Oddly reminds me of a halo elephant
Exactly what I was thinking.
Or the Mammoth from Halo 4.
Avelino Eraca Same.
Avelino Eraca same.
Came down here to write that myself
This thing is just so cool to me. A self-sufficient mobile base that can store vehicles, drones, and resources while keeping the crew insulated from the harsh environments outside. It feels like it's meant to be a survey vehicle, researching the various parts of a planet for air toxicity and natural resources while placing beacons for potential settlement sites. These types of builds are incredibly unique and always keep me interested.
I remember his trying to start driving and I thought “He never did raise the rear elavator did he
same here :D :D :D but not XD
that was probably what exploded
LSG, you could transform this vehicle into a portable Drone Production Facility.
I guess attacking this thing with all its small, rotating and whatever blocks would just kill the server.
Its awesome tho.
I was thinking you could attach a drill set up of some sort and turn it into a mobile mining rig, exploring the planets surface for valuable resources.
This build shows how much space engineers could benefit from merging small and large grids, but unfortunately keen don't seem to realise this.
Swapping between grid sizes is literally all I want at the moment, everything else is secondary.
Might be due too engine issues, I don't think it's as easy as it sounds. But still it would be awesome.
It would never truly be stable due to how the engine is implemented, and small grids on a large grid scale are extremely performance intensive. Maybe in 10 years we'll have computers that can handle that, provided people don't paste in too many. KSH don't want to spend their energy chasing something they can never achieve with the large/small grid stuff and they've said as much. Aside from the linked grids being by definition impossible to do in a stable manner in the game engine, whenever they improve the performance of the game players simply build more numerous, complex and larger grids until the game lags again. Keen will never be able to make SE do more than modern computers can handle.
It should be really easy they are just still working on more important things. It clearly is stable enough now so a bit of tweaking to make it not as janky to accomplish would be great. Couldn't they just subdivide the large grids a bit better to allow the smaller to fit in any spot? like if a small grid is a 1x1x1 cube, a large could be 9x9x9 or whatever they want it to be. that way you could just snap the smalls into the large and they would fit great.
can't wait to see what the next few updates give us. hopefully more npc's to talk to or actual pirates on the pirate ships.
It is not that it is inconceivable to think of a system that permitted this, it is that the game is fundamentally structured in a way that does not allow this in a performance friendly way whatsoever. To rebuild the game to allow small and large grids to interface in the way you describe (or any way that would be meaningful or remotely enjoyable) would require such a large rework to accomplish it would be tantamount to rewriting the entire game core. (Physics, optimizations, netcode..)
that is gorgeous, the imagination and creativity that went into this is just mind blowing
A great demonstration of what's possible with the basic tools of the game, a fantastic craft!
😂 lol I'm like yelling at the screen"Mate, the lift!"
As someone who was an early access supported of Space Engineers, I'm happy to see things still being made. I rewatch the Joint Survival series about once a year for nostalgia (and things I missed in previous watches), and it's still entertaining.
Hope you get a new one going soon, and fly Dangerously. o7
The auto-generated captions are great.
"Hello there in his usual lie from my stank Demers..."
This reminds me of them beautiful Federation cruisers from Deserts of Carrack. Hope someday someone's gonna build one in Space Engineers
Deserts of Kharak is such a pretty game.
TheSubso agreed. All games in the Homeworld series are beautiful. And the plot is great, too.
1:27 "observation camera"
You sound surprised. Your home security camera didn't come with a pair of gatling guns then?
wow, whoever made this needs to be part of the dev team. this would be an awesome survival option to play on with friends.
11:22 ... and this is why you don't let LSG use your elevators.... Because he'll forget he's got one lowered and then get surprised when something blows up when he's dragging the elevator along the sand XD
Now this machine is absolutely beautiful!! A work of art, now all you need is to add some big guns, enough to make your enemies teeth tickle
I know this is over a year late.. But this looks like a mobile shrine to the summoning of Lord Clang. May he bless us wherever we are in SE.
