    Man I've seen so many small with number 8 cylinder messed up. I've always wondered why that cylinder got moisture and none of the other ones did. Im sure that engine and head will clean up with some machine work. Cool Video of what happens to old engines that Set. Have a good one Buddy 👍

      Thanks Big Don! Hoping the machine shop gives us a good report card on saving this engine. Btw, really enjoying learning about the Tri Fives you been covering in your videos.

    It's always #8... Hopefully you guys get good news from the machine shop and maybe we can see a 383 stroker in its future... The truck will be cool with an LT or LS swap for sure!!

      We looked at it again today and for sure we are going to save it. If the crankshaft needs any work when we tear it apart we will definitely go with a stroker crank and plop it in one of the other projects he's got out there. But really looking forward to seeing a late model engine fitted between the frame rails of this ole gal. There will be more videos on the GMC in the near future for sure.
