Too Expensive! Nice Furnishings But They Got it For Free! And Charge The Public New Furniture Prices! 😣
Alicia Young You are soooo right !! Way over priced !!!!
You haven't been shopping for furniture lately. That sofa could be a Henredon brand and easily retails for $4000 or more. Even Value City or Big Lots sofas are $800 and up.
Way too expensive for second hand furniture that they get for free !!!!
Too pricey for a Salvation Army.
Kim Fuentes I agree
The furnitue appeared Beautiful and well kept by previous owners. Where I live in N.Y Salvation Army and Goodwill you really have to be at the store right time when good things come in they get snatched up quick. But then again it all depends on what you like. And after a certain amount of time prices do go down in price what your looking at may still be there then you can rethink if you want to pay that price.
Kim Fuentes yea
Yeah...they stuff is very overpriced. You can buy new for some of the prices they sale used items for. And some are not in very good shape and they still have outrageous prices on them.
I know first hand because I used to shop there weekly when I lived in Birmingham,AL.
I was able to find some good deals on clothing at times. But the furnishing is a bit pricey.
It should be against the law to sell hand me down items for so high
They use the profits to help people, one of the best charities in the country. Geesh
Where is it ?
It's called the free market, commie.
Very expensive for a charity shop where the items have probably been donated anyway. Still, some nice pieces there 👍
Not ‘Probably” donated. Definitely donated.
Yes. Some thrifts are truly overpriced...
WOW, your Salvation army store looks more like a Home Goods!
I agree!!
Damn they stuff is soo over priced.
They charge too much and get it free.I'd rather give items to someone., than to give it to the salvation army..
That salvation army is high!!Nice items. But still high.
agreed..way too high for us who really thrift.
Kc E My thoughts exactly. might as well buy that dresser brand new
Right !
I was going to comment the same thing ! I'll just buy new
pretty high!
I guess it's the area...Atl. Nice stuff, but WAAY to high to be used! Might as well go to a furniture store and buy brand new!! Goodneeess!! Too rich for my blood!!
It is expensive for a thrift store
wow...our Salvation Army Store is horrible!!!!
this is the best looking salvation army I have ever seen
aqua fina I agree!!!!
aqua fina So true everything in there looks high quality. I would love to know what state and city they are in so I can go shopping
Agree
rich people salvation army! mine smells like moth ball and has press wood crapola
Beautiful things to say its a salvation army a little pricey though.
One of the pieces was Ethan Allen, the dresser was 18 Century Mahogany. I used to work for EA and that piece was over $3k
There's prices are to high to me 2017
are they second hand furniture because them are way to much money if are
enjoy shopping with you but the prices are very high for my budget😔
thats an expensive ass thrift store
Nice items but that "thrift" store still seems a lil high to me
LadyM ! I thought the EXACT same thing!!!
LadyM ! Junk
LadyM ! They are high now.
Same but maybe because the items are fairly new it atleast looks that way
Just to think the salvation army gets all this nice stuff for free to overcharge tha hell outta these southern folk...shame shame shame. Very nice but overpriced. Thanks for sharing.
Crystal Reed the Salvation Army is an Evangelical organization and does good works. If they reduce the prices some a hole would buy up and have it at those prices in their for profit stores. Take a gander at those who buy up all the choice goods (many on You tube) and sell them on Line. And they complain because the prices have gone up....well people at Good Will and Sally's know the score now. Used to get Pyrex for $1 or 2.....now? Easily $10. What it's sold for on Etsy or EBay.
i got my bf to watch this with me. We both looked at eachother like what the hell salvation army is this. Nice stuff but Pricey as all hell! This stuff is donated for free and they are making that much of a profit? I used to work at the salvation army thrift store. The thrift stores have nothing to do with the church at all. And there were boxes and boxes of stuff in the back where it was priced. Supposedly they send stuff overseas i never saw one thing sent. We used to get slightly imperfect brand new stuff from the gap etc. Another money racket.
I wish I was there. Very nice things, clean and very well organized.
I went to my Salvation Army store yesterday. It used to be cheap, but now prices have tripled!!! Prob won'tgo back- too much was junk and overpriced.
I miss Atlanta. They have a lot of nice things in this one. I will have to come up there and rent a truck to furnish my apartment. I love the video. Thank you for sharing.
This is expensive .
Sonya, I appreciate you sharing!
I live in NYC, and a few years back the city had a dreadful bedbug infestation!
Yes!! The movies theatres, high class hotels, and even used mattresses were being illegally sold, that were also infested!
So a law was passed that Good Will, Salvation Army consignment shops. Were no longer allowed to sell furniture!! Bedbugs survive in wood furniture, as well!! They can live up to a year without food or water! They will lay dormant till some poor unsuspecting soul, sits or lays down in the chair or bed!!!
They are allowed to sell clothing. However, strict regulations state that clothing MUST BE CLEANED by the consignment shops, before sold to the public!