Someone needs to make a survival series focused on teams of 3 making a mobile base like this and have like 5 teams that would either make alliances or battle it out to use other mobile bases for resources
Those fans look absolutely sick. I think i may use something like that in a design i've been working on.
I do like the idea of big ships & vehicles U can walk through while they're moving. Reminds me of my favorite level of Halo 4, the one with the Mammoth transport. When I get the game (for xbox), I think I'll try building a big 8-wheeler, with multi levels, a rover, an airship (in a covered hanger), & maybe some remote probes. Ever since I watched fellow gamers play Subnautica & Kerbal Space Program, I've had this big ol' yen for crafting/survival games.
the outside: that's really cool! I love the tracks. great idea wit the antenna/ comms relays. the inside: nice mess room/crew quarters. too few ships add those. the cockpit: *jaw fucking drops* I need this in ALL my builds....
"Awww ets no really funktional". Then proceeds to drive over obstacles effortlessly. What a plonker.
I remember flipping the halo elephant in forage -> sand pit 👌🏻
4:40 or you could ya know, use the massive lift to transport vehicle up, like it’s supposed to and not dis lifts
Love your videos dude
Spice harvester ? The spice must flow !
What's with the wheels? How did he make them clip into one another like that?
Super gridding
it would be badass if it had a massive saw pit and the claw picks up abandoned cars etc and drops them in and colect resources with it
i'd like to see you not break everything you touch....
This is Clang’s vessel of choice. Beware the coming days Arron.
It's a Clangtastrophie waiting to happen alright. Rotors everywhere sticking grids to it...
When you started talking about how lifts have no purpose because of jetpacks, I just started to think that there should be a mode that requires the suit to be built. That or an option to increase the cost of an atmosphere or hydrogen thruster.
Very impressive design.
Now all we need to do is make Mother Will and we can have a genuine Armored Core experience!
there is a button on the fans outside that opens the cover and shuts the fan down like a service thing cool detail
that is a beast awesome rover
Hey there ! Very nice creation indeed. Love those.
I have worked on a ship of the Expanse (I guess you remember the Kebab :D) and I released it on the steam workshop - The 'MCRN Morrigan class' or Scipio Africanus . If you could check it, it would be awesome ! (Considering the size it's very cramped inside but still)
thought maybe the thrusters at the back would give it some punch, ah well :) maybe just me, but i always feel like these showcases need something at the end, like..seeing how they handle a bomb xD explooooosions
Clearly modeled after the Elephant from Halo 3, nice.
Pretty awesome. I wonder if the burning thing on top comes standard? How is the warranty on the rear lift?
Imagine using this as a mobile base on a server!. Ps it kinda makes me think of an elephant from halo
You would definitely need to remove a number of the small grids but it would be pretty cool
Now we need a moving castle.
no, We need Nod MCV
This is INSANE!
Crawler?
Craaaaaawlin' iiiin my skiiiiiin!
F*ck I bet there was one like LPs' song with these lyrics
Those fans aren't cool
THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!
you should have this on the mad max server as a event
Heh. New-age Sandcrawler. Get the jawas!
'Oh what was that exploding' You left the personnel lift down, silly!
This is sick. I'm amazed!
You should do a video on how to defend your ship if it gets boarded. I was on the Multiplayer Test and got into a big 10v10 battle. Our fighters were taken out and we got boarded, and we couldn't do anything to stop the 5 enemies onboard, taking over our systems.
Sounds like you forgot interior turrets.
This kinda reminds me of the halo elephant combined with the gears of war rig
What bothers me about your videos like this is you clearly dont even do basic research into its features before hand. You seem to name things by sight, rather than look into it first.
True but at least he's changed for the better so far he actually links the creator and not claimed it himself, so...baby steps
great, Jawas are apart of Space Engineers now
Looks awesome but don't know why the guy didn't make the lift in the back bigger to carry stuff
my mind is so far beyond blown
Masterpiece!
