Such a wonderful mobile base. Not too big, not too small. Perfect.

Man I really wish people made more starting scenarios, because being able to legitimately start with things like this would be so cool.

I mean it is JackRPG. Usually when he slams into something in these vids everything goes tits up :D
If it's Jackproof, it's almost immortal!

I added a crane to the top of this thing, as well as additional thrusters and changed the turning radius on the wheels, as all as increasing tension sstrength, giving me more ground clearance. I love this thing. Its and absolutely awesome build

Get rid of the center two wheels on each side, then double the width of the wheel base, and add a drill and a dozen atmospheric thrusters pointing forward and back. Then we'll be talking.

I still use this thing. I've built a me suspension system in and made some other changes here and there but it's a great rover

where are the production buildings??? this is not a mobile BASE...just a big rover..

You can set an ignore color and just paint the unfinished blocks that color and bob won't fix them.

You forgot the hydrogen boosters underneath... Should have hit the space bar while driving, see what happens

Just so you know if you use the build and repair nanite mod set you ignore color and paint your unfinished blocks that color so they stay in the build state

It's a pretty cool mobile base but I see a pretty glaring weakness if you get into any kind of combat if your enemy targets where the ladders are they can very easily crippled the entire thing at least that's what it looks like to me

4:32 what unfinished block is that? I've never seen it before.

Side note trying to build this in survival as your second base and your first base only has one large cargo container and refinery and assembler survival kit and o²/h² generater and seven wind turbines without a welding ship and with limited resources is very hard

Problem with these sorts of wheels in space engineers is how easy it is to bottom out the bits that connect the wheels it is SO dumb how huge the suspension is on the wheels and there are no options for wheels with no or little suspension.
Wheels with a really thin holder on either side would allow things like this to have MUCH better ground clearance and there would be no problem with realism or anything like that. you could even make the holders not go all the way to the centre of the wheel since the centre is most likely where the motor is contained allowing EVEN MORE ground clearance. this is one of my main problems with planets in space engineers at the moment
Also you say "very slowly" while going 25m/s, 50mph is really damn fast for something so huge over REALLY rough terrain including trees. the mobile base i built in my last earth world moved at around 20m/s normally on the flat and that was still pretty sketchy...

ikr, it's like they want us to engineer our own small block rotor suspensions.

      >Problem with these sorts of wheels in space engineers is how easy it is to bottom out the bits that connect the wheels
This, really wish they had more suspension options.
Since trying to kludge your own is just asking to break out right or fling a multi thousand ton machine to the nearest moon because something jiggled causing it to "clang".

Create a drop ship for the mobile base and than spawn in both in survival and than you live of the mobile ship after touchdown