I was curious, the plates that you turned over were marked $4.99! Was that for the set, or individually!? If so, that is TOO HIGH to be sold individually!!
That China closet is a steal!
But after what we went through in NY. I would pass on buying used furniture.....PERIOD!!!
Nice store and prices are very reasonable for the quality. Salvation Army and Goodwill great for setting up first apartment or house.
Anything I get from a thrift store or from individuals I treat it for bugs and roaches...etc. You can't be too careful and everybody is not clean.
I have my thrift store finds kit in my car. I spray everything before I put it in my car.
I've even taken it inside with me too spray clothes I'm trying on.
I get spray for bedbugs and whatever else I think it'll kill. 💀
I especially spray furniture and appliances because roaches can hide up in those things for years without u seeing them.
Ppl think I'm crazy when I'm out at my car spraying ...I don't care. I'm not taking Ms.Roach and all her roach babies home with no...Nope ain't gonna happen no free ride and free rent here. 💀😂😂
Your Salvation Army is very nice. They display things like at a department store. Our Salvation Army has things tossed on shelves this way and that way. It doesn't look as nice as your store. The prices are not that bad. That china cabinet looked like it was originally about $1,500 and they only wanted $300?
souldiegirl
Yes the display is beautiful!
Also the way they arrange items by color, and category!!
But the plates were 5 dollars each 😬
I agree. Prices are 1/2 that or less in my midwest area! I would not be visiting that Salvation Army any more.
Wow yall have nice stuff there, here where I live its all junk someone should have taken to the dump LOL! I love that table, I would just cover those chairs. Great video Sonya
ibemamo some do
Ours is just junk and trash also.
Wow you have a upscale Salvation Army best one ever say
pretty n pink cakes is it only for people that are in the army
I have most of my stuff in my house from the salvation army store, ive found some great ideas for the house.
Thank you So much for sharing I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful pieces they have in there and it was nice practically brand new.
they got some nice stuff
Beware you can bring home head lice body lice and bedbugs from thrift stores
Seems pretty overpriced but for a good cause
1.49 is a steal very popular angel. You can make a hobby out of it and collect the others.
This is the most expensive and nice salvation army store I've ever seen in my life
Sonya
I wish I lived in Atlanta we don't have a Salvation Army thrift store here in Alabama. But they have some nice items thanks for sharing
Have a bless day
I just wanted to tell you Sonyabeonit that I really enjoy your videos. you are really down to earth. I lived off and on in ATL for about 20 yrs and I like trying to figure out where you are. anyway you are my friend in my mind😁 btw new subbie for about 3 months! God Bless you and yours.
The Store is Very Clean and the Store Items are well Organized. The Prices are pretty Expensive.Very Unique Items. The Cleanest n most Organized Salvation Army I've ever seen
.
It's a nice Salvation Army but it's in Atlanta they got the stuff for free but they're literally acting like it came from an actual furniture store with the prices I know they got to make a profit but damn if you going to pay that kind of money for second hand furniture why not put three more hundred dollars with it and just go to a real furniture store like damn even the Salvation Army's and Goodwills try to finesse you out of money if that's the case I would rather go to a real furniture store and pay their high ass prices for something brand-spanking-new.💯✌️
Can somebody import this furniture in to GB. Much better quality than new here . Come and charity shops in GB 🇬🇧 ❤️
That stuff is frickin expensive!
Salvation Army and good will both hav raised their prices, so high, collectors can afford, but not poor people who need them
Over priced, watch out for bed bugs
show was nice ,but you can drive around in the summer and pick all that stuff for free
Are you not doing anymore blogs!?? With ur Familia!?
OMG you found some really nice Treasures that's store just saying
These videos relax me for some reason... ❤❤❤
Wow nice store.the salvation army stores in my area a pretty nasty.
Are you sure you didn't just walk into a regular furniture store because those prices are insane for a salvation army! The salvation army is suppose to help need people..not rip them off.
Everything is so well organized.
Sonya if you go on the Salvation Army's website you will find these other Atlanta area locations. 3801 Highway 78 SW in Snellville, 10723 Alpharetta Hwy in Roswell, and 3825 Venture Drive in Duluth which is not far from Gwinnett Place Mall. Since I live in NE Atlanta the one in the Duluth would be closer to me.
Too damn high for stuff they get for free. I think the tags are coded at discount prices.
like this video
looks like the Salvation Army on Marietta St.
Yes it is the one in Downtown Atlanta.
Thanks Sony for the information of Salvation Army store I sending information in ATL I in Baltimore there are som great things in there.
What a wonderful time with you going through this place. Thank you Sonia.
Loved that couch for 349! that's really nice!! I had a white couch for years just use scotch guard.
And that glass table with the wicker type chairs is Beautiful!
that black poodle is a highly collectable item. Especially if it's vintage. & it looks it
Hi. Sonya!!! I love your name of your channel. I clicked so fast. I just moved back to the states to Atlanta. I'm going thrift store crazy!!!
