    I have followed quite a few through hikers over the last 5 years and find your vids the most entertaining, real inspiring. Your ultra pleasant personality is infectious and you seem to have found very good friends to hike with. Keep it up and stay safe sweetie.

    I see you've been suffering from the heat especially in the burn zones. Have you tried soaking your clothes in water where available and hiking in wet clothes? It has worked well for me. Someone should invent clothes made of sponge!

    Burn zones aside, between Lassen and Shasta NorCal has its own "mini desert" along the Hat Creek Rim. And the burn zones magnify that. I think it surprises a lot of folks who aren't expecting "desert temperatures." So glad you got some rest in Shasta!
    Looking forward to your next videos. Be safe and keep at it!

    I lived in Redding for 10 years (moved last year) and spent a TON of time in Lassen as well as the Trinity Alps (Shasta). They're both so underrated. This video made me miss it a lot.

    Packing your bag becomes very personal for each hiker but how did YOU pack your bag? Could you do a video of it?

    Hi...I've loved watching your videos. I know you have had issues with you knee. I just noticed this but when your walking you are turning out your right foot just a little bit. I do this too and it does cause knee issues. If you just start adjusting to put your foot straight, it may help your knee. At first you have to think about it but eventually it becomes habit and everything is aligned better and you'll feel much better after long days.

    Can someone explain to me how it works with the bears and the bearcannister... Why do you need a cannister in some places and you don't in others?

    • @elliemay3147
      @elliemay3147 Рік тому

      Protecting food from bears with a canister is recommended (or required in some areas) where bears live. Once a bear associates people equals food it may become a problem bear. If it's deemed a problem bear, there's a high chance it will be euthanized.

    Arielle! Great to see you again (and note that the bear wasn’t an issue!). An off the wall question... have you encountered another thru-hiker named Twiggy? I’ve been following her vlog as well and was just curious if you might have crossed paths with her. I believe if you saw her it would have been near the Feather River before entering the Cascades! Keep on truckin’ girl! You’re doing great! 🥰

    Hello, I like all of your videos, you gals are hard-core backpackers. Remember, temperature is recorded in the shade, while in the sun add another ten degrees or more, at least. Thanks for taking me along, I get to enjoy the journey from home Looking forward to you completing the PCT !! Also, I'm a former Roaring Fork Valley resident take care.

    Another great video. I was sad to see the McCloud River was so dirty from the looks of another glacier melt off Shasta. Usually the river is super clear and cold. At the least trail should have been pretty clear since they cleared it in June while I was there. Hope your Zero and Shasta treated you well. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Be safe!
