of 88, Gretna was on hand to tap the keg at the band's album release party nearly 5 years ago. The band and the community that supports them are rather extraordinary!! Thanks for featuring them
Love it! It’s sad they haven’t been able to go back home for years now
Realy realy lov'em. I saw the live consert in Stockholm 2022, Listen to this music and see the sun set over Stockholm that summer night made me a memory for life. Aways comes back to me when I hear them after that. Means a lot to me becuse I moved away from my old hometown many years ago, and come back just to see this consert with my teenage kids, and to show them the town I origin from.
Josh's singing seems so effortless. He's having fun while we are all amazed. The whole group is overflowing w/talent.
Never heard this band before but thanks to you. It is now on my playlist.❤🎉❤🎉❤
I heard "Safari Song" a few years ago and was instantly hooked. My first thought was, "wow, new Led Zeppelin" and now into their exploration of their own sound.
You can thank sucky FM radio for that.
Greta Van Fleet is one of my favorite bands now. They are amazing so happy to see the new generation or rock especially from my home town. Love your review of them!
My favorite band. I absolutely love GVF. Fantastic musicians.
If you are impressed with his breath control, just waiting until you hear him singing "The Weight Of Dreams". That's something else!
I love her reaction video's. Who else besides me think she is the girl next door dream! Greta is amazing, hope we get more reactions to their music
I'm obsessed with this song, it's my pump up song for going into another day ❤ and I'm so grateful she pointed out the use of yodeling technique 🤯 never even considered that!
Saw them in 2018 in Newport, 5th row. Absolutely incredible, seated right in front of the lead guitar, blew me away!
I actually teared up watching you react to this band!!!
Call me crazy but almost every gvf reaction I've watched lately gives me all the feelings.
Have u watched one on Meeting the Master?! 🥹
I love her joy and honest appreciation
Saw them Live last week, one of the best shows I have ever been to!! don't recommend it enough!
YES! Thank you for covering this amazing song!
Josh's voice is only getting better. Heard him live this year and was completely blown away. Sounds better in the stadium than the studio too.
So glad you've found and are enjoying Greta Van Fleet! "Age of Man," "Light My Love," and "Weight of Dreams" are all great examples of Josh's range and vocal strength. I just saw them live, and towards the end of the set list when they played "Weight of Dreams," I was floored that Josh didn't skimp on the long holds as the song crescendoed. After the whole concert, he still had gas in the tank.
I’ve probably already responded as this is my (probably) 20th time watching your reaction. It makes me so joyful to see you enjoy his voice as much as You do. I don’t have your technical knowledge but when I heard Joshua the first time, I was stunned. I immediately needed you to hear this man. Thank you so much 😊
My favourite band from our current time, just so timeless, such raw and amaxing talent, I’ve seen these guys live and they were INCREDIBLE both times and put on such a great show, I agree with your point on how they almost welcome in the audience such an amazing environment ✌🏻🖤🤘🏻
i love your commentary because this is exactly what I was feeling, the organ, since I had some time to play an organ at my leisure (many years ago) and recognized in my adult years the potential of this instrument and hearing them utilize it so well, with the drums and subtle guitar opening...love it...I'm literally geeking out the same way you are and I love that! total vibes! Literally though, every thought I had you communicated!
Been pushing you to do this song for two years!!!!! So happy you get to finally experience it full bore 🙌🏻
every time im in my car and this song comes up i just gotta sing along! love how far GVF have come in their musical career. Can't wait to hear them in like 10 years time when they'll be even better!
Ive only just today discovered this band, and they really are incredible!
I love it when you enjoy the singing performance so much you get giddy.
Best reaction in a long while Elizabeth! Really enjoyed it 🙂
I saw them back on november and the EASE that Josh sings with is just jaw dropping. The best live voice I've heard ever. So clear and bright. In this video he sounds a tiny bit raspy, which wasn't when I saw them. He is one hell of a vocalist and I love how Elisabeth reacts and aknowledges his talent ❤❤
Thanks so much for doing this one! We requested and you delivered!!! This is by far my favorite GVF song :)
Utter perfection. Their new release "Meet the Master" is probably one of the greatest songs ever created.
Yeeessss!!! Thankyou Elizabeth for finally giving this song a go!
I love this review - I am so glad you love Greta as much as I do. Your joy is infectious. Josh is amazing!