Thank you good looking out loving it
wow they look very high end compared to ours :P
Wow that was a nice thrift store thanks for taking us along with you. I enjoyed the tour. tfs
I’ve been to that Salvation Army before and they have lots of furniture and other household goods! I miss Atlanta Thrift Stores! 😢🌿💚
thank you for your video loved it, I live in a place called New Zealand our salvation army second hand shops ( thrift shops) are so expensive, what you showed would be double the price here if not triple
love it Sonya. love from New Zealand
hey Sonyabeonit
tfs
Wow - a clean, orderly Salvation Army store. Total opposite from the one in my town. Lucky Atlanta folks!
that is not quality furniture...just check the bottom of the drawer...and most i saw is p board...and the prices are high and a standard for the thrift stores...who think that used items can be sold as new...go figure that out...
Very nice and great prices....each store is different...Wow, I likes ur salvation army..🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽
Very nice Ms. Sonyabeonit hun just nice nice nice nice beyond nice girlie. I know it's going going gone to your house. 😀😀😀😋😄
I like thrift shopping, but my go to store is Goodwill. Salvation Army is way too expensive!
I fun shopping with you. I saw a few things I would buy straight out. I'll have to visit a Salvation Army store in my Chicago area.
hello Sonya I just want to let you know that is a very nice used store that you're in they have a lot of nice fine,s in the store the furniture is not I really liked all the furniture I love the little Guardian Angel you picked up even the little odds and ends around the store was heaving nice they have good stuff in that store just saying
Everything is so nice, some good finds Sonya!! That's just why you can't sleep on them salvation stores!
I don’t know where this store is, but the Salvation Army thrift stores I’ve been to don’t have ANYTHING even CLOSE to that nice! That furniture was gorgeous! Though, no one I know would pay $350 for a couch from a thrift store. You can buy a new one for $300-$400 at Leon’s or The Brick. Seriously though, nice store! And I’ve been in these stores all over Canada. You see the rare piece that’s in really nice condition, but it’s not common.
To much ,,, the. Price. are to much , l live in AUSTRALIA,, salvación. Army , in. here are big ,, en you pay little money ,, for a staff like that ,, around 10 to 80 dollars ,, and for ... the small thing. From 1 dollar ,, to a 100 dollars if the fornituras are really good,, but thanks for the video very , interesting ,, 👍👍👍 good work , Our Lord JESUCHRIST bless you ,,
I truly appreciate you for taking us along with you
This is great! I'm going to look up a local Salvation Army to see if they have any wall units
Very nice things Sonya, there were great deals also. I'm from the windy city Chicago those where great deals.
Sometimes the Salvation Army prices is higher than regular department stores.....so you with say to yourself hell I go to Burlington TJ Max Walmart just to name a few and get it new before I pay the price they are asking for....... that's ridiculous to go in there and pay more for used clothes when you can go get them new for a lower price...... where is this thrift store in Beverly Hills California....
In GB we have no nice things in this shops . Bad junk is on sale here .
I love the chairs
I've seen furniture pieces into the $1000 to $2000 before. Yes, they were beautiful but for used furniture, oh my. Some of these places, just ripping folks off.
I love the Salvation Army I purchase so many pieces that I paid under 50.00 and they are by well known artisans and sold by well know companies. I have to drive by and not look that way😂😂😂
Most of those items looks like what Brandnames retailers give surplus!👍
Way to expensive. And then have to buy beg bug spray for it. Just crazy!!! I would definitely treat it with be g spray before entering my house.
Nice items, but overpriced-just like in my area. I have actually found items in the second hand stores in my area that were priced HIGHER than the same item brand new.
Very nice curb sofa, they really took very good care of it. Really nice Salvation Army👍🏼👍🏼
Every Salvation Army and goodwill stores I have been in is sooo expensive. Everything is donated so it doesn’t cost them anything. That’s why I don’t buy anything from these stores.
salvation army thrift store is too expensive especially oit used stuff. our local store has a 100 disc cd player for $199. You can buy that new for that price back in the day.
That is a nice Salvation Army Store.
We can't have shops like that in the UKand also as far as the salvation army is concerned if it cost £10 brand new they charge £40 for the privilege and the prices are way too expensive for second-hand furniture
My local Salvation Army recently closed it doors. It had to keep raising their prices over the past several years and tried to stay afloat. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and they could no longer remain in business. If they sold everything dirt cheap, they would have closed a long time ago. If we want them to continue then we need to stop complaining their prices are too high.
Why does Goodwill charge so much...it suppose to be a store that low income people can buy things...they have gotten out of hand with their prices...
Salvation Army is so expensive. Probably most you can get brand new with that price
Oh, I loved that sectional couch! Atlanta's Salvation Army got it goin' on!!! Out here in Saginaw, Michigan our Salvation Army is kind of messy and not a lot of really good things either! But they are asking 6.00 for some jeans! I mean to me that is high for being used. Good video! God Bless ya!
The salvation army in Houston is sky high and ridiculous considering 100% of everything in the store is donated.