Awsome work on the vids
When you look at ships like this, you just know the sim speed is going to be trash 😂😂😂
Oof those fans...Simple, but I LOVE them!
Have it in colony survival
they really should add a way to merge large and small ship grids.
For some reason, this remind me of MCV from C&C series
looked like it was going to snap in half :)
Is this just a building game or does it have missions and an economy?
Looks like that one machine from Killzone 3.
Everytime you say creation it sounds like croatian, which is hillarious to listen to.
*Looking at a person from Croatia*
I like this Croatian
It look like the grinder in the junkyard on Killzone 3
This remembers me of a game called unrealaturnement 2004 vercles where they carried missles on it if im right
Definitely inspired from halo. Everything is in the same spot ahaha
It looks more inspired from killzone
can you use this in captains jack colony series as a samll drone factor were it creates drones and ground drones
Sooooo many rotors :O
The normal thumbnails are back!
Its looks nice
Imagine doing a planetary war with this thing! it would OBLITERATE enemies
its not particularly heavily armed or armored, lots of complex moving parts to critical failures due to weapons fire would make this a sitting duck. one good shot boom there goes the suspension
@@Toughguygames yes but add some good weopons and drones and it could be a good idea
Daybreaker... I was racking my brain as to why it sounded so familiar and then I remembered. It's name of a character (sorta) from the show My Little Pony. Don't ask how I know that.
the wake up how do you know this
Angel Torres I'll explain it tomorrow if I remember. It's very late where I am
Angel Torres I haven't forgotten. I'm just trying to think of something to say without digging myself into a hole
*B R O N Y*
Old Man Memeson actually I'm a furry. The reason I know this is because I got bored of them decided to binge-watch a bunch of CinemaSins parodies of My Little Pony. So not a brony.OWO
How do you mix small and big ship blocks?
place a large grid rotor, remove the rotor head and add a small grid rotor head
Was that the Anaheim Electornics logo?
The Enclave wants to: *know your location*
This is a MVC from Red alert 2
now if only we can use or create this kinds of things in a MP server.
Keen Software House, needs to add an option on world Generation
Jetpack = Item
Yes/No
even better = precedural generated solar system ? yes/ no
This is really cool one question though. How the hell do you play this game? Haha anyone know of any noob help groups or pages? I want to play this game but I just cant figure it out
How do you place it without breaking it?
so much for the rear lift....boom
"MCV reporting in"
That's the elephant, from halo! Copyright!
My steam name is Korvatus Klok. I have 3,992 hours on Space Engineers at the time of this post. I'll be releasing the Valdian Hualer hopefully this evening (est). I managed to come up with a work around on the performance hit allot of programmable blocks cause by using the Visual Script Builder to make an occupancy script that turns on and off LCD displays and programmable blocks when certain seats are in use. This ship is going to be the beginning point of a sci-fi fantasy I'm still developing. Hope you take a look at it.
So basically an upgraded Sandcrawler or an upgraded Halo 3 Elephant
Clangs wet dream.
so did you steal this one from the workshop as well?
How did the creator get the wheels inside one another?
Majic
Toby Thurlow White oh no way! Lemme just go ask mary poppins for some of her magic to sprinkle like unicorn farts on my game... no seriously how do you do this?
Lord IceGhost I'm not sure, there might be a mod that allows the merging of blocks.
or majik
Here I was about to make a simple little rover base then I see this...
Why do I limit myself to such simple things?
Love this can u up load it to mod io
Utinni!
Finish the fight
On the new server: half way pcu limit reached 🤔
I wish I could build something like that
i swear every vehicle that is on the ground is always tilted the tinyiest bit in ever single video and its so annoying.
What are your PC specs? I know that space eng. Can be very demanding
When you said huge you weren't kidding
Really? My rover base is 4x the size of this, at least.
philosophiccreep do you know those youtubers who say 'huge' but it's only 6 cubic metres big.
Thats what she said
Weaponized it that coth be a super moving fortress
A famous space pirate steals vehicle from traders then posts video of himself trying to work it
This is a halo elephant
