Great Review Boys! I would just like to remind you guys that a big upgrade over the MilSpec SA .45 Is the Dovetail Front Sight. Not having to Stake that Front Sight Is a Big Help!
Good stuff guys, I went with the Colt Competition pistol in 9mm , but I bought this in .45 acp and did some custom work and parts replacement and is a really great pistol. Again great review thanks for sharing.
I just got one of these this week and love it. Just an FYI, when you register your warranty with Springfield, you get a big discount at their online store to purchase extra magazines. They only took three days to be delivered as well, so the one magazine in the box is not that big a deal.
I just got one and I haven't shot it yet because I picked it up today but the slide stop is extremely stiff is that normal? First 1911. Disassembled lubed reassembled and it is still stiff.. The action of the slide is very smooth just the slide stop without a mag in.
I’m new to 1911 and I’m thinking of getting the Garrison in 9mm. Does the 9mm have a traditional barrel or a ramped barrel? I value your opinion and advice guys.
My garrison is the best 1911 that isn’t a colt in my collection. You get a lot features for the money that that you would pay extra for sure if it was a pony.
I love my 1911 in 45acp but i would never buy a gun in that caliber again. My reasons for a 9mm 1911. Capasity 8+1/10+1 Less recoil Price of Ammo 9mm is the standard around the world 9mm is lighter and needs less space
Now I guess I’m gonna have to add one of these to my collection
Yes you do!
I’ve got got one & I love it.
That's what I said dam.

Mine should be coming to my ffl tomorrow. This’ll be my first 1911 and I can’t wait to shoot it
Just picked one up. This review helped me decide. Can't wait to shoot it. Thanks guys!
Happy we could help!

How much were they? I require at least 5 mags for any gun.
@@Milkman3572000just get Mec-Gar mags. Less than $20
Have one couldn't get it to chamber or eject sent it back still waiting on it not happy
I’m stuck between the garrison or the defender mil spec both in 45acp
I have the Garrison .45 in stainless. Probably going to get a blued 9mm.
How do you like that 45? I was thinking of getting one.
@@sammystull4985 great so far. I would recommend it. Trying do decide on stainless or blued is tough ..lol
You can’t go wrong with either. Definitely like the stainless a bit more.
Great review

I don’t remember it being stiff. But it was tight out of the box
@@TrueShotAmmo I'm taking it to the range tomorrow. I believe I'm just used to my glocks. I have good faith in this gun the stainless is beautiful
I like the case that came with my garrison 45 it’s not bulky
Looks like a fun range toy, but I've never understood the need for a new 9mm 1911, especially today.
They are just fun. I think that’s the draw to them.
It is perfect to practice with given that ammo is much cheaper.
was gunna go ronin but now i'm leaning towards these
Just review how reliable it is
Ad trigger weight
Great! Now we just need a 10mm version!
Yes we do.
Awesome!!!
well there goes 1600 of my budget. I need the blue in .45 and Stainless in 9mm

I has a ramped barrel.
@@TrueShotAmmo thank you

Ship it with no mags if it’s cheaper, I’m never using the Springfield mags anyway, Wilson mags only.

Capasity 8+1/10+1

Nice gun but for the money get a Bul Armory 9mm 1911. Way more bang for your buck!
The only problem is thats its just about impossible to find one.
It's $700
Audio sucks, could not watch past 3 minutes, you guys should really invest in good equipment if you are going to do content creation, just my opinion.
We were trying out a new set up. Most likely going back to the old set up in the future.
It has a magazine capacity of 7 rounds, not 9. You should know what you are talking about before making a video.
This gun is trash. I bought one new, jams all the time, failure to eject, weak spring, slide gets stuck half way! Worst gun i have ever bought.
Sorry to hear you had that experience. I would call Springfield. Their customer service is great and they should be able to get it in and repaired.
This is the only negative review I've read. That sucks I hope they fix your pistol. Keep us updated please. Mine runs great thankfully
@@ksw3155 willing to bet he really ran it dry out of the box and has no idea how to grip it.
I wonder if your review would have been different if you were paying for the gun that you’re reviewing…!
No would have been the same. We really did love this gun.
