I would stear people away from epic centers when doing dsps. Also I would stear them towards 90-110 SNR rated amps so the music is very accurate. Ampguru has helix hxa400s for 300 that will sound 2-3x those amps. SNR and THD are some of the most important stats when buying an amp. Pairing basic amps with an amazing dsp isnt going to take full advantage of the helix nor will it be sound quality. Its like putting a v4 engine in a bwm m5.
I definitely agree but it's a work in progress, not everyone can spend their money all at one time and it does sound way better than it did before. Amps will get upgraded next year.
Epicenters are fine w DSPs, you would clean the high level input first then from dsp to epicenter with full range output, and use the amps crossover. Also, set gains without any overlap so you do not risk clipping. But it all depends on the music you listen too. If its newer hip hop rap, you can skip the epicenter.