Definitely one of the biggest next gen bands on the planet. Seeing them in a packed arena is just a completely next level vibe that even the monsters of rock struggle with now a days (and I've seen them all).
This band has a stranglehold on me. I absolutely adore all of these guys. Very talented.
Your reaction is so genuine and is my reaction every time I listen to GVF. They are so refreshing and definitely a live band. You fall in love with their music then you go to a concert and it’s heaven.
Uriah Heep vocalist David Byron was one of the greatest voices hard rock ever had that died too soon at the age of 38 back in 1985 due to alcoholism . I hope others request a reaction to David Byron, Elizabeth needs to hear and experience him.
Yes absolutely!!!
Uriah heeps wizards and demons hold two of my favourite songs by the band easy livin and traveller in time.
Found the band by complete accident after binge listening to W.A.S.P. They did a cover of easy livin and that opened the door to Uriah heep!!!
Happy listening brother!!!
Demons and Wizards is an amazing album. The Wizard is a short song, but a great one to dig into. Easy Livin' has always been a favorite.
I had a cousin who was a huge Uriah Heep fan. Sadly, he followed Byron's example and also drank himself to death way too young. Bye, Rich, find peace.
Yes, Gypsy and Rain would be great choices too.
I didnt expect a request for Uriah Heep! Love 'em!
Gretta Van Fleet, the name is a dedication to the matriarc of their hometown of Frankenmuth, MI. These guys rock and are very sweet to pay Homage.
Never heard this before. The intro is pure Genesis/Yes/ ELP, then he starts to sing….how does he sound like a combination of Geddy Lee and Roger Daltry? What a band!
Some songs he sounds more like Robert Plant
I feel like we're witnessing something big starting to happen in the music scene. I feel so proud of them as they definitely deserve it
I get goosebumps listening to this song, even tears….I LOVE it so much! This song is stuck in my head all day long and I love it!
Loving this. Very definition of GUSHING!!!! Flower power live needs to be next!!!!
Never heard a song by these guys i didn't like. Excellent stuff!
Finally GvF reaction! I love them and Josh is a beast. I listened to them even in their LZ starts, but now they create just pure art. Also we had our first wedding dance to Light my love.
I LOVE Greta Van Fleet! Thank you for helping me feel like i am experiencing them for the first time again 😅
I’m telling you, Elizabeth, the, in the moment, completely natural reaction-a joy to watch
This performance was perfect in my eyes. I love the band. Loved their music from the start. But this album, and for me this song, took everything to another level.
I just found them today and I can’t get enough of them! Robert plant said I hate him with a smile what a compliment!! I’m a zeppelin head ! But these guys have my vote! Brilliant ❤❤❤
I just go to see them live a couple weeks ago. Absolutely phenomenal.
I just discovered these guys yesterday.
The level of talent is just absolutely incredible.
Wow! What an amazing band! Thanks so much for this.
Greta Van Fleet is more than awesome live! I saw them in Chicago at Lollapalooza, unreal! Never forget it. I enjoy your analysis and enthusiasm of your videos. Peace!
The candle light session of “Tears of Rain” is a great listen as well
I loooove this reaction! This band is AMAZING!! Saw them live in Reno 3/26 and now I'm a fan for life, just super entertaining, talented, and stunning musicians!!
YES YES YES!!! I am obsessed with this band since discovering them here on this channel. And I was counting down to this day that you would want to listen to a modern rock band yodelling, as young as they are. Love them. Please enjoy their song Stardust Chords- so talented. 😊😊😊😊
Brett Mydland squeezed a Hammond B3 with multiple Leslie's as have Steve Winwood , Gregg Allman,
Billy Preston and more classic artists. Nice to see a great young band integrating the B3 into their music. Verry classic
,
Watching her fangirl over this makes me feel better. Knowing that I wasn't the only one loosing my mind over this the first time i heard this lol
This song is a complete brain orgasm of sound. These guys did what many bands tried to do, they brought back rock and roll.
Anyone who is not blown away the first time they hear this band, does not have ears. They are amazing!
I just want to say that I have watched hundreds of reactions from different content creator's and this is my absolute favorite one. GVF is one of my favorite band, and I think I really cool the way you react and articulate your expertise opinion and analysis of the Song. I've watched this about 7 time, and I'm looking forward to you doing more 1st time reactions of GVF
